She's coming along in leaps and bounds now, Cliff! Your Brother did a magnificent job with the pilot figure, too. Love his little, waxed and turned-up moustache!
Cliff that 3D printer is going to be HANDY for you my friend! The details look great! Your brother did a fantastic job painting that pilot! It's looking great...getting close.
@@ModelAV8RChannel Thanks Adam, yes, I've already gone through one 1kg spool of filament. I do like making parts from scratch but there is a surprising amount of satisfaction in printing your own. Al's pilot will look good flying past 🙂👍
Looking really nice. The pilot is really a fantastic job. As usual your attention to detail is really inspiring. Sometimes I think I should not focus on the details as anyhow the models will crash within seconds, on the other hand, they do spend most of the time "decorating" our homes.
Actually, the scarf was not for the neck. They used it on their face (mouth and nose) to try to stop ingress of the oil used to help make the engines run: Castor oil!
Hi Chris - You know I'm building this Dancing Wing Sopwith Pup, and I'm not overly comfortable in balsa. Getting by so far but ..... what's the best method of painting this little thing that won't add a load of weight? Ideas on a postcard :)
@@Caroline_Tyler If I'd had a pound every time I was called Chris I'd be a rich man 😁 If you're not going to get it wet you could do as I did with my DW Tiger Moth and that was fat-nibbed felt tip pens straight onto the balsa. If you think it might get damp (and even if you don't) you could give it a light spray of clear matt lacquer. I didn't do a build video on the model but here's a short video with it just in the picture, cheers ruclips.net/video/raA2NJsgy2w/видео.html
@@Caroline_Tyler I always advise to test on a scrap piece of wood then you'll know for sure. As long as you don't go mad a little weight won't hurt although the more you put on the back will mean at least times four will be needed at the front, cheers
She's coming along slowly but very enjoyably, thanks for following along, one more video should do it 🙂

Thanks Gina, I think the pilot works as a circus juggler on the weekends 😁
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Or maybe, he can be a replacement for that Welsh opera singer in the "Go Compare" ads 😆
You are doing a magnificent job on that Fokker.. Your brother is as talented in painting as you are at modeling.. Unstoppable pair...
Thanks Will, if only I could get him interested in a 'real' hobby though!

She is really looking great can't wait to see her in the air.
Thanks Mark, not long to go now 🙂
Certainly coming together now Cliff. Live the way you used the cable. Your brother did an orsum job with the pilot. Great masterclass. 🫡
@@DadsRCHangar Thanks Chris, I'm really enjoying the restoration 🙂👍
Beautiful.
I like the colours they used on warbirds back then.
So many amazing schemes Stanko 🙂
Cliff the Fokker DVII is looking great, well done Sir. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, I'm really pleased how she's turning out, cheers 👍
Great Cliff. Your brother is talented; the pilot looks great. Looking forward to part 5. Watching from Budapest
Al's painted hundreds of the little figures so it's a nice change for him, an empty cockpit just doesn't look right to me 🙂
I really like the water slide decal on tissue idea! This could come in very handy on my little N11 build, thanks :)
Slide them onto doped tissue then seal them in with a thin coat of dope or clear lacquer, cheers 🙂
Good job Cliff.
Thanks David, nearly there now 🙂
Looking good Cliff.
Thanks Bob 👍

Thanks Andrew, the details are half the fun, do what gives you the most satisfaction that's what I say 🙂👍
I enjoy the video, love the Fokker thank you sir
Glad you enjoyed it, cheers
Nice build cliff, missed your posts over last week.
No worries Chris, thanks for watching, cheers

And try and tie it a little higher Gudjon, I think they used it to wipe their goggles as well, cheers
It's really looking great, especially the pilot. What was that spray that you used after you'd glued in the pilot's seat?
Thanks Tony, it's Activator spray to cure ca rapidly 👍
With the way you have hinged the ailerons , are they able to move downwards , or just from the flat position and upwards ? Its coming along nicely .
I had to top hinge them because the original builder had cut an angle allowing them to drop, so yes, no problem going down, cheers 👍
