- This won't last long, 1 x Yaesu FT625RD which we have two of, so one has to go. Beautiful example of not just the era, but these radios are just brilliant performers for the upcoming 6m season. I personally love the whole series of Ft series radios of this era, pure performance and you can actually repair it so easily if ever needed. My first radio was the FT-101EX I bought new back in the day. Then I inherited my uncle's FT-101ZD upon his passing a few years later. I lusted after the FT625RD for a long time but never could pull the trigger on one for the price just for 6 meters. Now 6m comes in almost all HF rigs these days :). My Uncle turned me on to Yaesu when I got my first ticket and stayed with them ever since. Have had a few other radios like Kenwood and Icom but still have a soft spot for Yaesu. My foray into radio started in CB but that's for another time lol. 73s

Beautiful and would match my '81 101ZD MK3 perfectly.... except shipping to Maryland would be pricey! Brenton, you always have great gear and videos, thank you for sharing.
