Shopping List:
Ricotta Mixture:
8 oz sour cream
8 oz whole fat ricotta
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 cup parmesan
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
AP Seasoning
red pepper flakes
1 egg
salt & black pepper
Seafood Blend:
4 oz lobster meat chopped (or bay scallops, crawfish, etc)
8 oz XL raw shrimp - peeled and deveined
1 lb lump or claw crab meat
2 tbsp butter (to cook shrimp)
Lemon bae
Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp better than bouillon lobster base
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken stock (you can use seafood stock if you don't have lobster base)
1 cup shredded parmesan
cajun seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Start by making your ricotta mixture. Mix all of the above ingredients in a mixing bowl and season to taste - set aside until needed later. Next, Prep your seafood (clean, peel, etc). You can use just crab and shrimp if you want or feel free to add whatever you prefer. I like to use crawfish or bay scallops in place of the lobster sometimes. Melt butter in pan and add all seafood except the crab meat. Partially cook your shrimp and lobster (or scallops/crawfish) and season lightly with cajun seasoning. Add to a large mixing bowl with crab meat and mix. Season to taste and set aside.
Next, start on your sauce by making a roux. Add butter and lobster base (optional). Once butter has melted, add flour and mix until it forms a paste consistency. Next, add in your stock and heavy cream. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Remove from heat and mix in your cheese a little at a time, being careful to ensure sauce is nice and smooth. Season to taste as needed.
Boil your water and add salt or lobster base to infuse flavor into the noodles. Boil lasagna noodles to package instructions. Once noodles are done, begin assembling your lasagna. First, add a thin layer of cream sauce and then noodles - then ricotta mixture - seafood - cheese - sauce - repeat. Repeat until your dish is full. I used a 13x9.5 inch dish that was 3 qts. Top with one last layer of seafood and cheese and bake for 30-40 minutes or until brown and bubbly. Remove from the oven and rest for at least 20-30 minutes before cutting into it.
Made this for Mother's Day and our 45th wedding anniversary which was also on Mother's day. The lasagna along with some Texas Toast and a green saldad. It was spectacular! Wife loved it! Now, it is RICH! You will be full after you finish!
Tried this, it was delicious!!! Went by the shopping list, but I did not see cheese on the list, I didn’t purchase any and realized it when I returned home. How can you make Lasagna without the cheese🤦🏽♀️…had to make a trip back to the store, but it was worth it. DELICIOUS!!!!

I did this once you have to let it set longer than 15 min, I remember making this and cutting it to fast and it wasn't set. This is so good 👍🏾

I made this for my family and friends a few weeks ago, OMG ITS THE BOMB!!!! Go get you some seafood and get on this!! YUM!! I have to look into Béchamel Sauce. I only heard of it one time other than this, but I was wondering if a red tomato based sauce would work with seafood Lasagna also.

Will be making this along with your lobster mashed potatoes. Love your mashed potatoes recipe. I remove veins and arteries from my chicken and most of the fat. Wash it in lemon juice. Veins carry the polluted blood away from the heart to the digestive tract for expulsion. Still why I will only eat shrimp when I clean it. Selective about whose chicken I eat. Okay I went too far with it.

Can you advise on where to buy or where we can get our lobster and crab 🦀? Shrimp is easy to pick up at Costco or your regular grocery store, but crab legs or claws and the crab? I have purchased can crab and it wasn’t good. Money is not the problem, it’s finding the good seafood. Please advise. Thank you 🙏 😊

You know there are a lot of inconsistencies when it comes to your video, ingredients list, and recipe? They don't match up with ingredients and measuments. For 1, you never explain how much white chedder to add or basil.

I got some to make your fish and grits recipe a few months back (insanely delicious btw). Tried to make the same recipe again the other day, this time the sauce had a fishy taste to it and the lobster base honestly smelled kinda funny.

This is a very odd recipe, normally the ricotta mixture is the American substitute for the more classic Italian bechemel. In this he decides to use the bechemel as the sauce.... I don't doubt how tasty it may be, but just an extremely odd choice.
Not only did I make this on New Years Eve, I made this again today! It is the best I've ever tasted! You are a genius in the kitchen. This dish will take you to a whole other level. I used RANA brand fresh lasagne sheets. They are so good, sns save you a step. Publix carries them. Thanks again. I'm a faithful subscriber!!!!
