    Nice one. I've always enjoyed Air India since 1965 (Boeing 707) and still using AI. The next one is this December 2018 (B787 Dreamliner) ................

      @@rahullakhanpal2413 It depends on your personal experience. I personally have never had a bad flight with
      Air India. The worst flight I have ever had in my life was with Kingfisher Airlines (international) which was rated extremely high at that time. Ratings are about probabilities or number of times things go wrong. But at individual level, you may have always had the best experience. I have consistently had great flights with Air India. Never faced a delay, glitch, bad food, "water problems in the toilet" (which Air India is notorious for).or unpleasant flight attendants. But someone who encountered any of that problem in their first or first few flights with Air India will form that opinion for ever. So personal experiences differ.

      Ataur Rahman wow so what you’re saying is if you pay less then the FA’s are within their rights to treat you like shit. But how do they know you’ve paid less. I searched yesterday and some of the tickets on J return from Uk to Delhi were coming up at £6000. My point is sometimes you haven’t paid less you could’ve paid more. The crew don’t know what you’ve paid so it’s not always cheaper for one, secondly their in a service sector job. When they applied and went through training do you think this is how they were trained? A friend of mine recently in school holiday time paid £900 a seat in economy! Still the service was shit. So in all your excuse is silly. Personally I’ve always had good to great service in business class.

    2017 my wife pretty much made me travel Air India on a gun point. In Economy class , the food was horrible/terrible. The Indian red wine Brand Shula taste awful. In meal the salad doesn't come with dressing. The coffee served may be a cheapo instant coffee. The coffee doesn't taste like coffee. Better to drink tea. I am pretty much washed my hands with Air India. There is an exception though. The food served in the domestic airlines in India are awesome. I had meal which includes chicken sausage, omlette bread really can't forget. For 3 hours journey you will never get such food in western airlines. I still found lot of Indian domestic travelers whining about food for money.

    As long as the Government of India bails them out financially, uses the employment of relatives and friends. uses the planes for their personal and family travels, shows no regards for fair fare paying passengers and total lack of accountability within the management and staff, one can expect the service to deteriorate.

      Exactly.. Most of the Delhi passengers could be flying government funded trips as Delhi by itself has no industry whatsoever. Almost all money is government money..

    • @username41981
      @username41981 5 лет назад +2

      tibs zorall What are you exactly trying to imply here? Are Delhiites travelling in Air Canada, United, Lufthansa, Aeroflot, Air France, Turkish and ten's of other airlines from around the world operating from Delhi also being funded by the government of India? Most of the major global airlines operate daily flights from Delhi and comparatively fewer from Mumbai and very less from elsewhere in India. Ask them why? Delhi Airport is by far the busiest in India in all respects and it's annual passengar traffic is significantly higher than the second busiest one (Mumbai). Other airports? Lol, Delhi Airport handles more passengers than combined total of Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. I'm not exaggerating even a bit here. Among this huuge traffic at Delhi Airport, only a small chunk is carried by Air India.
      Delhi is not just some sarkari babu town that it has to be run by the government. It is one of the world's largest mega cities with a flourishing diverse economy. It's the second largest commercial centre of the country. And Delhi has no industry? Which type of industry you're talking about? Large scale manufacturing ones? Well, they are located mostly in the adjoining suburbs in neighboring states rather than main Delhi itself. Delhi has a predominately service based economy dominated by banking, financial services, trade, construction, real estate, ITes etc.

    • @tibby5414
      @tibby5414 5 лет назад +2

      @@username41981 lol.. You being a delhite are not even aware that Delhi is the busiest Airport and Delhi has flights to almost all countries, ONLY AND ONLY because it is the national capital and hence the rest of the world has to have their embassies in Delhi. No option for them. Not to speak of the babus of various Indian GOVERNMENT agencies like MEA, Defence etc who have to fly to various countries for their work etc. So basically, the traffic is almost all govt connected (overtly or covertly) people. Speaking of industry, even a child from outside Delhi will tell you that noida industrial area etc is all a recent phenomenon - of the past 10-15 years. Before that, it was 100 % govt money that people of Delhi would travel on. So please do not try to fool non delhiites.

