This story comes from what my family members told me because I have no memory of this at all which is strange because I can remember snippets as young as 4 years old I remember the first day of kindergarten (I was grandfathered in my birthday is Dec 4 so I was allowed to start at the age of 4) it was a very traumatic experience I just remembered holding on to my mom crying I didn't want to go. But I do not remember the story of how I was almost taken from a skating rink when I was 8. Story goes I was with my older cousin she was 12 she saw me walking out with a man and she got to me and asked wtf I told her he had puppies in his car he asked her if she wanted to come also she said no grabbed me and went to an adult a few adults went out but the man was gone. Week or so later we were at my aunt's house the adults were watching the news when they showed a picture of a man they had in custody that they believed had committed some killings that were going on in the area and supposedly like I said I don't remember any of this I looked at the TV and I told my cousin I said hey look it's the man with the puppies and the mugshot on the TV was the mugshot of the serial killer Gerald Stano. The skating rink was in Ormond Beach Florida the same town that Stano moved to with his parents sometime in the 70s. To this day my family says that's how the story went if it was him or just another killer in that area between Ormond, Daytona all those towns in the area have had their share of some serial killers come through It could have been him It could have been someone else still a scary story and I thank God My cousin kept an eye on me because my dumb little ass was going to walk out the door with a man who very well could have been a serial killer and I would have never been seen again.

"Did you know..." I have always been an avid reader concerning serial killers, because I wanted to know if it was nurture or nature. My son, Michael, worked for the sheriff's department for over 25 years. He was attending a serial killer identification seminar when the instructor asked them could they name the serial killers in the pictures. My son raised his hand and said, "No, but my mother does." I lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for 14 months during 2005 when there were 3 active serial killers on the loose.

Ted may have been jealous, but the main reason he offered to “advise” on the case - he was trying to convince the Behavioural Science Unit of the FBI to take him on as an official Consultant and in so doing, sparing his life. He would have still been imprisoned, but he’d escape the Electric Chair plus it would have played to this massive ego. Ultimately, theFeds decided against it.

America NEEDS A CCTV COORDINATED SYSTEM! We have such a high crime rate, yet we have a prehistoric way of operating compared to England or NZ, Etc. I'm honestly shocked that we haven't invested in this. The fact our professional investigators rely on "hoping random ring doorbell cameras or something like that will be around" is ridiculous. They have to individually go to each business, House, Etc. And individually work on acquiring the surveillance footage. There is a lot of factors to this that can hinder a investigation, or the quality of the evidence, or being able to obtain the evidence at all. I hope we invest in a CCTV coordinated system soon. It could really improve how much we can at least find clues and leads in cases and crimes... We could work on this project state by state to make it less overwhelming then eventually connect them together as a well working organized system. Modern HD cameras are very affordable and I really think it's a totally achievable goal. It's well worth the investment, it will greatly improve our nation and our societies quality of life.
