    As landlord. Renting out my property. I appreciate you guys doing what is right. And also spending time and money to improve things to help out. My renter for past 17 years does same thing. Much appreciated. But there are times I share spend money to improve too. Everyone has to work together. You guys are great and also have a great team that understands/respect equipment/ property. Good for you guys 🙂

    I am no profesional welder but i was always told to heat up something like that before welding on it because it puts a sock to it if you dont
    And it worked for me !!

    Eric if you hear the hitch with a rise bud first before welding your results will be even better for you as it will help the metal bond better due to the thickness of the loop . Great job

    Agree with the comments on preheated hitch before welding. Also you are correct, the welding medium is often much stronger than the subject of the weld. I am not certain what wire you were using, but a class 5 hitch is probably a very strong forged steel so this may not be true in this situation.

    I know you talked about a manlift for the grain bins but they come in handy for many things. We had a Genie S-85 and it was great for washing machines. You can get above them and wash down. You get things cleaner faster and stay drier and safer.

    We used to have a "White Castle Wednesday's" club at work ... we would get the crave cases (I think it's something like 30 of them) for breakfast
    They are AMAZING for breakfast. You have to get the onions on them. It is a must.

    We are very spoiled in North Central Indiana with quarries being white limestone the gravel looks much different here

    It is good you have the various equipment to fix about everything. The welding Swede did looked like a great repair and probably saved money as it looked like an expensive piece.

      Unfortunately, seems only channels with a pretty smile and mammaries get lots of subs very quickly. Lots of thirsty boys out there, it would seem. None of those channels hold a candle to Larson farms, either. It’s a shame.

And a perfect example of how Chet sticks to his morals; I'm sure he knows that if he put his beautiful fiance in all of his videos, and used her for the vid's thumbnail pic he'd get a lot more views and subs, which of course equals more money. Good on him for sticking to what is truly important in life.
      Larson Farms is the only RUclips channel I've ever supported by buying merch, and that's primarily because they are a fine example of what an American family should be. Love my Larson Farms hats and shirts.

    My compliments to both of the gentlemen from Iowa that help you at Larsons Farms. They are super guys and willing to tackle any kind of job on the farm. Good to have them.
    Never heard of a tile line catching fire like your did. Was interesting to see what happened there. You all did a good fix on it. Should work good now.
    Chet, you are right about working with your neighbor especially on water projects. Makes it better for both of you. Working together helps both of you. Good deal.

    Wish we had the opportunity to tile. Most of our land has Fish and Wildlife easements on them, can't do anything. Wet spring we get what we get, and prevent plant the rest. Also why tillage is an important part of our operation.

    Eric,, the hitch you fixed was broken when you started! you cant make it more broken, only better. The other option is a new part. even if your repair fails, its still get a new part, no loss.. And,, you had a great explanation..

      Best thing about stick welding is you can choose different rods for each application. In my Ag class, decades ago, we had "hardsurface" rods. Just crank up the amps and lay down the beads.

    Eric i am a machineist. Just use the wire the gap will create a fault line. You can get proper wire but it is an okay repair.

    I like the advice, but I'd generalize it even more. Talk to your neighbors. They don't come out, go to them. You don't have to be sing around the campfire buddies but the ability to simply pick up a phone and call them solves disputes before they start.

    Nice to have 10' of topsoil to work in! Around here, we are lucky not to get into rock in 18". If we are lucky it's shale. If not, its ROCK.

    At the RR, we weld frogs all the time, it lasts about 2 months of heavy traffic before it needs gouged out and rewelded but it’s cheaper than a new frog.

    White Castle sliders are the bombs I live in Tennessee move from Chicago and we do not have white castles down here every time I go to Chicago I load up on
