I have this one and it's low key very good especially for a cinematic look. 2.8 is good enough for this one, still gives amazing bokeh. Still fast enough imo. Especially on a apsc and with bloom filter portraits during golden hour. Love your new camera! And the vintage lenses. That's a good idea thanks for sharing! Happy new year!!!

Between the compact G primes and the Sigma I series, just about every focal length is covered. If you need a zoom the Sony 16-25 and 24-50 are compact enough to not feel out of place on a C body. I feel like pretty much everything is covered except for maybe a compact 135 f4.
I’m stuck between this and the Sony 85/1.8 right now for the A7CII (or adapting something from M Mount, but that’s going to be manual focus). The 85 is pretty small for an 85, but not like this Sigma.
@@xhynetuseinovski I'm using Sony A7iii, 35 f/1.8, 50 f/2.5, Sigma 85mm f/1.4, and going to replace the A7iii with A7cii too, and I am thinking about replace 85 with this 90mm. f/2.8 is enough for me. Thanks for your video and reply
All I have is third party lenses and these new sigmas pair up perfectly with the AI autofocus. Even with cheap samyang 24mm it never misses. The A7cii has AF down.
Love the photos - my only suggestion is for the kind of portraits you showed i would've probably stopped down to 5.6 or 8 since depth of field wasn't really a factor in the composition. I learned that the lens is pretty sharp at 2.8 though!
Okay so I honestly have the perfect video for you. Go back and watch my video on the Yongnuo 85mm. I compare the sony, yongnuo, and viltrox. In summary, the cost to performance ratio, the yongnuo kills everything. I recommend the sigma 90 over the yongnuo if you want top tier build quality and an aperture ring. If not get the yongnuo. It’s newer and better.

there are still few lenses for A7c II that are small, thats why people are interested in it

@@mrmonday42 eyah and then correct for distortion every raw files when i want to work, and i dont use lightroom, only photoshop
@@strippedlist Distortion is a trade off lens designers make when designing compact lenses.

yes the autofocus is very very fast suitable for street! especially with the newer autofocus

i mostly use it for my videos, getting close up product shots and b-roll. not so much for street or travel. i just gravitate more to 28 or 35.
