    Lexus Nx 250 awd owner here. This is my first luxury car . My opinion is that if your looking for true performace go for other brands . Materials are much better than the rav 4 . I was cross shopping the bmw x3 with this but the lexus won me over . Because ive always wanted one plus reliability is a big factor to me and comfort so i went with the 250. Do i regret getting the 250 no but if your wanting anything other than adequate performance go for the turbo or hybrid .

    I was at a Lexus dealer looking at the NX250 the other day here in Canada and it seems the options are different between Canada and the USA. Here in Canada, you can't opt for the red/black interior, just black and you can't get power hatch. Like these options and it might be a deciding factor if I can't get them.

    • @MilkyWayGalaxyy
      @MilkyWayGalaxyy 8 месяцев назад +2

      @delsmontgomery Thanks for asking! I just made an expensive repair to my 2005 corolla, replaced the entire exhaust pipe and muffler and I did a lot of other maintenance work a few years earlier like new tires, new belt, new front and rear brakes, rotors, brake drum, flushed the coolant etc so I am keeping my corolla for another few years!
      Now is not a good time to make a big purchase anyway, in this economy and with the car chip shortage etc.
      But I will most likely get a rav4! The lexus is too expensive and the camry doesn't offer much more utility than a corolla.
      The rav4 will give me a lot more space, much higher step in height for a tall guy like me and i will kind of have to tint the windows bc it's an SUV and that will give me a lot more privacy.
      But 3-5 years from now, those vehicles might look completely different with the refresh design so I will definitely have to reassess then based on what the new design looks like.
      What is your situation?

    • @delsmontgomery
      @delsmontgomery 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@MilkyWayGalaxyy yes a corolla is one of the best cars ever! I had the 2000 corolla and sold it this year - the engine is still great! I am leaning towards a RAV4 for the price, but I am in the same boat. The interest rates are too high now, and the inflated prices are influencing me enough to steer clear from making a big purchase any time soon as well.

      @@mikej238 According to the Lexus dealership website I looked up, the whole NX line requires 91 octane, at least from the 2022 model year. Sure it will run on regular, but it’s designed to run on premium. That is odd since the NX 250 has identical specs on HP as the Rav 4 as you mentioned, which I didn’t realize till now. Some people may be annoyed at spending more at the pump for the Lexus. The Lexus really only makes sense in the NX 350 or higher build IMO.
      The Lexus is not as good off road with less ground clearance/suspension travel and the retail price is essentially 30% higher but with the crazy dealer markups on the Rav 4, they are close to the same price out the door right now. I saw a Rav 4 hybrid USED at Toyota for $42k and the Lexus was the same price brand new with no mark up a year back. Now for 2022 here in UT they are charging $3k over MSRP for the Lexus. This is not about the price of the tires it is about the best possible tire that will give the most comfort in the ride. The smoothest ride and the quiet ride. Run flat tires are noisier and an offer a quietest ride. I will not buy a Lexus because of this dumb move in 2022. No spare tire and jack in Lexus’s vehicles. Lexus needs to install Michelin tires in their vehicles with an option for run flat tires for the few that think they will benefit with them or drop them entirely.
