I can't stress enough how much I respect both Strawberry Switchblade and Rose's solo work. I think she's a serious talent who deserved far more recognition than she got. People will be inclined to call this sad or hard to watch but she's clearly having fun.

In 1985 I was broke and doing A levels .. this song was such a breath of fresh air and escape.. it gives me such a special feeling even today.. but also feel a tinge of sadness as it was 37 years ago.. where has my time gone ... love you Rose X
The original pulled the heartstrings, but this version really adds to the emotional melancholy to the lyrics, especially with her older voice. I feel it would be better without the male backing vocals, but her defiance of singing louder and higher gives it a lift!

Jill had mental health issues. She dealt with anthropophobia( fear of people). I was shocked how long she lasted being famous. I'm sure every day was a battle on her mental. The interviews with strawberry switchblade are kind of awkward. Especially seeing Jill glued to Rose. Fun fact Rose and Jill lived in the same apt building. Rose stayed at the bottom, and Jill was upstairs they were inseparable at one time until the fall out, and Rose was very devastated.
