    We completely agree about living space, we have moved back to caravanning from motorhome and you are right about everything, only difference is car we tow with Audi Q7 which is a joy and the tow bar comes out electrically and returns electrically which really adds to ease of use, keep up the good work Jackie and Paul

    We had a MH for 7 years decided to get caravan back in 2021 & it's the best thing we ever did

    It is obviously personal choice. We had caravans for 33 years and then 5 years ago we bought a motorhome. Best thing we ever did. Arrive on site swivel cab seats plug in electric and that's it - so much easier. It also allowed us to sell our large tow car and buy an EV. I can use the MH as a second car or, as a day, van which was especially useful during covid. The thing we like is you are sitting on the cab seats which are much more comfortable then any of the side seats in a caravan. But it is whatever works for you.

    It's great to see mum and Dad come back from the dark side. Very interesting to hear how much you missed the bench seating in the caravan. I'm amazed about the Volvo I thought you loved that Kuga you had.

    Welcome back!!! - but for how long??? - The Cox family seem to chop & change like the wind!!! - same layout as our D4-4 - we love it for all the reasons that you say, especially the open plan-ness - looks much more spacious -even though we have the French bed, I still make up the bed at the front - only takes 2 mins with the Duvalay & built-in sheet - that way we both have oceans of space to spread out, but I also like to watch TV late at night while she likes to read, so it means we can both do our thing - as demonstrated in our previous vlog in Birkenhead.
    Young Mr Cox may be interested in our recent vlog on getting our seats restuffed!!!

      Yes I did see your video about the re-filling very good if I still had mine I would have had mine done. Unfortunately the Cox family love change etc we love having different layouts and vans cars etc I’ve got that gene for sure unfortunately!

      @@CaravanningwiththeCoxs I meant refilling your current caravan seats - you said they were getting uncomfortable.

    Great video. We stupidly bought a motorhome in2017. We realised very quickly that it was cramped apart from the bedroom space and sold it after a few months. Purchased a Bailey Unicorn Cabrera Black Edition a year ago, and have loved it from the start. It is perfect for us. Hope you enjoy your Black Edition as much as we enjoy ours!!

    We’re going over to the dark side next week. Many reasons but mainly because my husband doesn’t want to tow anymore and is struggling with setting up. We want to do a lot more travelling and I’m happy to drive whereas I wasn’t towing. We spent ages looking for the right layout and have stayed under 7 mts. Our Swift 640 has a very similar layout to a caravan with a drop down bed and loads of storage so fingers crossed it works for us. I can perfectly understand why you have reverted to the caravan though.

    Not seen full video yet but hubby and I have got our first caravan. At first it was between caravan and motorhome but agreed it’s just another vehicle to tax, insure and maintain and also it would depreciate so a caravan it was
    👍 btw …. The downside was - we had to change the car to tow it 😂

    Hi Folks, really informative video. Lovely caravan and equally very good tow car.
    One question please.
    You mentioned you found driving the motorhome could be stressful due to it's length and width.
    The caravan in itself is very long, add this to the tow car it's some length.
    How does that compare overall to driving a motorhone on its own..
    Is it ever equally as difficult or do you find it easier.
    Many thanks.

  • @morpheustorus232

    Narrow roads?? A caravan is as wide and longer with the car.. most change to caravan so they can drive when touring. Those Volvos are lovely though

    • @CaravanningwiththeCoxs
      @CaravanningwiththeCoxs  13 дней назад

      You mention narrow roads. You can plan your route to mostly avoid them with a caravan however in a motorhome if you want to drive to a location you have to take it with you. Each to their own I guess 👍🏻

    Great looking combo….. mmmh I’m also thinking about the Volvo 🤔 what’s the mpg like towing/ solo?

    • @stevecox8342
      @stevecox8342 14 дней назад +2

      Not the best because its the big petrol engine high BHP but means low economy. 25mpg on average

    • @CaravanningwiththeCoxs
      @CaravanningwiththeCoxs  13 дней назад +1

      As dad mentions not the best MPG however I did manage to achieve 40mpg in it on a long motorway run.
