    About a year ago I started designing a dueling tree target. I watched many videos and looked at pictures for ideas, and combined features I liked the best. Your video and design was one of the best and most helpful....yours and one other (a brit) particularly. I have finally just this week ordered the steel and will be picking it up today. 8 ar500 6" dia plates, on a 6' (2 meter?) 2.5" angle iron pole. I like your adjustment, but won't be going that fancy...using the other guys adjustment design. All disassemblable(?) so it can be transported in the trunk of my Saab 9-5 😁 haha, had to throw that in there for you (and I do have Swedish roots 👍) Excited to get this built finally. Now I have to find someone to weld it all...or I'm thinking of taking a hobby level welding class that is offered locally, and doing it myself. Have always wanted to learn to weld.
    Later I hope to build an A-frame stand for either end of the pole to mount it horizontal with plates hanging down as an option...
    I'm not very RUclips savy but hope to make a video of the design and build process and post on my Facebook eventually. I will try to post you a link or if I figure out how to post on RUclips I'll do that also... Cheers...thanks again for your great video...

      Could you share a link of the brit's design video? Have you built yours?
      If you have pictures online of the process, I'd love to see it.

    Amazing design! Is the angled front pice made of hardened ar500 steel, or mild soft steel?

    Is the adjustable bit only hanging on a hinge below or the one bolt? How much angle adjustment do you get? How many degrees are needed. Will it work from .22 to long range calibers? Maybe so markings for certain calibers to find the adjustments again would be cool. Thanks for sharing!

    Badass. How thick did u make the steel plates ? 3/8?

    • @helturflippad
      @helturflippad  5 лет назад +1

      Can honestly not remember, it was either 8, 10 or 12mm in Hardox or Armox (Like they use to mineproof humvees and such) Doing mostly pistol/revolver calibers mainly pure cast lead (alloys of course) those thicknesses are prolly overkill deluxe... :)
      Thanks for the nice feedback mate.

    Kanon grymma...du har möjligen inte ritningar på duellträdet och stjärnan ? Eller är det patentskyddat.

    • @helturflippad
      @helturflippad  7 лет назад +1

      Hej Jari, nej jag har tyvärr inte ritningar på grejerna och jag har inte kvar dem. Ett känt företag kontaktade mig bland annat den nya modellen av stjärnan och andra tekniska lösningar - de hanterar hela karusellen att söka patent. (puh) Så det är bara att hålla tummarna så kanske det kommer att finnas prisvärda plåtmål av en helt ny generation mycket snart (förhoppningsvis) Vi får se... Tack för din grymt snälla feedback Jari! :)

    Does it stick or stay on other side? I can't figure out how to build one where u shoot it and it goes to the other side and stay

    • @helturflippad
      @helturflippad  8 лет назад +2

      thats why the pole leans towards the shooters - the plates always falls out to their outer stops. (The impact only needs to push/travel the plates past the peak = straight back) Further the angle/amount of leaning is adjustable to compensate for the caliber/power factor (as in to prevent the plates to bounce/reach the opposite side to rash upon taking hits. My swenglish aint that great - but maybe that helps you with your questions and the general idea how these buggers work? :)
      If I can help in any way you just ask away mate!

    how tall is it

    • @helturflippad
      @helturflippad  7 лет назад

      200 centimeters and the length is mainly due to most shooting disciplines within revolver/pistol has the standardized 20cm plates here in Swedish rulebooks (just to keep us limited you know, haha)
