Hi and thanks for watching :) Bora Boréal didn't pay us to make this video, we just thought it was a nice float home and we included their info and the end of the tour.
As usual, this quality video is yet one more example which explains why you two have nearly TWO and a QUARTER MILLION subscribers! Thank you both for sharing the videos which are the completed products of your expertise, talent & passion.
Loved the aesthetic of the home and its location. A missed opportunity, I think, was not creating an outdoor deck where one could sit and have a drink or meal. Didn't seem like there was anywhere to put one's clothes/suitcases when vacationing there. And last, not having a shower in the unit, especially in the winter, would not be ideal.
Minimalist living at its finest. Perfect for vacationing. It really is gorgeous for folks who live minimalist. I am not one of those folks and I need my shower/bath for meditation.
sitting right beside nature, and you need a bath or shower to meditate? Are you sure it's meditation your doing? There's water in the river! And it hasn't been processed by human hands. I strongly suggest you connect with something like nature... and natural water... friend. I won't apologize for sounding bossy. It's for your own benefit. xo
A Nice place to turn your mind out of the city. Bravo for Bora Boréal and for you guys. Although it could be nice to skate on the winter skate ring; September would be my first choice to explore this beautiful place. Thanks, luv it
ill admit the whole " tiny home " thang i really thought was a joke , That was until i seen yours , damn as Mr. Gump would say " i like it , i like it a lot " and wherever you got it at is priceless!!
That’s my dream home I can live there until I die love it love it but I will sleep on the bottom those sofas look comftables I cannot climb but is very beautiful out there the house the surroundings amazing
You could fish in your living room and cook pan fish on the cooktop! Fishing in your slippers. Throw a bobber in and just wait while you have your morning coffee....
Its an interesting place, but there are some major turn-offs as well. I don't really like the idea of an open bedroom above my dining area. I'd be nervous of things dropping down. I don't like the fact that there aren't any curtains. Another thing that I would find less than ideal is that I have to transport the grey and black water to another location on the property. That does NOT sound like fun. I also don't like that there doesn't seem to be any privacy WITHIN the home. The bedroom is open and people below can see straight up into the room. Showers being in a separate building can also be incredibly annoying. Its a beautiful property, but they chose aesthetics over practicality. It would have been better in my opinion of they would have made a better mix. Though, this isn't my favorite property, I do thank you for showing it in this video!
@@janeysiegrist5061 Did you see the rain on the water outside? And that doesnt look like winter to me. Granted, there are those ladies who would be unfazed by that, but then there are those who wouldnt enjoy the cold muddy trip to and from the shower. Understand this: I live in a tiny house with an outside solar heated shower/toilet. I guess you might call it a "wetroom". Summer is great IF Im home while the sun is shining, but last winter I installed a shower indoors.... I just had to. This setup MIGHT be ok for a rental unit, but not for living permanently, but to be honest, I'm not really interested in watching videos about fab rental pads, although, I must concede, there are sometimes some good ideas to be gleaned. Im much more interested in seeing how people live their lives in small dwellings and how they deal with the challenges. One of which would be going out to the shower in winter.
@Nature's Infinite WELLth it's a Murrkin thang. It's almost as if the word "toilet" is somehow "dirty" . I've never heard it called "toilet room" in Britain, but yeah. You missed WC, which is "Water Closet". That's gotta be Murrkin too. The English dialect speakers. LOL.
Amazing. I just hope it has an smart sewage system. A septic tank is a way to go, but if the house were 1 level hight, we could have and entire sewage treatment system, a garage, and a gym or an atellier, just under it. Despite que great view around, without city lights astronomy is a must. I would put longe chairs and a telescope on the ceiling. Good to watch wild life too. Great concept.
Wonder wat they do about the killer mozies. well on the side of a lake they can truly turn into lil killers i no that much my friend. 'nice set up tho.
Looks great but that swamp is a mosquitoes haven lol. The type of netting you will need would have to be as reliable as prison barbwire. Your ass would have so many mosquito bites one would think you had small pox. It’s a no.
That mesh floor in the sleeping loft is only fun until your date drops an earring, or you drop a pen or a battery or something. Then it's a pain in the **s because you have to go all the way back downstairs to retrieve that item.
That ladder is the same thing I have to go up into my garage and those are not well built units. 500 W of solar is not nearly enough in Quebec city to keep those batteries charged for any length of time and if you notice they go to all this trouble on the rest of the house and then look at the kitchen. That stove is a $25 butane canister stove from Amazon 😂 A garage door fora wall????? 😂 why would you go to all this trouble to make things so nice and then go cheap on such critical items?
What a beautiful place! It seems like a creative and simple solution for having option for some privacy with all those big windows would be good. also, I'm wondering why they put in a grated floor for loft... Dust, dirt etc will fall down to the areas below... I see no practical reason to Support such a choice... there's already plenty of light in that space
Hi and thanks for your comment :) We always try our best to show a mix of people living in spaces as well as builders and also some rentals. When we feature rentals we try to find places with interesting and unique designs that might inspire or give people ideas. It's also very challenging to find people who are living in alternative spaces week after week so we have to balance everything as best we can. That being said, we plan to show less rentals moving forward. Thanks for watching :)
Wow. This place is great...mostly. The garage door is very cool and it being screened is really sweet. It would be good for a family or even a group of friends. The living/dining areas are obviously set up for a few people. The garage door is cool, but what's even cooler is that it's screened. The first downside is having to go outside to shower, especially in the winter! The second downside is the kitchen. Yes, it's nice to have a grill, I'm not sure how thrilled I'd be to do that in the snow. So really the only real cooking area is the 2(?) burner in the corner area of the small counter/prep area...which is NOT spaious. If one is cooking for a family or small group, good luck. So much space is given everywhere else, but not the kitchen??? I didn't even see a toaster oven, let alone a real oven. This is a complete deal breaker for me. Whoever designed this place either doesn't like to cook or just doesn't. Even coming up for a couple of nights with my family this wouldn't work. I don't feed them prepackaged 'food' that just needs to be heated up or just thrown into a bowl. What a shame. If this had a real kitchen it would be a great place.
@bleh329 Bleh. Guess only your opinion counts. I agree with the first comment. If this is a rental, which it is, constructive criticism is important, and can lead to improvements that can increase their income by appealing to more people.
@@charlesmciver897 I am really not sure what is good about this house. It seems spacious and bright, but that's about it. I don't cook a lot and maybe the idea is that people will grill on the outside bbq, but fridge would be enough for steaks, veggies and drinks for 1 night. 19l of water for washing dishes lol. Will the garage door insulate enough? ÍWould be much cooler if there was more sitting area outside and/or on the roof. Shower is not nearby, so feet will get dirty before returning. Might be good for 1-2 nights, but not functional to stay for more and connect with the nature

