Normally I love and prefer golden endings but I feel like one here would cheapen this. It's so emotionally effective because you can't magically broker peace.
And you can’t do anything about it as Byleth because you can’t be the magic problem solver for both Edelgard and Dmitri. With the game forcing you to choose sides and leaving one on the losing side (Claude is more or less fine no matter what you choose unless you want to kill him...) there can’t be a “everyone wins” ending. Makes me think dang hard about which path I like best.
I think the endings serve their purpose to the story, regardless of if there was something like Revelation. I don't think everyone's problems should be solved just like that and be all buddy buddy against some enemy that only appeared 9/10 of the way into the story

Claude and Edelgard's goal is actually very similar that he notes of it on the Golden Deer Route. The only difference of course is Edelgard has a more problematic approach to reaching her goal. But Edelgard didn't have the luxury of time like Claude who tends to use Diplomacy to persuade the world to change and unite them. Edelgard's life was short, so much that it's possibly one of the factors that lead her to go with war instead as it would have took less time. Not saying what she did was right though, good intentions doesn't matter unless you do good.
The big difference is that Claude actually goes out and finishes their work by fighting against the SLITHERMEN. I can't believe they made a huge kerfuffle and her route was soft-locked behind a dialogue choice... and then she never fights them. I JUST . . .

I think in her ending it states that she goes after them next but for some reason we don't see it or play that chapter like Claude's Route. I feel like they're gonna expand it in a DLC since out if the four ending hers seems like theirs a continuation, which kinda sucks because you may need to pay to get her full ending. This is gonna sound sappy and all- !!!!!MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!! But Three Houses is a game that made me experience so many different emotions. Whether it was frustration with Cathrine and Ashe’s backstory, wanting to sucker punch Gilbert/Gustave a million times, seeing Ignatz’s, Felix’s, Dorthea’s, Sylvain’s, Dedue’s, Marianne’s, and Bernie’s development (and definitely crying a bunch of times), Dimitri‘s healing and development, Byleth learning how to show their emotions clearly, Flayn knowing more about her world around her, and last but not least, Jeralt’s death. When that happened, I felt so much pain because I lost my father and I understand Byleth’s pain of realizing acting the way you have in the past hurt someone, so you must change for the better and for your own future. Dimitri’s my favorite character in the series- originally, I was going to go for Golden Deer- but there was something about “I sense darkness behind his composure” or whatever- that drew me to him- and I’m glad it did. This game shows so much pain and it shows war from all different perspectives. When we have a war, we often believe the side we support is the right one.. but sometimes, the other side needs to be known too.

I feel like at the end of the game, you should be able to go to the momentary one more time, and when you talk to the students, they each disappear going on to whatever journey they’re going to do next. I think that would make the game even more bittersweet

CharlieRashi gd and church route are basically identical and blue lions is different and explores dimitri and edlegard’s dynamic. I’m doing new game plus gd run at the moment. I hate new game+ because it makes me want to ignore the golden deer characters and just recrut my old characters by using a b support.

My first playthrough was blue lions. After I found out this was Edelgard’s point of view and looked at the lyrics it hit so much harder and made me glad I chose blue lions first.
My first was black eagles and this makes it nigh impossible for me to play blue lions, even struggling with verdant wind right now, dreading having to see what the post timeskip offers
I love Edelgard as well. I mean, she may be a bit of a traitor, but she has good intentions. And the way Dimitri acts towards her afterward in Blue Lions route.... well. I couldn't help but feel sorry... I've only looked up the other two routes, but I've began to play Black Eagles. When Rhea ordered Edelgard to be killed, I chose to protect her. I couldn't even think before choosing it. I just did it by first instinct. Then I branched my saves off, and sided with Rhea instead on the second branch of my saves. I knew I'd made the right choice the first time, because I couldn't go and kill Edelgard. In other words, Edelgard is a cinnamon roll.
My goodness, next year will be the fifth year anniversary for Fire Emblem Three Houses and I still remember just starting to play the game like it was yesterday. Will all the voice cast have a 5 year reunion at the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery for the millennium anniversary?
Crazy that 5 years have past since this game came out, almost like a timeskip :P In all seriousness, I had just finished my senior in high school when this game came out and now I’m out of college and in the workforce. Crazy how much can change in 5 years. I love Three Houses so much.
Golden deer is better, they have the true eye-candy that is Lorenz. I mean sure you could recruit him, but why would you spend a single moment without him there. Oh uh and I guess there’s others too.
Bro, Blue Lions have the bests characters and the best storyline. Dimitri may look not that appealing but his story is so tragic that I cant feel bad for him.
She basically explains a curse thrown on her familly making them evil a little bit emblema's cursed blood in FEH because ill let you see what happens later in Three Houses its a good story on its own right.
On my first playtrough I wanted to go for the Crimson Flower ending but I didn´t know that I needed to go to Enbarr with Edelgard so I accidentally ended up with Silver Snow, which I think is the most boring ending but technically is the best one since you only kill Edelgard and Hubert (And Ashe if you don´t recruit him or avoid him during battle). I´m now playing the Blue Lion route and eventually will play the Golden Deer, so Crimson Flower will be the last.

