I remember being in complete shock that day, I completely lost my shit and cried like a baby when I saw the Queen broke from tradition, and instructed the guard to play our National anthem that evening. That meant so much to so many.

As a US citizen I still remember the sorrow and anger I felt on 9/11 when we were attacked. It’s sad but there’s a whole new generation that don’t know. It wasn’t just the twin towers, but the pentagon and our hero’s that brought down the plane they were on in a Pennsylvania field. That plane, had it not been stopped, was headed to Washington DC, possibly to the White House. We must teach this to our children and never become complacent.🙏🏻🇺🇸

My husband is a Disabled Army Veteran that was in 27 years and did 7 tours to the Middle East. We will never forget what we were doing that day. I completely agree with the message in this song. Sadly, there are SO many that were either too young or not even born when this awful day happened. These are the ones that say we are wrong for fighting.

Wonderful reaction! I can remember every moment of that day...I was in my home office, my husband was supposed to be at the Pentagon that day, but he was caught in traffic, he was on the exit ramp at the Pentagon when it was hit. I was a crazy person until I heard from him, all the schools locked down and I couldn't get my children, I have never felt so helpless. I just sat there watching people die, others risking their lives to help and praying for every one and everything,

But we can’t give up and we have to keep going. The China threat is looming. Just as a side bar if you are looking for a good singer to react to there is the young Lady from the UK named Lucy Thomas the is starting to make waves around the world. The US Military machine is so feared and respected by the world, we were actually shocked how vulnerable we can be. And the entire world can be for that matter. China and Russia aren't the biggest threat, it's radical ideology that slips through the cracks. Regardless, Americans come together like no other nation regardless of politics.

I love this song. Some may have forgotten but we haven't here in NY. It's hard to explain how much our world changed. How many of my classmates suddenly stopped talking about our college plans and started talking to our military recruiters. It shaped how many of us older millennials view the world. We saw such incomprehensible tragedy but also such a coming together as a nation at one time. I was in highschool here in the Northern part of NY. We watched the news all day. Absolutely silent halls as we went through the motions of going to each class. Just to sit at our desks and question what was happening. No adults knew, all of us had friends and family in the City. The contrast of the little kids laughing and enjoying their day not knowing what had happened, to our quiet anger and confusion is so vivid even today. The school wanted to let parents tell the little kids. By the time school let out, our first responders were already on their way to help with clean up.

Darryl Worley lives close by and is an avid supporter of firefighters, to the point that he owns an antique tanker firetruck and would bring it to every fire in the area when he was home. He wore his turnout gear and only wanted to help. More than once he would buy the crew their meals at a local diner. He is a true American and an unbelievable talent.

I was around 4 years old and I remember hearing about it in class. One boy was telling us about it, and many of us were telling him to stop lying (for reference, he often acted like he knew a lot more than us because his dad was a cop). I still remember my teacher walking into the room and freezing when over a dozen 4-5-year-olds told her to make him stop lying about it and having to explain to us that it was true and what that meant to us. Can you imagine having to look several small children in the eyes who are asking you why someone would do that?

I was 11 when the towers fell. I still remember that day. Some people I talked to later said that their schools rolled TVs in so they could see it. I think it was more they weren’t trying to keep them in the dark. My school, was a private school from preschool to eighth grade so I think that’s why they decided to keep it quiet. I remember before lunch we used to watch a middle school news channel about world news and it wasn’t on. So all the rumors started flying during the lunch room. We finally made the teacher we had after lunch tell us what happened. I still remember her look as she tried to find the words. She was very brief and just said that there had been an attack. I honestly don’t really remember what she said, more just her face when she couldn’t hold it in anymore and struggle to figure out what to say. I remember coming home into the kitchen after school and my mom was crying. My aunt I was living in the city at the time. She could see the towers from her apartment. it feels like another life that this happen. And some thing you don’t think about as much, especially since I was so far away from where it actually occurred. I do remember when the song came out, and I remember all the arguments about the war. I just remember this song really sticking with me. it sometimes feels like people forget tragedy if it didn’t directly impact them. As an adult, I am learning more about the worlds response, and the support. It’s funny, I still remember the anger that would circulate around. But there was a lot of love and support to. Learning things that I didn’t know at the time, because I was too young, the things that show we are all connected and all humans in this world. Inspiring stories of heroism and humbling ones of kindness from complete strangers a world away. Anyways, I haven’t heard this song in decades, and it just brought a lot back. Thank you.

I know every word of this song, could write it down word for word, listening to it since the day it came out and I still cry like a baby. #Rememberthefallen #honorthefallen