For sale with land?
After so many years following this movement. I have never seen a glass garage door used this way ... AMAZING IDEA ❤ ❤ ❤

Wow, this is a place I can see myself loving, with zero changes. Great work!
Ohhhh! Ice Skating in the winter - right out your door! Cool!
I love this 1. Bet there is a real sense of serenity

That home is stunning.
Absolutely fabulous. What a view, year round
Brilliant. And lucky you❤
Very nice beautiful setting i myself would have added a 4 foot deck off of the sliders' and upper sunbathing bird wildlife watching love this unit

very nice little house but won’t there be a bazillion flies over this little see in the summer?
Holy moly.
Need the build plans
Awesome 👌🏾
Beautiful home,, stunning location, but if you cant bath or even shower in it, it's a TOILET... NOT a bathroom.
Major drawback that. I would pump pond water through a particle filter and a gas geyser and use biodegradable soap. Or have a grey water tank.
@Maarten de Groot why? There's a shower room right on shore?

Beautiful design but where is the clothing storage
Kudos to the person who designed this. I personally wouldn't put black furniture but the overall is amazing. thanks for sharing.
Great video, this looks like a very relaxing place!
wow!
I wonder how well it's insulated with that garage type door window esp. for winter times.
Untouchables 🤳 of UNICEF Universe 🤳√
The steam and smell of cooking into the bedroom through the grill floor surely is a design flaw.
I didn't even think of that.
@Bleh Have you missed the point here....These are New Build Holiday / Vacation homes not Student Apartments
@Bleh Lame? I've lived in a bachelor and I'm even great cook, but Paul is right.
The worst part about that grill beside the bed is crawling in and out and scraping your knees or other body parts!
Beautiful 🥰🥰
I just want to know how many water snakes get into the home? Other than that. OMG LOVE IT
Should have turned the ladder long ways and closer to a corner so it can be out the way when it's down. But this house is perfect.
What’s the property tax on a float home considering water space isn’t normally taxed?
❤❤❤
Great Video! Was this House 1 or 2?
Beautiful Off Grid float home. Please share where we can find the floor sofa?

Can you put 2 layers of felt on a shed roof?
Really love the idea of a water home - simple and peaceful! Can you tell me where the modula sofa seats are from??
Are the mosquitoes bad in spring thru early fall? All that water surrounding.
500 Watts of Solar is enough? For light, water pump and refrigeration it might get by. Are the windows double glazed?
Whats the deal with mosquitos though?
I have a duck blind that looks similar to this
This looks good, but I bet that the mosquitos are a huge pain in this area.
Coconut 🥥 wipes … mosquitoes 🦟.. 👍🏻 fly screen s ..

I like the concrete ones they make overseas
The bugs flying through that garbage door in the summer must be otherworldly

So it's just a boathouse but not really. There are tons in lakes all over the US.
