The vehicles do not need larger battery packs. Rather, we need not DC fast charging infrastructure. No one complains about range on ICE or hybrid vehicles so long as it is fuel efficient.
My 2023 Volvo XC90 Recharge is fast. Put it in Polestar mode and it's really fast; 0-60 in way under 5 seconds. The electrical feature is an absolute joke though other than as a hybrid for high performance. In fact, all electric cars are a sad joke. Overpromised and underdelivered. Get the car for speed, not some illusory greenie weenie delusion.

Xc40 electric has just 220 mi range, it has to improve more