It gets the full version of the seasons of warfare one, and as said already remixes. The full English one has been around on RUclips, but taken down by Nintendo. Glad we got the full version in Smash and not the shortened one.

Aelfric is the Narrator for Cindered Shadows and is credited as “Narrator” in the same area as all the dlc additions. The main game narrator is Jeralt’s VA as you suspected previously
@@migzrub7114 The singer goes by the alias "buttercup" but no one knows who she is. Her voice sounds similar to Edelgard's va though so maybe that was the reason behind the singer choice for this song
This makes u think that they couldve done the DLC much better. Not that i didnt like Cindered Shadows but i just think that they held back. They couldve made a route that takes place after ending of fhe other routes where Byleth knows the whole story and explains everything to their students. That would've been my ideal DLC
People say most of the problems could be avoided very easily and that everything edelgard did was unnecessary but thats what its so good about this story, like in real life there is many many tragedies that could be also be easily avoided but humans are always blinded by hate so they prefer to make wars instead of find any other option.
When you try to destroy the system that caused near every character's problems but everyone hates you and Stans the guy who doesn't do shit, even failing to actually kill the main enemy of the story.

Yeah I mean she was willing to off anyone with little to no objective evidence or emotion to the innocents she ruined the lives of At least Dimitri ended up the way he did due to the mental pressure and regret he felt but still found the light in the darkness thanks to the other Lins And Claude (Arguably the most heroic of the 3) with a heavy heart fought so the innocent people could live and he could see his dream of a WORLD not a FODLAN without discrimination and while he regretted the lives lost he was simultaneously the realistic thinker and the one with the loftiest ideals In short Edelgard could have taken other ways to improve FODLAN but didn't out of anger while D and C were good people caught in a crossfire
@@jayguthrie262 ***SPOILERS*** except in CF she was willing to spare people, as seen by Claude and her offer to the church to just surrender and their lives would be spared. She also mourns the death of Dimitri in that route. She isn't terrible, just doing what she saw as right; whether it was or wasn't is highly subjective. I still think Verdant Wind had the best leader, ending, and ideals; but Crimson Flower's Edelgard wasn't a bad person... infact she wasn't a bad person in any of the routes, it was all just a matter of perspective.

It's just a matter of how you look at it. 😊 I mean lets be real, the church of serios wasn't exactly good either. I feel if you were taken into the Empire rather than at the Monestary you'd probably side more with Edelgard. About the Claude thing, the issue is that she doesn't demand his death and it doesn't force you to take his life. Sure it's the prof. Who spares him but ultimately, as Emperor she could order him dead and you would have to put him down or she could turn on you. Yes, offering the church of seiros individuals their lives if they surrender to forgo anymore bloodshed is honorable and redeeming in and of itself. Most would seek slaughter, she saught revolution, which didn't require their deaths. It was their choice to keep fighting. I'm not saying what she did was right or wrong, what I'm saying is what she did was understandable given her history and it doesn't make her a bad person, and she was willing to spare lives (be it directly or indirectly) rather than slaughter the opposition. NOT TO MENTION the fact that she mourned the death of Dimitri shows she still had humanity through it all, rather than being cold and heartless. The game isn't black and white, the church of serios isn't good by any stretch of the imagination, and Edelgard is not evil. It's all moral grey.

