And if you dont have a valid source of depression than I feel that it's because of u keeping ur mind idle which leads to envy, low self esteem etc. I would love to know what exactly i dont have an idea about so that I do get an idea, enlighten me plz

    It is necessary to carefully observe the world so as not to be deceived by appearances. However, excessive care leads a person to transform into reality what could be considered just an illusion produced by a certain willingness to project fear, loss and sadness onto everything and everyone. Without lightness and irony, life becomes miserably depressing. When a painter represents the world influenced by this disposition, this does not mean that the world is what he saw and represented. It just means that it is one of the many existing possibilities that deserve to be considered. That's why it's important to see the work of melancholic, happy, hopeful and ironic painters side by side. Only in this way can we contemplate the aesthetic beauty of each person's work without delving into the feelings that inspired the artists.

    I did very much enjoy the documentary as I have always been fascinated and haunted by Munch’s paintings. What I found extremely annoying, however, was the fact that we rarely got to see an entre view of his paintings. They zoomed in on a canvas, and then scanned across it exposing bits and pieces. It would appear more intelligent to show the entre canvas, and then zoom in to show the details, or vice versa.

    Interesting. I have known others who had electroshock treatment. All are passed away now. Most of the time it didn't work. But for a few, it DID work. It always seemed to me like using a nuclear weapon to kill a fly. Or a voodoo bone rattle healing. The doctors don't know what they are doing, because brain science isn't yet advanced enough. Many attribute sadistic motives or lack of clinical morality to the treatment. For many who actually chose to undergo it, it was a desperate choice for anything that could help. I never asked any of them about the 2nd moral dilemma. How can you be competant enough to make the choice to undergo this procedure?? For those who consented for whom it succeeded, I wish I had. The others? I never could.

      @OnceTheyNamedMeiWasnt it's all or nothing for you. That nothing could be absolutely nothing happens, bad or good. It could also mean that your identity is gone. Or, a slow decline towards death. Or both depending on how high the level is. If you're really considering it, you're as desperate as I mentioned in the previous comment. Your bravery is beyond anything I myself could even contemplate, to even consider it. I'd not want to see anyone do it. But I'm not you. Good luck to you on whatever you decide.

    Our brows have gone too long without their reefs.
    Why are there crowns for queens but not for you?
    The horns of sculpted Moses part the sea;
    a passageway believed and crossed by few.
    Do humpback whales still pirouette out there?
    The sea denies it parted in the past-
    -thy forehead’s only felt rogue strands of hair
    that dampen in the shallows where we splash.
    Thou, on the beach, the missing royal link;
    no resident to any beach-front house.
    Why walk the beach and wonder when to swim?
    our hallway in the sea conceals itself.
    But in the shallows, foreheads bead with drops.
    Ah, what those shining drops remind me of.

      @devinmichaelroberts9954/ what an interesting comment..this is a very unique perspective & one that probably applies to more well known artists than one can imagine. It's odd how one well marketed artwork can eclipse all the others in an instant. The public is basically told what is good, what to buy and what to think. But the real tragedy is for the artist himself with a hundred plus other canvases of undeniable power and energy.

    To create paintings in a bad mental state.
    Same as Vincent van Gogh.
    To paint liberates the soal but to others some depresive expression isnt that what you want to hang above your sofa. 🤔😅
    To choose for a more lighter subject can be more suitable. 😂
