    I see trees that had a little hump on the tube where the the paddles have to hope over. Those will hold the paddles on either side without being able to just swing backwards and sit there not facing you. Other than that, strong built. Will follow this one with the addition of the hump.

    • @shootersoptiontargets
      @shootersoptiontargets  3 года назад +1

      preheat is a plus but most generally not a necessity. we run regular mig wire for non stress areas and a high nickel rod for areas if high stress content. hope that helps.

    • @Adamz678
      @Adamz678 3 года назад +3

      Too many variables and not a very good question to ask. Every machine is different, even if it's the same brand and model, personal technique will obviously different, you're gonna have to study and practice and then you'll get the answer you're looking for. Although I can give you some basic tips to get you going, you using a MIG(wire feed)?

    Why add the solid bar on the target. Why not cut the target in one piece. Is there a structural issue. Thanks

    • @shootersoptiontargets
      @shootersoptiontargets  Год назад +1

      No issues with it... it is just a smoother transition in the target itself. No sharp corners to hinder the target progress. The round bar is superior to a flat plate and round circle.

    • @bodiewest9202
      @bodiewest9202 3 года назад +2

      I wouldn’t. It will cost more, and my guess would be that your bearings would be a weak point because they aren’t designed to take the impact from shooting. If you already made it, let me know how it worked out, you have me curious now!
