- This unsolved case will leave you not only heartbroken but absolutely mind-boggled...
On October 16th 1984, in Lépanges France, Christine Villemin was busy with household chores while her four-year-old son played outside in the yard. That evening little Gregory Villemin vanished. He was later discovered in a river with his hands and feet bound.
The nightmare at the Villemin family household began long before the toddler’s body was found. For years, the Villemin family was being terrorized by threatening calls from an anonymous man who seemed to know everything about the family’s darkest history…
The unfolding of this case went through a rollercoaster of suspects, witnesses and hearsay, but to this day, the real killer of little Gregory is still unknown…
Our question is: who really killed little Gregory Villemin and will we ever know?
Stay tuned for today’s True Crime Recap where we’ll be uncovering everything we know about the case.

Have you heard about this heartbreaking case before, or seen the Netflix documentary?
I've never heard of this heartbreaking case, and even though we have Netflix, I prefer You and Amy for bringing me the knowledge, of Gregory Villemin. Your compassion and thoughtfulness is so very much, appreciated. Our hope is, that he and his true loved ones get the justice he so deserves 💌💝🤍🙏🤍💝

No child should ever be held responsible for any wrong, real or perceived, of their parents.
I agree with You completely.. Children are innocent. So sad
You have very weird perception. This child was never held responsible for anything his parents did or did not do. What’s wrong with you?
@@MaureenKo1 it specifically stated in the video that the caller was mad about something the "boss" and his family had done. And that he, the caller, was going to make them pay. When he threatened the child and got a reaction to that, he then killed the child. Did you even listen to this video? I don't know how you got anything different than the child was murdered to pay for whatever wrong the caller felt the family had done. If you got something different, explain your thoughts. Don't just disagree and not explain WHY you disagree.
@@MaureenKo1 The child literally was killed "for what the family has done", according to the person who stalked and threatened them and told them they "had to pay". One day after the child's body was found the killer also stated "I have taken vengeance!"
How else do you perceive that?!
Wtf is wrong with YOU, besides your comprehension issues? Talk about weird!
There's exceptions to every rule.
In this case the exception is; If your name is Kerry, you're absolutely held responsible for your parents actions.
The quick recap your channel does isn’t too long but you get the story facts. I appreciate that from a true crime channel.

Did you miss the detail about the insulin syringe? If it was used as part of the murder, the child would have slipped off into a coma. Literally fallen into a deep sleep and totally unaware of the crime being committed against him. That would explain his peaceful facial expression. Drowning alive would have produced a ghastly face. This child appeared to have been fast asleep, and probably was when he died.
@@MaureenKo1 That makes sense. I must not have heard that. Thank-you!
@@MaureenKo1 I do hope his death was painless, even though it was cruel he was killed. Drowning would of been so horrible, it doesn’t make the situation any better but you always hope the victims didn’t suffer much in the end.
His tiny shoes in the police evidence bag are heartbreaking.
Yes. It's unfathomable to even imagine what this poor, little boy suffered. RIP precious, little Gregory.🌹❤🌺
I just can’t wrap my head around how someone could hurt a child like that.
That child was so precious. I can’t wrap my head around how murderers, rapists, kidnappers can do what they do. How do they disconnect themselves and their private lives from the horrible crimes that they perpetrate? They have people in their lives that they love, but they can take others’ lives so easily.
I’m not sure how the women do it, I just watched the one about the stepmom suspecting of killer her stepson and crazy to think how she could of killed a child she lived with!

Such a beautiful little boy, I hope someday his family will get the answers they deserve.
I would love for this to be solved. It is a heartbreaking story.
Such a precious, beautiful little boy. Who would harm a child. I think that Muriel’s story holds truth. Because eyewitnesses saw her get into a car and said she definitely wasn’t on the bus. The driver she said was driving the bus didn’t work that day, and she stated the color of the roof. Was the house’s rooftop RED? If so, how would she know? This story is so shady. I know one person that knows the truth, and He says “ vengeance is mine, I will repay.” So we do know that the person or persons that harmed this baby WILL be punished to the FULLEST extent
Kind of bizarre, French authorities, and their "handwriting experts," said two different people/genders wrote the note. Whenever things get political, and the bosses have a lot of pressure on them, "solving the case" can often take precedence over finding the perpetrator. What is it, 1/15 old cases that have testable DNA exonerate the guy charged with the crime?
@@jeaniecreswell8708 Nope. The witness who claimed she saw Murielle going in a car was wrong. She said "I remember that day because it was the same day my day had eye operation at the hospital" Problem is that her father was actually at Hospital the 22 not the 16..
There are tons of elements that make Bernard innocent. Even the DNA is not Bernard's. Netflix documentary is garbage.
Journalist Jean Querre twist the reality to save his reputation. Like the sketch. Firts sketch presented wasn't the one with a moustache (or he lied or he confused ) The Sketch witha moustache was made by Bernard Cousin! He said "I know my cousin , if it was him I would have said "hi" and started a conversation with him 🤷♀
Technically it's impossible that Bernard could have done such stuffs in such short period of time .
Who would have taken so many risks
_the worst route!
_So many witnesses
_driving 3 times in front of villemin's house and neighbours , that doesn't make any sense.
Sorry for my english , we have tons of proofs that make Bernard innocent.
Jean Marie is still searching for who committed the murder. Ti this day.
If you have any question I'll give some answers.
There are so many mistakes in the netflix documentary..
I’ve been wanting to watch the documentary on Netflix but I don’t have time to read the subtitles! I love this channel, amazing content, straight to the facts, and I could seriously listen to both of y’all’s voice forever.
So nice of you to say! Thanks a million!
It’s not subtitled on Netflix it’s English dubbed.
Muriel told the truth at first, but then she was afraid to be murdered too.
What kind of animal could do this to a child?!😡

