I always use ply horns but I make them triangular so I have a wide base of contact. Sometimes I make them as long as to reach the trailing edge. Sometimes I use fibreglass or carbon fibre board but ply is fine for smaler models.
They're mostly Spektrum, nothing special. I think different receivers return different low voltage warnings, I think I've read on the RC Groups Radiomaster forum this can happen, you could ask on there. If I remember correctly they reduce the warning threshold 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes You will be pleased to know that on removing the back of the radio, the aerial was found to be disconnected from the output module, thank you for reply.
Absolutely beautiful 😍 Cant wait to see it in the air. Got out to fly yesterday evening. Only flew the Beaver foamy and my old faithful Tiger Moth...but good to get in the air again. Very cold though brrrr!
That's great Mike, I think we're just a little warmer in the South West but when the wind's in the North or East it's pop-up weather! 😁 I plan to dust off my Veron Moth as well soon 👍
it's looking nice cliff, I built a A6 Corsair navy jet , it's got similar construction to your hunter , mine also has seperate elevators , so I made up a fork wire shape to connect both elevates to the single servo , it flew well with just a 400 brushed motor with 8nimh cells , anyway good luck on the maiden, thanks cliff, from Tony from Bedfordshire
Looking really great! It will look awesome in the air. Don't forget to do some low slow passes ;) And maybe don't be too brave if it is windy. All the best!
Hats off, Cliff! What a wonderful and masterful job you've done with your Hunter. Just Brilliant!
Thanks Gina, amazing what a chunk of balsa and a lick of paint can turn out like 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I quite agree!
Great build Cliff, looking forward to maiden, no pressure !, sure it will fly wonderfully 😀 all the best.
Thanks Jeremy, pressure's all in the head 😁👍
She's looking really nice Cliff, Look forward to the maiden video.
Thanks Darren, this weekend👍
Looking good, Cliff!
Thanks Dave, cheers
Like i said us oldies know a good plane when we worked on em you got that down to a t nice one cliff crack on
Thanks Barry 👍
Looks great. Just the Maiden now. 🤞
Hi Stephen, well it's happened now, I'll post the results tomorrow 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I will keep my eye on it.
Fantastic job Cliff, I am sure she will fly like a bird in the sky. Hopefully calm winds Friday. 🫡
Thanks Chris, a big red bird 😁👍
Superb job Cliff! 😮
Thanks Bob 🙂👍
Looks great Cliff much better than the Habu 😊
I think so too Mark ... balsa rules 👍😁

That's a good idea, thanks for sharing, I also run ca into the hole after it's drilled to help to prevent wear, cheers
That looks great. Hope the maiden goes well...
Thanks Duncan, the maiden video will be viewable this weekend, cheers 👍
Amazing build Cliff. What is the weight difference between your Hawker Hunter and the OG Habu? Looking forward to the maiden. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, I don't know the weight difference but I suspect the Hunter is heavier what with the bigger battery for balance 🤔👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Don 🙂
👍👍👍
Thanks Robin 🙂
Cliff, how much she weights on flight conditions? (with battery)
Just over 1kg
looking realy good cliff...curious about what receivers do you generally use with your flash TX16s, ive got constant "low RF" call outs from mine

@@skrswift An easy fix, thanks for letting me know, cheers
Nice job Cliff. Look forward to the maiden!
Thanks Bob 👍
I think you made a fair job of that Cliff. I am very keen to see how this one performs.
Good luck and may the force be with you. ❤
Thanks Nick, the Force is always with me 🙂👍
Excellent finish on it Cliff. The tip on keeping filler over time was great.
It could have been much better but you live and learn, cheers Adam
I been waiting for this all week!! Looks stunning Cliff.
Glad you like it Joshua, thanks for waiting 🙂👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes cheers!!

Wonderful work, Cliff. It looks better than the molded kits.
Thanks, I guess it's because you can finish how you like 🤔👍
Nice to see that's finished. Really looking forward to seeing her fly, good luck with the maiden flight. Hopefully, it'll go well.
Thanks Tony, maiden video this weekend 🙂👍
Very nice job, I really enjoyed watching you build this jet. 👍 up my friend.

Thanks Tony, I could have soldered the elevator pushrods together but they seem to work well through the servo fitting, cheers 👍
Very nice build that Cliff, me thinks it's going to go like 💩 of a shovel 🤣👍
I think you're right Ian, cheers
