Creating your own linetype in Revit

I'm working MEP (Electrical) and I need to include text for wiring lines. REVIT-Wiring is connected to Electrical Panel information and I can't use linetypes like you're teaching in this video (if I'm wrong please advise). I'm including MANUALLY FOR EACH WIRE (its a nightmare task) the Pipe diameter (1" ENT) and Tick Marks text description (N 12 G ... means Neutral, Calbe #12, Gorund). My boss said that the only way to do this is MANUALLY ... it this correct ?? Please don't call my boss je,je,je,je.
