When you use youtube for self development and learning , you gain gems of wisdoms in these podcasts and documentaries , thank you MR KING DAVID for this plartform.
I love what she says about how when a song leaves you it nolonger belongs to you. I think there is a lesson there for all of us about how our gifts, whatever they may be are for service to others. Simphiwe is such a beautiful soul and is testament that strength doesn't always need to be loud. Thank you David. She is my all time favourite singer. I look forward to seeing her performance this year. From my lips to the universe ♥️
The way i listen to everything that David Mashabela does. From Radio show to podcast and all of it is quality broadcasting! Well done brother. We are consuming quality conversations through you and your platforms. I wish to meet you one day as an avid fan. Hayi ke lo sisi is the most important artist of our time in my book!
Simphiwe Dana is full of wisdom , she is authenthic, and so eloquent. I could listent to her all day long. I wish she could go into acadeic and lecture in the HUMANTIES. Thank you so much KING DAVID fo these excellent podcast you are AMAZING.
Beautiful mind...It is true,Twitter is not the best place to form an impression of a person.Simphiwe Dana for president.Gosh,I did not know her personality at all.I wish I could spend the whole day with her.😍😍😍Thanks David.
Two of my favorite people in the industry, I'm literally over the moon. I feel that "Mayine" moment on David's show, I'm so glad to know "King David"... Simphiwe's music was one of the things I shared with my father and I still listen to it to feel close to him since has passed. I love these two people.
One of the best interviews ever. I enjoyed every aspect of it. Simphiwe is not only a great musician but oozes with wisdom. She also comes across as a compassionate being. She knows what she wants in life. She seems to take heed of her own counsel and to listen attentive ly to her guides and they've never misled her. All of the best for the overseas endeavour. Thanks Dave for inviting her. The interview has shed more light on her. Enkosi kakhulu. Dave keep on raising the bar higher and higher. Maine!!!👏💪❤️
One of the only women moving with anointing. I still listen to her music till today. She has a special way of mastering spirituality, tradition, culture, politics and economy and sum it up all at once. I give PhD . Was never selfish about the stage. Teaching us compassion and resilience.
Now I know why I love this woman's music, she's grounded, well versed and very intelligent. I didn't know she's my age I thought she was older from listening to her songs. Wow what a lady.❤❤
My Word!! What an amazing soul!!!! I have really enjoyed this episode and even shed a tear in the end because this was so wholesome. Thank you for inviting her over. Mayine nyan!
This was such a beautiful podcast Simphiwe is such a gift 💛💙❤ Chosi👏🏽👏🏽I love the song Mayine and the reason and the person she wrote for... My mom was also very sick same time as Mam Busi( whom I absolutely loved) the day she passed was the same day my mother passed 15 June 2010 it hit me so hard... Love the song cause I also dedicate it to my mom too! Camagu 👏🏽👏🏽🕯🕯🕯
I hear Sis'Simphiwe say she wants to go over seas and create spaces for SA musicians to penetrate the global market. But I cant wait to hear the music that she will produce from that space. There's something about how perspective stretches when you are away from home. All the best Sisi! Siqhayisa ngawe!
One doesn't necessarily have to change their style of music when outside SA. One can promote and open spaces, and make our music get airplay on international platforms. Look at how AmaPiano is growing overseas. Local DJs become resident DJs is clubs or live events. All we need is intentional effort.
I've been skipping this podcast for a while and it was very fruitful. Since you talked of Mam Busi Mhlongo I've been very privileged to see her performing live sharing a stage with Bab Caiphus, Mam Letta and Ringo and I will carry that for my entire life
Powerful interview, Simphiwe is so much experienced with life. I wish her all the best for the future endeavors, may all be well with her, we love her.
I love this interview especially, where Mam Simphiwe Dana was speaking about how "Zandisile" came to be because Zandisile is one of my favourite tracks from that album.
Hi David I really appreciate your podcast .Am a single parent without a income .My son graduated at Afda with honours with Film and copy writer till now he cannot find the job I would really appreciate if you can come and intern in your podcast
'How do you live alongside us in this world because we are perpetrators, we are dangerous animals'.... ooh David my daily struggle in this world. Nisifunani, sinenze ntoni we are merely existing and navigating life as women.
Simphiwe Dana is such a feminist at heart. I am getting to understand where her brutal view of men come from. This interview should have come through long time ago.
Whenever Malome David mentions talking to his niece, I'm always wondering if the niece knows the privilege she has, to have access to this curious mind, the wisdom, the teachings, ah man!!!
@@julietminie7981 Just couldn't find it when music stores were still around There's digital of course, but nothing beats physical copies for documentation purposes.
From a population of 60,6 Million, there are 36,330 cases reported for this year. it's very interesting how this conversation turns to be personal individual experiences not how things, in general are in reality. this is not to say rape is not an issue per se but its important to contextual these things so that we can get to the root cause of this otherwise, we will end up criminalizing even those who can aid in resolving this social ill.
Simphiwe just leave out things that you do not know bcz u also have power and you can influence a lot of people. Intaba imoshwa ngabantu abangomama abathatha amandla obudoda bafuna ukubulawu and also nobuthi obusondele pha esuthwini.

The Eastern Cape is drawing me to it as well. Next to the beach. One of my favourite singers.
Such wisdom and an endearing calm demeanor.

I've just learned today from Simphiwe that the actual name for the old radio is "Wire less" & not "Wylence"
