  • This unsolved case will leave you not only heartbroken but absolutely mind-boggled...
On October 16th 1984, in Lépanges France, Christine Villemin was busy with household chores while her four-year-old son played outside in the yard. That evening little Gregory Villemin vanished. He was later discovered in a river with his hands and feet bound.
The nightmare at the Villemin family household began long before the toddler’s body was found. For years, the Villemin family was being terrorized by threatening calls from an anonymous man who seemed to know everything about the family’s darkest history…
The unfolding of this case went through a rollercoaster of suspects, witnesses and hearsay, but to this day, the real killer of little Gregory is still unknown…
Our question is: who really killed little Gregory Villemin and will we ever know?
Stay tuned for today’s True Crime Recap where we’ll be uncovering everything we know about the case.

Literally fallen into a deep sleep and totally unaware of the crime being committed against him. That would explain his peaceful facial expression. Drowning alive would have produced a ghastly face. Such a precious, beautiful little boy. Who would harm a child. I think that Muriel’s story holds truth. Because eyewitnesses saw her get into a car and said she definitely wasn’t on the bus. The driver she said was driving the bus didn’t work that day, and she stated the color of the roof. Was the house’s rooftop RED? If so, how would she know? This story is so shady. I know one person that knows the truth, and He says “ vengeance is mine, I will repay.” So we do know that the person or persons that harmed this baby WILL be punished to the FULLEST extent

Kind of bizarre, French authorities, and their "handwriting experts," said two different people/genders wrote the note. Whenever things get political, and the bosses have a lot of pressure on them, "solving the case" can often take precedence over finding the perpetrator. What is it, 1/15 old cases that have testable DNA exonerate the guy charged with the crime?

    • @michaelromeo9567
      @michaelromeo9567 9 месяцев назад

@@jeaniecreswell8708 Nope. The witness who claimed she saw Murielle going in a car was wrong. She said "I remember that day because it was the same day my day had eye operation at the hospital" Problem is that her father was actually at Hospital the 22 not the 16..
There are tons of elements that make Bernard innocent. Even the DNA is not Bernard's. Netflix documentary is garbage.
Journalist Jean Querre twist the reality to save his reputation. Like the sketch. Firts sketch presented wasn't the one with a moustache (or he lied or he confused ) The Sketch witha moustache was made by Bernard Cousin! He said "I know my cousin , if it was him I would have said "hi" and started a conversation with him 🤷‍♀
Technically it's impossible that Bernard could have done such stuffs in such short period of time .
Who would have taken so many risks
      _the worst route!
      _So many witnesses
_driving 3 times in front of villemin's house and neighbours , that doesn't make any sense.
Sorry for my english , we have tons of proofs that make Bernard innocent.
Jean Marie is still searching for who committed the murder. Ti this day.
If you have any question I'll give some answers.
There are so many mistakes in the netflix documentary..

Hi, french here. I think one of the impacts of this case is how even nowadays we're all saying who did what as soon as a new case appears. Through social networks, as soon as something appears in the news and as soon as we have a couple of interview of people involved in the case, TONS of people here talk about how they feel and what they think. And it can be pretty deep with people saying how things happened, why, when etc. And they brag about it on social networks. Its amazing to see. And I guess this happens everywhere in the world, but in France the trauma of the Gregory Villemin case is unique. I really believe that most of us here know about this case, how it went (with medias, global hysteria, justice failures, the fact that we can't tell the truth etc) and that it has an effect on how we deal with ALL cases.

Hi Chris and Amy. Thanks for this very on point analysis of petit Gregory murder. I do think that most of French people (and I) are thinking that, it is a family conspiracy due to jalousers and envious of jj and Christine's success in life. I have been living in such place in france, I'm the age that Gregory would be. May I say, silence is gold for most of people in such secluded places. I do think Murielle is the key of this situation. And I do think the biggest mistake was coming from the Judge Lambert who released her from custody for a whole weekend back into her family. When she came back home after she stated Bernard laroche was involved, she surely, obviously, had a proper beat up or threat for her life, so much, that she's gone mute from this, even to this day!! For being so stubborn and shut into this silence nowadays she's infuriating but understandably she's in fear cause they aren't all dead. It is so frustrating to see her even lately giving interviews and being faking she doesn't know a thing rather we all know she holds it all in herself though. At some point you'd want to come up to her, and say hey, yes or no. Silenced and reddish of shame as for the last 30 years. Famous video is : "mon beau Frere est innocent". Find it and see for yourself. But it was too late. And we all know. Seriously. It involves a lot of people from this clan. I do think this is a bad joke gone wrong and not an action from a sole demented person... Sorry for the whole "I do think" thingy. But this case needs owned opinions and not vague suppositions.

What happened to Gregory was awful. The investigation seems to have done nothing but make it all worse. You can't let the murderer off, but innocent people should not be harassed, especially to the point of miscarrying another baby.

What if it turns out it was a massive coincidence. Someone in the family was The Raven. Someone in the family talked about it. Some random loony made this a crime of opportunity. Maybe no one in the family killed him. Just an idea. Stranger things have happened.

I am debating it, which if that’s the case it would lead to false leads because there will be guilty people wanting to hide their actions and not be found guilty of murder. I wouldn’t put it pass a stranger or some friend of the family to have killed the boy. After it it didn’t seem like he was attacked

So they have never heard from the Raven again. It really doesn’t seem like there was anything that any of these suspects had that would seem to have been so egregious he would take a little boy‘s life. It’s very strange, and it would seem to me that there would have to be something really dark in the past for this to of happened. Y’all have such great recaps! I’m going to have to think about this one! Take care and many blessings!