I was a child when i heard this story , i followed it since i became a grown woman, Netflix documentary is very good. To me it s my opinion Bernard Laroche is the perpetrator and Murielle Bolle is hiding something there's many people involved.

I was a child too when gregory was cruelly murdered and i grew up with that tragic case. Gregory' s parents have been failed by everyone involved : investigators , judge Lambert , journalists , some of their own family members . Mainstream medias have made so much dammages to that investigation and to gregory's family ! I agree with you about Bernard Laroche being the murderer. It s important to know Boile changed her testimony AFTER spending time at ( Laroche) home. No doubt her sister asked her to lie to protect her husband. She also knows who wrotte those disgusting letters but would probably never tell the truth.

I always look for this channel because I love the quick recaps. I get the facts without dragging out the video. They are a delightful couple to watch and listen to.
Hi, french here. I think one of the impacts of this case is how even nowadays we're all saying who did what as soon as a new case appears. Through social networks, as soon as something appears in the news and as soon as we have a couple of interview of people involved in the case, TONS of people here talk about how they feel and what they think. And it can be pretty deep with people saying how things happened, why, when etc. And they brag about it on social networks. Its amazing to see. And I guess this happens everywhere in the world, but in France the trauma of the Gregory Villemin case is unique. I really believe that most of us here know about this case, how it went (with medias, global hysteria, justice failures, the fact that we can't tell the truth etc) and that it has an effect on how we deal with ALL cases.
Y'all do great work. Thank you for your focus on the children

Hi Chris and Amy. Thanks for this very on point analysis of petit Gregory murder. I do think that most of French people (and I) are thinking that, it is a family conspiracy due to jalousers and envious of jj and Christine's success in life. I have been living in such place in france, I'm the age that Gregory would be. May I say, silence is gold for most of people in such secluded places. I do think Murielle is the key of this situation. And I do think the biggest mistake was coming from the Judge Lambert who released her from custody for a whole weekend back into her family. When she came back home after she stated Bernard laroche was involved, she surely, obviously, had a proper beat up or threat for her life, so much, that she's gone mute from this, even to this day!! For being so stubborn and shut into this silence nowadays she's infuriating but understandably she's in fear cause they aren't all dead. It is so frustrating to see her even lately giving interviews and being faking she doesn't know a thing rather we all know she holds it all in herself though. At some point you'd want to come up to her, and say hey, yes or no. Silenced and reddish of shame as for the last 30 years. Famous video is : "mon beau Frere est innocent". Find it and see for yourself. But it was too late. And we all know. Seriously. It involves a lot of people from this clan. I do think this is a bad joke gone wrong and not an action from a sole demented person... Sorry for the whole "I do think" thingy. But this case needs owned opinions and not vague suppositions.
Hi Elise. Thanks for your in depth opinion here. We will take a look at "mon beau Frere est innocent" Sounds very intriguing.

Poor Gregory. With how peaceful his body appeared to be, I’m assuming it was someone he knew.
What if it turns out it was a massive coincidence. Someone in the family was The Raven. Someone in the family talked about it. Some random loony made this a crime of opportunity. Maybe no one in the family killed him. Just an idea. Stranger things have happened.
It's such a mystery and anything is possible. Makes the imagination run wild!
I am debating it, which if that’s the case it would lead to false leads because there will be guilty people wanting to hide their actions and not be found guilty of murder. I wouldn’t put it pass a stranger or some friend of the family to have killed the boy. After it it didn’t seem like he was attacked
So Sad AND WHY? Bc MONSTERS are among us. I'm gonna watch this. rest in peace sweet baby Gregory
So they have never heard from the Raven again. It really doesn’t seem like there was anything that any of these suspects had that would seem to have been so egregious he would take a little boy‘s life. It’s very strange, and it would seem to me that there would have to be something really dark in the past for this to of happened. Y’all have such great recaps! I’m going to have to think about this one! Take care and many blessings!
