Thanks for posting, when I found this band, I was blown away and am dying to see them live. Can't wait to see what Christian Muenzner brings to SoP with the new album. He is an amazing guitarist so nothing short of mind blowing, I'm sure : )
Interesting how different those songs sound with just one guitar. Another example of this is the Deeds Of Flesh - Portals To Canaan demo that's somewhere on RUclips.
Dennis did drums and vocals for the first two records. For Incurso, Dennis only did vocals (he said in interviews that he felt like he was trying too hard) and drums were played by a guy named Henrik Schönström.
ocdy1001 yes I have heard your band before and you guys are awesome Tech Death, keep up the good work! Im a bass player and you guys have awesome talent and an awesome bassist as well
I know it's been 6 years, but... you're in luck. Check Benjamin Carper's on RUclips.. He has great sounding instrumentals of all SoP albums. I think only one song is missing (he explains why it's not there).
Because he's not playing better than dennis! he's just playing dennis's parts. you can only judge him once he is playing his own material and then compare HIS material to DENNIS's material. Otherwise it's like me playing a SoP song on guitar flawlessly and then saying that I am as good as if not better than Jonas Bryssling.
@MathijsGrindBrigade Actually I shouldn't have said that because the only source I read that from is Encyclopedia Metallum/Metal Archives. Apparently Schill is now an ex member and has been replaced by Henrik Schönström, which if true sucks because Schill is incredible.
This sounds great to me, I demand liveshows in sweden! Mindblowing live preformances as usual with SoP. And why has comment turned in to a piss contest of who is the best drummer? the whole schill/röndum discussion is just silly, stop it! =p
Well schill being better or not doesn't matter. as long as he can uphold the songs and this means that they are coming back to play live shows im happy. I have been dying to see them. but with jonas doing lead im wondering whats going to happen. he has to come back. his solos are insanely intense. all his parts are intense. i don't think anyone can match his style
Haha, I've watched this video so often, and only just now did I notice that Schill is actually playing the Joey Jordison kit from Pearl. Still, bad ass drumming.
Good God.. so damn fast and still so clean l!!! And the effectiveness in composition, they thought hard about the flow of the songs, not just being flashy for no reaaon. I actually saw muenzer say o his IG that retromorphosis is getting rway yo drop something(incurso lineup w/ a different drummer
i know you werent saying that dennis was bad. But i gave you a thumbs down because there is absolutely no way that you could come to that conclusion from watching this video. unless you've seen/heard other stuff that richard schill has done
@@alk3603 I think they just recorded it and toured it..everything is written by the guitar player and maybe erlend, the bass player helped him with something; i don't know who played drums in incurso, but the till that moment drummer(not this one,a viking) is the singer...maybe he played also drums...incredible
@@andre_serra17 I researched it. Some guy named Henrik Schönström played the drums for this album.. But still... I'd record something as awesome as tracking the drums for that fast ass album.. Same with Scorched. There isn't a single video of Rondum playing that song. I wish there were, but the closest thing we have to that is Rondum playing Church of Deviance live. That song was originally 290 bpm, but he sped it up to about 300 something bpm
@@alk3603 yeah rondum is a beast both as drummer and singer...there are some live videos of them while touring cabinet I think, they are killers..he's a killer
@@andre_serra17 absolutely. One critique, one that doesn't alter the viciousness of the band, their earlier albums didn't have a lot of fast double bass runs. Too little for tech death, in my opinion
amazing talented musician
The man that covered Spawn on a Banjo!
Wils to see you here!
Play Rain!
Lmao
Damn this is the most youtuber-graveyarded comment I have ever seen
Great footage, we miss Spawn of Possession
So sad they aren’t a band anymore😭😭their approach to songwriting was truly a milestone for death metal and music in general
@@kimjongil9840 jonas is writing new music with dennis
@@theabsenceofi31 and as of last year the full album is complete and close to being released
New album! Fantastic news
Still listening in 2022 & still sounds great.
This is pure gold... How I miss your music guys!!!
hes 100% calm just drumming like a god you know... no sweat.
he clearly makes some of the most technical drumming ever look effortless
My favorite band of the 2000 era !!!!!!!!!!hail spawn of possession

