The terrible insult to your family, is also an assault on everyone who remembers your sacrifice and those of your family members that have passed and have sacrificed All for Our Country, I do not forget those who sacrifice nor those who are fighting today. We must be strong for for our Republic and Constitution, and all our allies who look to us, from around the world they were insulted as well. And pray for our fellow Americans that are stranded and have been abandoned, just as I remember 9/11 I remember this. And our allies of The Afghani people and all the innocent people that will be murdered because of imbecilic policies and garbage politics.

I was born the year after 9/11, but I'll always remember everyone who died in those towers, in that field in PA, and the Pentagon. As well as the soldiers who gave their life. Every year, the local FD has a candlelight event held on one of the major intersections and last year we had these two young girls, probably around my age, drive past us, and tried to turn 9/11 into an event that involved a certain group of people that were burning down buildings in the name of a certain man. (can't say the name of the group or that man, but I think a lot of you will know what I'm talking about.) That pissed me off that those two girls did that.

I sat there crying and pleading and praying the second Tower wouldn't fall too. I didn't know anyone that was affected but I never felt more connected to people around me then ever before. Lines morning to midnight taking blood to send to NY. It's something you feel deep inside, anger, hatred, confused etc. 20 years and those feelings haven't changed. For my cousin's memorial service Darryl was gracious enough to provide an unreleased song for the service. Beautiful tribute to my cousin Dana
The day this song is about, I had been out of the Navy 5 years. I can tell you where I was, what I was doing. About the fight I was in because of a self absorbed jack@$$. I was asleep after a night shift at the factory I worked at. My roommate slammed my door open and told me to wake the hell up because we were under attack. That whole next week, the factory closed and gave every employee a week paid vacation to spend with our loved ones.
As for how I felt, my emotions were a mix. Anger, sadness, shock, worry

My oldest brother, a Marine, who served TWO Tours in Vietnam, and was at home on Leave before he went back for his second tour, took our mom to the hospital when she went into labor with me (there was a blizzard and dad was literally stuck at work), not only made it home to us but, went to work (as a civilian) for The Pentagon. He was at work that day. My SIL told us that he managed to help a few people get out, then went in one more time.
Marines are Marines for life. My brother didn't die, he just got reassigned to Heaven.
The fact that this attack happened on 9/11, and in America the emergency phone number is 911, has always made me wonder if that DATE was chosen on purpose, as a quiet F You to us in America.
After all some, if not all of the terrorists who took over flying those planes got their flying lessons in South Florida,USA.
    I WILL NEVER FORGET.

@@jsemplefelton5348 LOVE your Scottish flag, mate! I'm second generation born in America of Scottish Immigrants.
My mother, maiden name Campbell, always had a wee bit of a burr, (and was literally "Made in Scotland" but, born in America) was raised in a fairly rural area amongst other Scottish children plus, "Fresh off the boat" parents. It had softened by the time I was born unless she was proper pissed or, RAGING, then Boom, the Paisley Burr was in full force. Lol.
My dad's family were Glaswegan but, since he was the first born in America, lived in a town with public schools, he never had an accent.
      God rest them both.
My mom was fond of saying (and you have to read this in Scottish),
Scottish men MAY be cheap bastars but, Scottish women are FRUGAL. Lmao!
And since I was the baby of the family and spent most of my growing up with mom, I've been known to slip into a soft burr.
Harder when I'm proper pissed or RAGING, lol!
Sorry about the rambling on. I don't always stick to the Scot's way of being able to use 7 words instead of 15 or 20, lol!
      Much Love, mate!😘💖👍😂😂😂💖

I still remember exactly where I was, how it felt, my son going to Iraq in the Gulf War and three deployments after to Kuwait and Afghanistan. His two brothers joined military as Marine and Army actives. No! We have NOT forgotten! But some in our government are guilty as charged!

I remember sitting in algebra class when my buddy Thomas came running down the hall screaming "they bombed New York!!!!" My teacher thought he was joking, she didn't even turn the tv on. I had family in the area at the time and several family and friends in the military. I didn't find out until after school let out that the ones I knew up there were safe. Lots of tears that day, both sad and relieved, and pissed off. I'll never forget.
