We hope you enjoy the full video tour of this fits-just-right home! I absolutely adore this home. I love how Leah has made this a space that is so personal to her. As someone very close to my own family and a huge proponent of multi-generational living, I love to see the wonderful relationship she has with her parent in their mini family compound. How stunning are the gardens they tend together! Thanks for watching. We hope you enjoy! With Love, Bryce & Rasa
I just love this type home and how sweet and connected she is with her parents and children as well!!... I love the emphasis of her family memories and heritage being combine into personal spaces that bring comfort and peace. ❤😊
This is one of the nicest tiny homes I've seen. I really like Lee's design and her understanding of her own needs. Are you able to tell us the dimensions of her home?
This is pretty close to my dream. As a single older woman with grown kids the multi gen idea is wonderful, but also Lee’s interiors and garden; warm, individual and filled with beautiful things whilst avoiding either minimalism or clutter. 👌🏾
Much of your time and focus at home should be about you, not about what others would expect you to have available for their intermittent visits. She’s living for what is; not for what ifs.
As someone who doesn't like entertaining, I like that she was realistic about what she WANTED to do in her home (sit and read, not host!). She seems like she really knows herself.
I really do think the idea of a family village, where everyone has their own tiny/tiny combo on their own site on a shared patch of land is the way to go. And, honestly, it’s the only way most kids will be able to afford to have a home of their own. For the price of a run down 2 bed apt, you can get three two bed tiny homes with an enclosed deck & solar, for example. It just makes sense to pool money to buy a section & build a family village IMO.
This needs families that want/can be together. In places where this is still the norm people do not necessarily stay because of togetherness, but quite often out of sheer existencial need. And surely not everybody is truly happy with this.
@@FranziskaSZ-t2p I agree that it's not for everybody, but it can be a solution for many people! And I totally agree with the cost of building! The obsession with huge spaces requiring a pretty extensive mortgage is nonsense. I also believe in the idea of a small footprint and ecological behavior. Objectively, one person can be pretty happy and content with some 300 square ft/ cca 30m2 with some extension into a deck, small yard/garden, etc. The needs and wants of many people can be pretty different, though...
I think people who are not family but are a "created" family can also share a patch of land and live in their own separate tiny homes. Not everyone has the option of living with blood relatives. Where I am it would cost a fortune to do this, with land coming in at a minimum of 200K, and each tiny home a minimum of 180-200K. It's still cheaper than a house in decent condition near a town. It's still reasonable difficult to get a mortgage for a tiny home. I asked for a mortgage at the going rate, but was told no, but offered 20K at 19%. Nope.
O.M.G!!! I have never yelled as loudly in front of the computer as I did when the camera panned to her bedroom! I was gasping at the emerald walls and dark kitchen already, and I thought that was it. But the bedroom ... Lee's taste is exquisite!! Her home is royally decadent and stunning. Now to watch the rest of the video.
Same! All around. I feel so drawn to the colour palette - rich, yet cozy. The rooms make me think of the number of books to be read, and cups of tea or coffee and glasses of wine to be had within them.
I love this tiny house. The layout with the main floor bedroom, the green walls, the wallpaper. It gives me moody Victorian era vibes in a modern package. Definitely one of my favorites.
Ahhh! Such a beautiful home and community living is the way to live!!! Good beautiful morning here in western North Carolina. No power, boiling the water but blessed to see the sun come up over the mountains. Please keep all in western NC in your thoughts and prayers. Helene was devastating in our town and worse west of us. Thank you for keeping us in your hearts and prayers🙏
We’ve been there last year with Cyclone Gabrielle and this week flooding in Dunedin, so our thoughts are with you all for a safe and thorough recovery. I’m glad you have something to boil water on Charlotte…it was the one thing I wasn’t prepared with initially when the power went down but thanks to good neighbours I got a cup of tea! We have to be prepared for anything these days!
I just love how she designed the interior of her tiny house. It's quite unique that the kitchen is tucked in one corner. The living area is a cozy alternative to the usual sofa/sofa bed/couch. Plus, the color scheme adds to the coziness of the space. Good thing it's still early here in my side of the world I still get to watch it an hour after it's been uploaded. Thanks for this Bryce and Rasa.
What a wonderful use of color in her tiny house! The deep tones make it feel so homey and upscale. The wallpapered feature wall and the chandelier? Wow! I enjoyed seeing a different style from all the neutrals going on right now! ❤
I thought so too. I believe she achieved it by using a full instead of a queen bed which gives an additional 6 inches in width and 5 inches in length. (looked it up). Plus the use of a single small nightstand, a single potted plant and nothing else. Really smart move to make the space seem bigger. Plus the wallpaper and chandelier draw the eye up. Brilliant.
Absolutely love the home, beautifully decorated with taste.the décor so great, not being unkind here but please lose the metal porch I think that it spoils the lovely home 🏠🏠.❤❤
So many folks who have tinies have family to help them build, finance and locate their homes. The cost has gotten so high that many of us single folks can't afford to do it on our own. Enjoy it!
Definitely not selfish, very sensible. She now has the time and money to live the life that best suits her. Life should be about that. Live it well, Leah ❤
Beautiful and personally styled tiny house. That bedroom looks like a boutique hotel room 😊 And how wonderful to share with the family and build a community. And great idea about the cow bell!
Lovely tiny home! The one thing I notice from watching films about tiny homes, there is usually some 'gift' involved, from relatives mostly, but also from friends who have land. No-one talks about how difficult it is to find land and meet council policies.
@@JelissaSkinner Yes.. I constantly wish i could ask these fabulous creative people who have succeeded in living in their tinys how they dealt with council issues.... its a significant issue for sure
In Australia you can't place a tiny on land, even your own land, without there being an existing house there. The Councils vary, but then charge a licence fee in addition to any arrangement you may make with the landowner. Considering we have a housing crisis and there are people living in tents (being moved on nightly), this is injustice. I've heard that councils use drones to identify 'illegal' tiny homes that are flying under the radar.
Leah has done some charming things to this home! I especially love the "private" entrance, the separation of her clothing area from the bedroom, so that the bedroom is its own small jewel. And I really love the effect of the potted plants and the outdoor seating set up in a way that it conceals the underside of the tiny. Along with all the family heirlooms, and her personalized colour scheme that is so different from 99.9% of the other tinies I've seen, this is really a gem of a home. Well done, Leah! I love that you and your family get to live in close proximity and do things together. Bryce is right about bringing back multi-generational living!
i love the clean and open concept of the home. it feels super relaxed because it's not overwhelmed by obvious storage, furniture, or knickknacks. amazing job lee!
Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous home! I love that she was “selfish” and built the home for her! Love the deep moody colors & oh my the wallpaper 😮❤. Not sure I’ve seen such a wonderfully landscaped property. A tiny bit jealous. Thank you!!
We just put our first window in our 192 yesterday! I love how she says to make it an extension of yourself. We are doing music and drums. I love music as if it’s air and my spouse is a drummer so we decided at our ripe old age to play around and have fun with our tiny build. Hopefully someday we can show it off!! ❤ I love her tiny home!!
What a fabulous home she’s built for herself. How great that she can live so closely to her parents, & that she has space to have her parents & children in for meals. Another lovely person, beautiful home & great showing from Bryce & Rasa. Thank you 👍🏻💐🇨🇦
So many amazing things about this one. Love the colours! But the location, grounds and specifically the "wall" of trees enclosing it on two sides makes it feel so cozy and nurtured 💚 so beautiful 😊 Thanks for another wonderful video, Bryce and Rasa 😁
Prettiest decorated home, best layout of rooms and the most calming environment (inside and outside) I have ever seen in a tiny. Thank you for sharing this.