So… how did you like Incurso? 😎
His picking technique is so clean.. So economical, he hardly moves his hand
2:02
just fantastic!!!!! Love this band
thanks for uploading this!!
I've watched this video about 20 times and it always kicks my ass!!
@Jorvas25 The song is "Swarm of the Formless" from the Cabinet album
his hands flutter like a hummingbird during the blasts, looks awesome. super quick!
pure sonic bliss
This video is so amazing, instant favorite
Nice one..
waiting for new album!!
Interesting how different those songs sound with just one guitar. Another example of this is the Deeds Of Flesh - Portals To Canaan demo that's somewhere on RUclips.
If you listen to the studio-recordings and Have an ear for details you will notice a lot of things that makes this band to one of the greatest!
superb !!
AMAZING!!
Awesome.
you are Great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
SoP defenitly on my top 5 of all time thus far keep it good guys dont sell out
4:12 I like the little head shake as he vibes to the riff.
Jonas! This looks really good!
Fucking stoked for the new album. Line up is amazing, nothing can possibly go wrong.
effortless blasts
to bad you only showed the drummer's abilities, the guitarrist's skills are brutal!
would love to see the drummer playing scorched xD
@SkollDrum probably ^^ hope he does the drums on the new album!
I wish I could play like this guy !!
Practice
@PudWud1
a 5150, yes. couldn't tell you whether it's the i or ii though
wow this is fucking amazing, song structure and drums. thats one tight rehersal!
🔥🔥🔥
goddamn this is so badass.
Listening to this, it's easy to forget that there are three more instruments in the band.
holy fucking shit! this is way beyond human levels... i did never saw them like this
great video! :)
this guy's just chillin
God damn...I could put his kit in a dryer and he'd still be able to count its time signature.
If only all of SOP was voicesless, I'd listen to it 24/7. Unreal musianship
Windsor Hops hahaha i know their vocalist just bland ....but nevertheless incredible shit
Isaac Zaladar bland? Hes the fastest Death Metal vocalist in the entire genre? He makes Corpsegrinder sound slow and has great range
ocdy1001 yes I have heard your band before and you guys are awesome Tech Death, keep up the good work! Im a bass player and you guys have awesome talent and an awesome bassist as well
@@svennerick I'm aware of this already. Been listening to SOP way before Archspire came out. I actually made the same point in another video

I hate this band is no more. They had there own unique sound within the Tech Death genre. Everyone in the band extremely skilled musicians.
Don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it happened in the first place!
this camera man is pretty biased
i take that back. i just read Christian Muenzer is joining them. sounds insanely sick
NEW GIGS ANNOUNCED!!!!!
I hope like hell there will be a US tour
*cough* Atlanta

ha, the window full of shoes is awesome.
3:24 Lash by Lash!!!!!!
@SkollDrum I bet a that a lot of other drummers then Röndum can play Scorched.

Fucking awesome band.
sick ass drummer. what's up with the shoes on the windows?
maybe u can get a video like this of jonas next time?
holy shit balls this band is sick.
@MathijsGrindBrigade I dont think thats the joey jordison kit, the JJ kit has black hardware right?
Shiiit! It's fucking good! Tell me the distortion of guitar... thanks!
speeeeeeed
Why isn't Richard Schill endorsed?
@desolateroom Schill is gone ?
can i get a hell yess?

And why has comment turned in to a piss contest of who is the best drummer? the whole schill/röndum discussion is just silly, stop it! =p
The answer lies in another question: how can anyone refuse to play with maestro Bryssling?
dont think he wont come again but a least we will have christian muenzer solo :P
Well schill being better or not doesn't matter. as long as he can uphold the songs and this means that they are coming back to play live shows im happy. Where's the bassist?
I would give my soul to satan to be able to play guitar like that..
If you woke up the next day after that comment with ridiculous speed and dexterity on the guitar, I bet you'd be a little worried haha
+Smiae A year later and I can play Dead And Grotesque and bits of Scorched... I think this is a success?
James Moran Ask the horned one. Somewhere in the fiery pits he awaits your end of the bargain ;)
@JACOB MISKO did you get there?
My man covering some Defeated Sanity now! Fucking amazing progress mate! Although I still find SOP more difficult than DS haha
Anyone know the tuning ?
what chinas are he using??
Haha, I've watched this video so often, and only just now did I notice that Schill is actually playing the Joey Jordison kit from Pearl. Still, bad ass drumming.
SoP is the fucking greatest band ever !!! Hälsningar ifrån Borensberg/Östergötland !
ahead of his times he was.
Thanks Yoda
@yakobu91 Don't know, but I thought I saw the slipknot thing on the bassdrum.
Cool as fuck . Is he reading new paper or playing drums makes it look so easy wicked stuff
As much as i love Muenzer joining the band, I would love for Karlsson to come back and have the old band together.
What do you mean by doubles? double pedals?
Oh, I do that to. Why would there be shame in that anyway? It's the best technique for reaching a fast pace.
dogs?
the guitarist is actually playing during this video dood lol 2:00
This is the only actual VIDEO of dead and grotesque I've been able to find
Definitely a very smooth drummer. Can't wait to hear new shit.
WHERE'S CHALKY?!?! hahaha
Hope you guys are wearing ear protection, much love

This drummer will surely have a name in the tech death scene soon. :P
10 years gone
Matt Damon is fuckin’ killing it!
How high were you when you typed that comment lol
@BTeeper fucking right
Fuck they dropped MIchael Chalk and now they dropped Richard Schill. Oh well, as long as their new drummer pwns, because I know Dennis' vocals will.
Father Dorian
I would have loved to see The Evangelist on drums. I can't find playing of any Incurso song anywhere except a couple

he almost yawned
Or "The Evangelist". OMG!
@Fritzkefit Only Rondum can play scorched, only rondum
how could you possibly judge that he's better than dennis rondum, when hes only playing dennis rondum's material?
You can see he is using doubles on the bass drum. No shame in that, I believe its the only way to play 270+ unless you are george kollias
Bryssling is god
Musical experience maybe? He's into playing Death Metal after all, so his priorities aren't going to constantly lie in money and endorsements.
Can't we all at least agree on one thing? BE THANKFUL THEY HAVE A SICK NEW DRUMMER AND WILL BE RELEASING NEW MATERIAL.
