    The solution should be fewer dangerous guns on the streets, & more stringent regulations for procurement! But metal detectors is better than NOTHING!! Are they planning to have these things at the Schools too?!

    At the same time they are testing out weapon detectors they are cutting support staff.
    We're normalizing security theater when it's clear that is an expensive and ineffective way of dealing with with children having access to guns but no access to adults who are available to listen and care about their concerns.

    In the south since the Strat of the 2010's in events at places is common to have security patting down & hand held metal detectors, & this is here the new normal.
