    11. Small homogeneous town.
If you speak with an accent, they’ll look at you funny and ask you to repeat yourself, even when your English sounds perfectly clear. People in Fort Collins don’t seem to have a broad perspective regarding cultural diversity.

Also where I live we don't make as much so those 3 years are definitely needed to save my money. Fort Collins is where I definitely want to be. I would call but its a little early for that.

@@pamlippert9662 most side streets are not plowed after a snow storm. We lived on Faraday Circle (across the 10th tee at Collindale Golf Course just inside of Horsetooth Rd. After a snow we had to deal with snow covered streets that were slow to melt. If it was a heavy snow storm I couldn't get my car out until the snow was packed by street traffic. My wife and I also own a Nissan Xterra so we were not stuck. No, snow and blizzards aren't scary but be aware that side streets are not plowed.

He forgot to mention the traffic... it is horrible. They keep building new apt complexes and housing developments and it just keeps getting worse and worse. The city people don't take this into account when designing the city. They just look for .. ohh more tax money yeah, and property taxes oh boy!!! Yeah, that is a thing in fort collins. Be aware of stop light cameras..they are cash cows and make it so police don't have to do the work. Oh, and if you have a moped stolen out of your parking lot... you can't report that over the phone you have to go to their website.... sad, I know. Keep them donuts a comin'.....

I moved to Fort Collins and it is a nice little town with a good climate but the local people have a horrible attitude. Everyone asks me why I moved here. You can tell that the local people don't like people from other places and for reasons I cannot understand they are arrogant. It is like they think this little rural town is posh or something. It doesn't make any sense and when the wind blows just right I smell cows depending on what side of town you happen to be on. The entire city is no more than 10 miles wide and the locals seem to act as if it's a long way from one end of town to the other. On top of that there isn't really anything to do other than eat at a restaurant. And everyone is biased to the part of town they live in and it is all just about the same anyway. As soon as the housing market improves I'm selling.

I love dogs, I love a cold beer, I live in Oklahoma and the weather constantly changes and almost everybody has problems with allergies, so that's not anything new to me.