I absolutely love her home. The colors are so soothing. I like how she knew that was right for her & did it. And her bedroom...😍. I'm blown away! What a beautiful warm home you have created. I love it, well done and so wonderful to be on land with your parents, but having your own place, it is so relaxing and calm. Love Dad's cow bell to call you for a cup of tea or dinner.
This is such a case of Lee taking back her life after her divorce. The house ticks all the boxes of exactly what she wants for an environment. Go her!!!
Beautiful ❤ that back porch is dreamy, a perfect practical solution without shading all the light out of the home. Its very interesting seeing these one story builds with older people in mind. I can really see why it would be so empowering after a divorce or a big change in life just to strip back and only hold onto absolute favourite meaningful personal items, and let go of the rest of whatever was associated with your old life. Its probably quite healthy for lots of people to do that once in a while, but its extra evident when downsizing like this. She looks so joyful! ❤ Wishing her the best of luck with travels and future freedoms.
The homes on this channel are always so lovely - but watching the home owners make such delicious looking food makes me wish they included the recipes, lol!
Absolutely love this floor plan and the downstairs bedroom. The outdoor space is great. This is a beautiful home and may she have many happy years here.
Wow just wow! Stunning inside & out! Love the roominess without sacrificing the cozy feeling. Green is my favorite color, especially forest green, so I fell in love with this.

Dad and Mom as your neighbor!!! Wow fantastic

I love that she was “selfish” and built this just for herself. She made a beautiful and unique home.
Absolutely! Especially with a tiny house it's so important that you really build it to suit your own needs. Glad you liked the home!
I don’t think having a tiny house is a good example of person being selfish . 😂

Yes would be weird to build a house for someone elses needs 😋. No but totally agree that is important
As someone who doesn't like entertaining, I like that she was realistic about what she WANTED to do in her home (sit and read, not host!). She seems like she really knows herself.
It's so fun to see a tiny house that has vintage pieces and a period design instead of an all white box. More of this!
POV. I grew up in a colorful house, every room has its color, lots of vintage features.. Now when I see an ''all white box'' I feel peace and relief.

Love this❤. As a divorcee i truly love the 'cosy, snuggly, secure' vibe❣️
I love how this homeowner talks about her home. It absolutely belongs to her, not anyone else. She’s very secure in her taste, too. Love it!
