Fight Song Guy: College Marching and Pep Bands

I have traveled to numerous football games throughout the years. I have been to over 200 FBS college football stadiums and over 600 games. Passion is traveling to college football games and have seen almost all major rivialies. I also travel to basketball tournaments in March. I have been to every major conference, and now looks like all I have left are small basketball tournaments to go to. Sharing my experience on this channel for people who like the marching bands and pep bands.

I didn't record every time they played Chocker aka Dies Irae but this gives you an idea of how often it was played. You either love it or hate it but you def know it's an important play when you hear this.

Last game in Jacksonville for a couple of years. If you hear Rocky Top, Boomer Sooner, FSU War Chant, Tribute To Troy (USC), you can now add Choker to the list of if you don't love it you hate it. I lost count of how many times it was played. Always enjoy @UGARedcoatBand . Here is the University of Georgia Redcoat Band in the stands during the game.

Auburn brought half of the band for this game, around 190 band members. Every time they would try and play during a timeout they were drowned out to the blaring canned music from UK. It was so loud I couldn't hear what they were playing, and I was right next to them. It's shame that they don't let the bands play as often as they used to, and without blaring canned music.

The band wasn't mic'd for the Maryland game, don't worry, did you miss hearing Tribute To Troy and Fight On!? Well, I didn't record every time they played both songs, but darn well close. When or lose, you can always hear these two favorite tunes that opposing fans just hate to hear.

Three road game and three loses. The band is the one bright spot. Yes, the band does play more than just two songs. Don't get me wrong they play a ton of Tribute to Troy and Fight On! SECU Stadium has to be the worst in the B1G for stadiums, absolutely the worst, and I have been to all B1G stadiums.

The Greatest Marching Band in the History of the University, EVER. I couldn't record every time Tribute and Fight On were played but this gives people and idea. Just like Michigan game, Minnesota fans were not happy. This was the first time a visiting band traveled to their stadium in 5 years. The second road game ended just like the first B1G road game. Down to the final seconds, Minnesota scores to go ahead, SC throws an interception at the end of the game. The soundtrack of USC, the "Spirit of Troy", is one thing that is consistent. The Minnesota fans must not get a lot of visiting bands, when they heard Tribute To Troy, they like Michigan fans were not that happy.

Michigan fans were not happy hearing these two particular songs. I had to capture one Michigan guys reaction when Tribute was played, he got more angry throughout the game. The other guy nodding his head, gave up. I didn't even record all the times these were played but this gives you an idea, if you ever go to an SC football game, be prepared at home or on the road. The band doesn't stop.

everytime i hear this music and band it reminds me of being at a vols game in person this band was so nice and awesome i got to meet them at a ut game vs chattanooga in 2019 they were so nice and so kind they hve fun pre gme and half time shows go vols

Theres another song the band always plays while UGA is on defense. Usually after the other team gets a first down. Can u post that?
it's in the other video I posted of the Redcoat Band in the stands. Defense - opposing team 1st down, Go Dogs - opposing team 2nd down, Choker - opposing team 3rd down, Glory tag with UGA chant - opposing team 4th down.
