@@carlogarcia209This is not the entire band. The whole band is around 300 people. SC used to take the entire band to either Stanford or Cal each year, and to Notre Dame every other year. Now that SC’s in the Big Ten, the band won’t make the yearly Bay Area trip. They should bring the whole band to one conference road game each year. Good promotion for the school.
@@redletter2008 They instead will bring between 80-110 band members per game. I would rather have a consistent size pep band than the smaller bands they would send to WSU, OSU. They band is closer to 400 this year. With ND full band travel every other year, this gives more band members to travel to away games.
I was in the TMB from 2001 to 2006 … the way the travel worked was by class. We had our full band trips to the Bay Area, ND, UCLA and Bowl Games, then Sr Class would have dibs on the best away game, then the Junior Class, and sophomores. What ever was remaining was done on a volunteer basis with the appropriate instrumentation. the TMB is at every game, pretty cool tradition and as for the music, we had to memorize a ton of songs. The reason people think we play the same song over and over is because in the football games for a first down we play Fight On! For a defensive stop (not a 1st down) we play Tribute to Troy. Those two things happen a lot …but a Turnover has a song, a qb sac has a song, A TD we play Conquest. time out we play a “rock chart”, half time is usually a different show every game. So as a band member I can listen to the game and tell what’s going on just by what the band is playing.
Fight on! ✌🏾
2 of the very best college fight songs ever on display last Saturday. GO BLUE!!!!!
The band got way better.they used to play tribute to Troy way more but now most songs are played equally and all instruments sound absolutely amazing
So much better than they used to be
Smaller band this year? Or they only brought half the band?
