This song has nothing to do with crushes. It's about moving on from long term relationships that changed your life. Which at the time when I first heard this and just be friends I had never experienced heartbreak. Now I have... I was with a guy for 2 years and been in love with him for 5. And now I'm having to move on and god being heartbroken is the most indescribable feeling, when it's this deep. This painful, this isn't like having a crush and moving on. This is something I'm going to carry for the rest of my life. 😪 I'm not ready
Try close to 10 years of holding on to the affection when they have five kids and a good relationship with their new boyfriend. Then in 2019 finally letting go.

honestly this song is sad in its own right. it’s a bittersweet thing to be moved on from something that use to mean so much to you. i’m never gonna forget the first person i ever really fell in love with even if i ended meeting more along the way that i was more attracted to. the first one will always be the one that will always be the most near and dear to my heart. and thankfully, i can still consider him a friend. even if it took a long time to get here, and even if we aren’t really close.. i know i can always reach out and see how he’s doing. love is a strange thing, it’s power is always deeper than you can imagine. the way it can make you feel is really something. whether good or bad. despite all the pain i’ve experienced in my life with love, this song makes me feel like there’s always a reason at the end of the day for that pain. i’m glad to have met those i have along the way..

Okay out of all of Juby’s older covers (and I mean like REALLY OLD), this one probably holds up the best. Her voice is incredibly soft but still really clear I love it.

Have you ever heard JoyDreamerJourney singing 'Just Be Friends'? That is probably the best cover I've heard, I love it so much.
To be honest with you, I'm not a huge fan of her voice, at least not in that cover of the song. Juby's voice is high pitched but in a lower octave than Dreamers. Juby also seems to have a bit more control over her voice than Dreamer from what I've heard. I'm sorry if this offends you, but I really do wish to listen to Jubys version (If she makes one) cause I truly believe she can do amazingly well with this song. I just wasn't too impressed with Dreamers though I haven't heard Juby do a cover of this yet. Again, I'm not trying to be rude, this is just my opinion and I hope you will respect this.
Of course I respect your opinion! It's how you feel and so why shouldn't I respect it? Though I get what you're saying, I feel Juby has more of a nasal kind of singing voice (no offense Juby!) and they both seem to have good control over their voices. And I just like Joy's voice because hers is high-pitched and I feel it makes the song 'Just be Friends' more emotional. Though I do want to hear Juby make a cover, as well.

I can understand that. I think its my own personal affinity with lower pitched voices in women that makes me not favor it. I believe Joy would be amazing with songs that have you hold out more notes and don't speak so fast as 'Just be Friends'. Am I making sense? Sorry >.
Yes, you're making sense. I can see where you're coming from, and while you like women with lower pitched voices, I like the kind that are high pitched. That's why I like Ketsuban, JoyDreamerJourney, and so on. Though, Juby is one of my favorite Vocaloid singers. Most of my playlist for Vocaloid is Juby just like I have a lot of songs by Joy. I have 22 out of 43 songs by her and 9 out of 43 by Joy. The others are by artists I don't really listen to and I have one or two songs by them.
But, above all, Juby is my favorite though I like Joy's works a lot.
