@@morgannevioletdelain1019 I can't be the first to mention it? The resemblance is uncanny. Also, you're hope is beautiful, may you have many long and happy years there.
Yes, I’m hoping to find a piece of land very difficult to come by here in Southern California. I am not retired and I still work. It seems like you have to move to the desert and it’s just too hot. There’s no trees.
I'm sitting here watching this video (I'm Canadian) and thinking I need to go make a cup of tea, and Violet says she's Canadian and loves tea! And Violet, I love your home, and the "charming" fence and your outdoor bathroom (that is my dream!), the catio, the fire pit area - I love everything. It's like you've created a beautiful "set." I wouldn't want to pay rent for my land, but we all make the choices we can live with. This is really inspiring!
I'm a Canadian also and this is a dream to me. There could be another province in this area. However I think the monthly rent is a little bit taunting. Love the catio also. I find there is lot of storage in the kitchen but I don't know where there are countertops to work on.
Yes, I could use a little more counterspace. The monthly rent is a little daunting to me, but I think when I get ready to retire, I may have to make a change maybe find a piece of land.
I’m Canadian also. This is a beautiful space, but even here in the Toronto/Niagara area, we wouldn’t be able to use the outside space & tub from about November to May. How lovely that this lady can use the outside spaces most of the year 👍🏻🇨🇦
Violet has such a calming voice, and presence. I love her home! The outside space is so pretty and functional! It, as well as the inside looks and feels so Zen!❤ Well done, Violet! All the best to You!💕
Charming and inviting but I would feel resentful having to pay so much just to rent the space to put it on. Living in Mexico was my alternative to building a tiny house. People here aren't rushing, stressed or angry and that is game changing.
I heard the number, had to go back and look at it again to make sure I wasn't confusing myself. You might as well be still renting, my god. Like, what did I buy a house for, if I have to keep paying this much? I get she's in California, but still.
@joyannesloan8384 That's interesting. ¿Y aprendió hablar español? Si nos puede contar más por favor hágalo. Vives en una ciudad, en un tiny o no, que es el costo de la vida etc. ¡Gracias!
In Southern California (which looks like it's probably within an easy drive of either LA or San Diego), $1200 isn't terrible, especially for such a large lot. I haven't seen anything under $900 anywhere in California, even in areas I wouldn't want to live in. $1200 is also too much for me too, but I can see why she would pay it for the right place.
She has a beautiful set up there and, for California, even the lot rent is reasonable. She was fortunate to find a finished tiny home that so completely met her needs!
@@tamielizabethallaway2413 Yes, for CA that's reasonable assuming her home is paid for. Even on my fixed income as a retiree, assuming my home was paid for, I could afford that rent myself and still live decently. I live Michigan, so a lot rent of that amount would be unheard of, but again, it always depends on where you live and what the market will bear.
@@jenniferdyke3335 well, I'm not American, nor own a house, but for that amount each month I'd expect my rent to get me large gardens front and back, and a whole four bedroomed house INCLUDING ALL REPAIRS! 😘
I just LOVE the outdoor space: Living in New Brunswick I'd probably only have four or five monhts that I could use it, but it would still be worth it. It just feels so light and welcoming and peaceful. Violet's loft was beautiful. It has more head room than most lofts I've seen, making it much more attrictive than the lower ones. But most of all I love Violet's energy: calm and welcoming. And that's probably why her space seems to give off the same type of energy. Lovely space Violet! You've found your home!
Yes, here in California and outdoor room is the thing. I can use the space probably eight months of the year . We have three or four months that it’s a really hot and then we have a rainy season. And once I get a waterproof roof up there, I think it will be so much better. Thank you for your comments !
You have a large yard. That is quite exspensive for a lot payment. You do have great yard. The house perfect for a person or two. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Violet, I like your tiny house a lot. The space is functional yet stylish too. The outdoor space looks great. I love the catio. I have to say the rent is pretty steep for my budget. I lived in the high desert of California during my late teens and it is pretty great for seeing the stars. I do remember the mosquitos being bad. Now I live in east Tennessee. We just experienced a hurricane. We moved from Houston to get away from them. Go figure!
Violet, your home is absolutely gorgeous! It's exactly my vibe, except the space rent, which (for many people) is like paying a house payment all over again. : ) I like the idea of screening in that outside area and installing a large pull-down screen for viewing movies, so you and Truffle can cozy up together on your comfy outdoor furniture, with or without family and or friends. A super relaxing environment. It's apparent you made the right choice, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city life behind. We are only limited by our imaginations.
Violet, I think your tiny house has been one of my absolute favorites. The only question I have is, do you have an oven? I thought you took it out. In that case, besides a microwave, what do you use to cook food? I love your dress by the way.. You are a pretty lady with very nice features. Thanks so much for sharing this. I really loved it and how you made use especially of your outdoor space. Oh! to have a bathtub outdoors! Wow~

Love the garden and landscaping but on a rented property I’d be always worried about the owner wanted his land back. The cost of rental is also like a mortgage repayment.
