    Drew Peterson and his wife lived just one mile away from me when this crime occurred. I still live in Bolingbrook and let me tell you, this was so crazy to live so close to such a huge case. The news crews swarmed his house day and night. Stacy’s missing posters were on every store front. The sound of helicopters flying overhead was so eerie the first week she went missing because I knew they were looking for her. I saw police dragging ponds nearby. I even saw Drew on his motorcycle one day. It was all everyone talked about and every body of water I would drive by I would look at wondering if she was there. It was such an unbelievable experience. I just wish they would have found her after all this time.

      Sadly there seem to be a certain type of personality with those kinds of need to control, that find their outlet in the police force. My friend's neighbor was a cop and often witnessed this cop husband being very controlling of his wife. The wife would take pictures of the yard after she had completely removed all the snow after a day where my friend witnessed the husband dragging the wife out to the newly snow covered yard yelling at her about how lazy she was. Obviously she somehow failed in keeping Mother Nature from snowing all over his precious lawn again. *eye roll*

I was in an abusive marriage for many years with a narcissist who was very controlling so I feel for those women & praying they find Stacy's body soon so her family can find closure! But if it was in a storage container it shouldn't be THAT hard to find, you'd 🤔 think!

      Like you I was in a abusive marriage(still legally married to him but divorcing this year) my ex mentally, physically, emotionally & s3gsually(my son was a result) abused me. When our marriage ended in January 2020 a lot came to the surface I've had intense therapy to overcome my trauma. I'll live with what I went through & spent 2yrs single working on myself & I'm happy surrounded by my loved ones & have the greatest boyfriend who's been extremely supportive & treats me like a queen. I'm glad you're out of your marriage I wish you all the best.

    Hi Chris. Chris I really don't know how to articulate my absolute disgust with law enforcement. I know I have commented that several times on your Channel already. But this one takes the cake. All his buddies all of his police buddies sticking up for him giving him a break, it's just too much way too much to fathom. Calling it a drowning and there's no water. Why was this guy only given after years of no investigation on any level for any of the women, why was he finally only given 40 something years? That's just absolute disgust. Why wasn't he getting life in prison without the possibility of parole. And then they finally did a little more investigation and he ended up with a longer sentence. It's just so disgusting and so difficult to realize that there is nothing absolutely nothing we can do to change the way law enforcement and authorities handle cases. It's an embarrassment and once again we see it playing itself out all over again in this case. Yes it was horrific that all these women had to lose their life but the icing on the cake is that the justice system is not at all just. It literally makes me feel so angry and so hopeless. What are we going to do what can we do? And we know the answer is a big fat nothing. people get away with so much crap it makes my head spin. Have a great weekend and say hello to your beautiful wife. I'll see you in the next video. I'm getting to the point though where I can't handle much more of seeing how this guy got away with so much bullshit just because he was a cop. Disgusting, and he was plotting to kill the prosecutor.

Found out he was married straight out of high school & had a bunch of kids... that us teens, whom he was always trying to date wasn’t aware of... until his wife came dragging a bunch of kids to pick up a prescription where a friend worked, & my friend asked if she was related. Always felt bad for her & the kids. He heads some kind of Christian center, that is huge, but has never had many members.

The worst part is that there's many more guys like Drew & are police officers... Cases like this disgust me. This narcissist pos using the law that he is supposed to be upholding as a tool to distract detour allowing him to get away with countless crime’s let alone the worst being murder. One can only say that thankfully he did not have cremation done on wife #3 that later helping to convict him.
    But what about the other many police officers protecting and diverting from doing an abdicate job or even properly documenting the many things they should have been.
    Just because a person is a fellow police officer doesn’t give them a pass. This mentality need’s to change.

    • @peggypeggy4137
      @peggypeggy4137 2 года назад +2

      I agree with you, he was a creep. I can only speculate as to what they saw in him. I had heard that he would be really nice in the beginning. They may have been attracted to him because of his authoritative job, at least for a while. He would buy Stacy cool stuff, like her own car. It was probably fun playing "grown up" for a while. Once she started having kids of her own, then she got more trapped into his world.
      The reality must have set in. She would have been very dependent on him. I think she was a house wife with 4 kids to take care of...her 2 plus his 2 from Kathleen Savio. She was very young when they first got together (like 15?) He was 30 yrs older than her !! There was probably some brain washing going on.
      Later, it sounds like it would have done no good to report him for anything because of the corrupt police force. He was so possessive and it sounds like she stayed out of fear and dependency. That's all I can think of !!
