    • @julezvern
      @julezvern 7 лет назад +16

      FuShengAlex That's true, but not the entire unfolding of events. In 95, jordan had just come back and was extremely rusty. Houston was a western conference powerhouse from 93 to 98. From that span of years, the bulls made the finals 4 of the six years. Once Jordan reached the apex of his talents again after the first retirement, the Bulls had total supremacy of the NBA. They beat the Jazz and the Sonics. Those were two teams Houston could not get by in the western conference playoffs. In 94, Houston won, but jordan was retired. In 95, houston won but jordan played too few games during the season and was rusty. In 96, jordan was fully back in old form and the bulls went 72-10. Houston borrowed the throne for two years basically.

      Fyi, Michael Jordan or Scottie Pippen never lost in the finals either. They are both 6 for 6. Please get your facts right. & the only reason Robert Horry won all of those was because he was on teams with all of those superstars. He, himself was an average player. Horry wasn't even in the top three best players for any of the teams he played for. Most of the time he wasn't even a starter! I like Horry but he was average at best & never would've won if he wasn't lucky enough to be on teams with All-Stars. There's alot of average & less than average players who have rings whereas great players like Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Dominique Wilkins, Steve Nash & Alan Iverson all don't have any rings. But that doesn't mean a mediocre player like Horry is better than them or anywhere near as good! He made big shots at times but he was overall average. He was just an average player who lucked out by getting to be on teams with All-Stars. It's easy to get rings that way. Like how Steve Kerr has 5 while all time great players Karl Malone, John Stockton, Dikembe Motumbo & Charles Barkley have none. 🏀😞

      So they could've beat the Rockets with Jordan in 95 and yet they didn't?
      You're not making any sense. Houston beat the Magic with ease who beat Jordan's Bulls

      @@FuShengAlex yes the 95 Bulls beat the Rockets in the 95 finals where as the Rockets sweep Orlando.
      Orlando was the better team than both but they lacked competitive integrity which the Bulls and Rockets had plenty of. The Bulls would not have gotten swept by a 47-35 Rockets team. They were actually pretty evenly matched that season and 94. Orlando just choked and drowned in their moment

      @@alecsanderhamilton9224 Sigh. Chicago just choked and drowned in their moment too. They were up 102-94 in game 6 at home and got blown outta the water to lose the series.
      I don't see how a team loses in the 2nd round can claim they'd beat the eventual champions who swept the team that beat them. This just sounds like sour grapes
      They got abused by ex Bull Bull Grant all series long. There were the ones in fact that didnt matchup with either Houston or Orlando that year. No interior rebounding without a good PF.

      @@FuShengAlex Houston lacked a forward after the Thorpe trade as well. The Bulls lost to the Magic not the Rockets. The 95 Bulls and Rockets were evenly matched. Orlando was better than both teams, they just choked and drowned in their moment. The Bulls lost to the Magic but they took them 6 games without a power forward and were 19-9 w/ Jordan to finish the season including Orlando's 4-2 victory. The Rockets would not have had the same motivations or assets to beat the Bulls in the same fashion Orlando did. Orlando boasted both Grant and O'Neal and an extra motivated Grant. Houston would have had Olajuwon and Brown as they lacked a forward too.
      Sigh

      The Bulls choked at home too vs Orlando and you're only calling the Magic out for choking.
      The Rockets got swept by the Sonics in 96 in the 2nd round.....it wouldn't make any sense to claim they'd have beaten the Bulls that year given they lost in the 2nd round.

      The Rockets didn't have Thorpe at this point Chucky Brown/Mark Bryant was at the PF spot and Mario Elie who often was on the floor in the 4th quarter didn't play this game. The Bulls only started pulling away when Cassell had to guard Pippen towards the end of the game.

      @Ulysses432 Just refer to Vernon Maxwell's statements which are 100% truth. No need to mention that most of you “forget” that while Larry Bird was around Chicago could only dream participating in the finals. Of course I loved the Bad Boys too...

      Ulysses432 It is not all players that managed to play for many years at the top level. There are a few who reached that level only for a short term but for the ones who were fortunate enough to see them they were simply amazing. Mahmoud Abdul Rauf was another one. The rest of you can keep on watching and admiring Dennis fouling every single opponent with no real consequence. But never forget that basketball is an athlema and not a marketing promo activity (which currently is)...
