Easy to say now but I have consistently spoken out about Kompany to friends and family since he joined. There has always been an arrogance to his character that has irked me. Like he was doing us a favour. I’ll be glad to see the back of him. BFC is bigger than any manager.

My friend never bought into his way, after hearing his first interview. Unlike me .

I thought the Kompany interview that the club released yesterday including the timing of it was superb. It was a dig at Kompany showing him up for what he’s done. He used us as a stepping stone (everyone new that was the case), but it also showed the fans that it was a sham that he had bought into the club and he was pulling for us all including his playing staff. Pace and the board have had their noses severely disjointed and quite rightly feel betrayed that he has up and gone after relegating us. I would expect that they have instructed that the interview is published.
I would love to know what his new players are thinking. Surely they will weighing him up and first impressions mean a lot. Bayern fans will be doing their own research and a few will be looking at the bfc site and media and will come across this as well as claret fans comments. He’s gonna need a positive start to the season without doubt or it could turn ugly fast. UTC

I was upset very briefly. Then I reflected that he had alienated a load of our players from last season and wasted a stack of cash, delivering us a truly awful season. I don’t blame him for going, he’d be mad not to, but I’m also not surprised. We were always a stepping stone. The compensation money will get us a decent manager and he’ll have a pretty bloody good team to work with.
Cheerfully spent the day picking my new manager (Steve Cooper gets a lot of votes) and the Kompany compensation was spent on Romelu Lukaku.
He’s moved on. I’ve moved on. Mr Pace looks a bit silly, bless. UTC

I can't blame him for accepting the job. Pisses me off that we backed him last year with the promise of the project, but we will be better off for it.

For starters, it's a jaw dropping move, utterly amazing....but I'm anxious about our immediate future and, as for Kompany himself, it's weird.... I feel like i did when we were relegated down at Spurs, absolutely nothing, neither sad nor happy.
Glad to see you getting rid of the German mucky movie music....and putting in a bit of 90s Dutch VHS vintage instead 😀

Lets not get it twisted, Kompany was 9th choice after everyone else turned it down. I am not surprised Kompany has agreed to join at this point in his career though but I genuinely think Kompany has had his people (dad) putting his name into every possible vacancy because he wanted out.

We will get screwed over, its a given... third season on the trot we are starting again from scratch. No club can afford this or find success doing it. I do understand why he has gone, but after backing him all season long I also feel abused by him and not a little miffed.

Judas 2.0 I would understand if it was City. Just felt like he just didn't give a damn for the club. His decisions were awful and now we stand to lose some of our best players that were either loaned out or benched. Should have got rid ages ago. Wish that the board had backed Dychey with 110m instead of making a go on a shoestring. I would love Shaun back,

I think he is making a mistake, he's taking a step up too soon. Bayerns owners wont have the patience Alan Pace had and will sack him if he doesn't win the league and if he gets sacked I think it will lower his stock especially if he tries to get a job at another big club.

He's pissed off left us with £100 m of mostly mediocre players . Destroyed the Winning team from the Championship. Been totally outclassed in every department. I wouldn't be as annoyed if he hadn't given us all this crap about buying in Burnley FC and what it means to the town. Can't wait to see his first interview fxxking rat.

Mind-blowing developments and the next managerial appointment will be so important, and we do not want another Brian Laws debacle, and it might be another gamble for another up and coming manager and for me experience is needed and Mr Moyes fits the profile and is available and lives locally ........

Hand on heart to the fans last weekend art the Turf,Mission videos, I am not going anywhere BS,Pace backing him to the hilt-turns out he is just a upgrade on Owen Coyle.

Honestly Joe, all these fans slating VK for taking the Bayern job need to get a grip. You DONT refuse a job offer like that! Nobody could unless your already one of the worlds top managers which VK isn’t. The timing stinks a bit but what can you do??? Feels a tiny bit like Coyle if I’m being honest. Will be hard for the new manager oncoming

My friend. Its not that the rat is going but all his BS which he as spouted since he came. Destroyed the championship side. Replaced Muric, with a keeper who had only played for Bolton and Accy Stanley . Had to much sway over the incoming players which we are stuck with as they are nowhere worth what was paid for them.

I agree on the job offer mate you just can’t turn it down, but from our point of view it definitely feels like we’ve kind of been lied to with all the stuff about the five year plan
