Holy shit, why have I never heard this version? Anyway, this song is killer from start to finish. It's really hard to pull off the "many songs in one" feel, but they just nail it here. I especially love the fast tapping at 00:58 and how one great solo just leads into ANOTHER great solo.

Interesting how different those songs sound with just one guitar. Another example of this is the Deeds Of Flesh - Portals To Canaan demo that's somewhere on RUclips.

I hate this band is no more. They had there own unique sound within the Tech Death genre. Everyone in the band extremely skilled musicians.

Like what karlravioli said, there was a "Demo Thing" video for the next Spawn album before it got cancelled, and now that video is gone. I really want to hear it again, as it was easily one of the most melodic and musically mature things I've heard from Jonas. Here's to hoping he reuploads it or it makes its way onto this new album.
I too seek the same video. It was everything that was great about Apparition but with a more raw vibe (aside from just the production).

YES! Thank you! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who misses it! I've had it in my head ever since I heard it, but I can't replicate more than a couple notes of the main theme in it and, because it's removed, I can't listen to it for real. I really hope it turns into a song for this album or EP or whatever.

I'll be counting on you to let me know if it turns out to be one of the songs off this upcoming EP ;) Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the song online. @@franzhauserl that was the last song I wrote for sop, I have another one which I never finished, that one is way more intense. After that I went on to write other stuff. Really not into playing "tech" all the time.