My first playthrough was blue lions. After I found out this was Edelgard’s point of view and looked at the lyrics it hit so much harder and made me glad I chose blue lions first.

I love Edelgard as well. I mean, she may be a bit of a traitor, but she has good intentions. And the way Dimitri acts towards her afterward in Blue Lions route.... well. I couldn't help but feel sorry... I've only looked up the other two routes, but I've began to play Black Eagles. When Rhea ordered Edelgard to be killed, I chose to protect her. I couldn't even think before choosing it. I just did it by first instinct. Then I branched my saves off, and sided with Rhea instead on the second branch of my saves. I knew I'd made the right choice the first time, because I couldn't go and kill Edelgard. In other words, Edelgard is a cinnamon roll.

My goodness, next year will be the fifth year anniversary for Fire Emblem Three Houses and I still remember just starting to play the game like it was yesterday. Will all the voice cast have a 5 year reunion at the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery for the millennium anniversary?
Crazy that 5 years have past since this game came out, almost like a timeskip :P In all seriousness, I had just finished my senior in high school when this game came out and now I’m out of college and in the workforce. Crazy how much can change in 5 years. I love Three Houses so much.

Golden deer is better, they have the true eye-candy that is Lorenz. I mean sure you could recruit him, but why would you spend a single moment without him there. Oh uh and I guess there’s others too.

She basically explains a curse thrown on her familly making them evil a little bit emblema's cursed blood in FEH because ill let you see what happens later in Three Houses its a good story on its own right.
This is literally the ending of BL made into a song.
On my first playtrough I wanted to go for the Crimson Flower ending but I didn´t know that I needed to go to Enbarr with Edelgard so I accidentally ended up with Silver Snow, which I think is the most boring ending but technically is the best one since you only kill Edelgard and Hubert (And Ashe if you don´t recruit him or avoid him during battle). I´m now playing the Blue Lion route and eventually will play the Golden Deer, so Crimson Flower will be the last.
Silver snow is just a watered down version of verdant wind it kind of feels like the route was an afterthought.

This makes u think that they couldve done the DLC much better. Not that i didnt like Cindered Shadows but i just think that they held back. They couldve made a route that takes place after ending of fhe other routes where Byleth knows the whole story and explains everything to their students. That would've been my ideal DLC

At least Dimitri ended up the way he did due to the mental pressure and regret he felt but still found the light in the darkness thanks to the other Lins
And Claude (Arguably the most heroic of the 3) with a heavy heart fought so the innocent people could live and he could see his dream of a WORLD not a FODLAN without discrimination and while he regretted the lives lost he was simultaneously the realistic thinker and the one with the loftiest ideals
In short Edelgard could have taken other ways to improve FODLAN but didn't out of anger while D and C were good people caught in a crossfire
@@jayguthrie262 ***SPOILERS*** except in CF she was willing to spare people, as seen by Claude and her offer to the church to just surrender and their lives would be spared. She also mourns the death of Dimitri in that route. She isn't terrible, just doing what she saw as right; whether it was or wasn't is highly subjective.
I still think Verdant Wind had the best leader, ending, and ideals; but Crimson Flower's Edelgard wasn't a bad person... infact she wasn't a bad person in any of the routes, it was all just a matter of perspective.

It's just a matter of how you look at it. 😊 I mean lets be real, the church of serios wasn't exactly good either. I feel if you were taken into the Empire rather than at the Monestary you'd probably side more with Edelgard.
About the Claude thing, the issue is that she doesn't demand his death and it doesn't force you to take his life. Sure it's the prof. Who spares him but ultimately, as Emperor she could order him dead and you would have to put him down or she could turn on you.
Yes, offering the church of seiros individuals their lives if they surrender to forgo anymore bloodshed is honorable and redeeming in and of itself. Most would seek slaughter, she saught revolution, which didn't require their deaths. It was their choice to keep fighting.
I'm not saying what she did was right or wrong, what I'm saying is what she did was understandable given her history and it doesn't make her a bad person, and she was willing to spare lives (be it directly or indirectly) rather than slaughter the opposition. NOT TO MENTION the fact that she mourned the death of Dimitri shows she still had humanity through it all, rather than being cold and heartless.
The game isn't black and white, the church of serios isn't good by any stretch of the imagination, and Edelgard is not evil. It's all moral grey.