    • @username41981
      @username41981 5 лет назад +3

      tibs zorall Lol, I can sense your jealousy and hatred. Again I ask what are you trying to imply by posting these hate filled comments here? Have you even read my comment for once ? Leave Air India, how is the government funding air travel of Delhiites in the numerous foreign carriers and domestic private carriers operating from Delhi? Ah, these flights carry only diplomats and government employees by your incredible logic. Not the industrialists, businessmen, people working in giant corporates, foreign tourists, NRIs and others. They travel by bullockcarts or ships, I think. Or they don't exist at all in Delhi according to you. All 2 crore Delhiites including children are working in central government, eating on the money of all Indian tax payers. Delhi has become the only alpha city (top tier of global commercial cities) from India apart from Mumbai only because of these cheater ultra rich central government employees, not because it has a vibrant economy. Am I right?
      Now let's talk something sane and serious. Delhi's urban area is the world's second most populous after Tokyo. And it's economy is surely not run by central government. Delhi-NCR is an all-rounder economic powerhouse and has even overtaken Mumbai's MMR in GDP as per recent estimates of not one but two globally renowned think-tanks. Delhi's satellite city of Gurgaon has offices of most of the World's Fortune 500 companies and is a major financial and manufacturing hub. Noida and Greater Noida are also manufacturing hubs. Even without NCR, Delhi alone has offices of more private companies and foreign firms than any other state of India. Yes, I said state, forget about comparing it with other cities. Hardly 2-3 percent of Delhiites are employed in central and state governments and control an insignificant portion of Delhi's economy. A much larger number of people are employed in private companies. Millions of other people are employed in tourism, textiles, BPO and healthcare industries. Most of the billionaires and millionaires in Delhi are industrialists and businessmen, not politicians or central government employees. On a side note, Delhi is the most visited Indian city by foreign tourists. Delhi's IGI records 27 percent of annual foreign tourists arrivals in India. And majority of them are actual tourists or business travellers, not diplomats. Please get some knowledge about Delhi before blabbering nonsense. Delhi alone (excluding NCR) generates second highest overall tax revenue and income tax for central government after Maharashtra. An area, where this huge amount of economic activity is concentrated is not dependent on government money. The government is not feeding us. We pay taxes to the government. The development of areas surrounding Delhi especially Gurgaon and Noida might be a "recent phenomenon" (not as recent as you're talking) but it doesn't even matter a bit for they're now established employment hotspots. As for Delhi proper, it had developed as a diverse commercial hub much earlier. It had been a trading hub since time immemorial. In fact, the growth of surrounding satellite cities was encouraged only to reduce excess burden and pressure on Delhi and it's infrastructure. Clear up your misconceptions and illogical presumptions about Delhi first and then talk.

      @@asolas69 there is a reason air India calls itself budget airline and cheap. It's a marketing strategy I reckon does airindia more harm than good.
      Service directly correlates to the price of the ticket. At cheap as chips prices I think what you get is way higher than other budget airlines, which doesn't make them better because they fall in the "forgetful experience" category.
      Also it's a government airline hence it's staff are rude and abnoxious much like Qantas who I detest flying.
      The reason you never see AI plane is because they look for the cheapest slots ( almost most inconvenient times to fly) , furtherest ( if that is even a word) gates and are given lowest priority by ATC hence are always late . Personally I think they are doing themselves a huge disservice by the strategy they follow because cheap doesn't always equal loyal customers - service does... Eg Singapore airline - they are drab as, when it comes to their planes and interiors, but what they excel at is service and they charge for it too!!

They are a joke compared to Emirates and Qatar. In fact none of the so called top dog airlines of Europe/US compare favorably to Emirates, SQ, or, Qatar.

Will never travel with Emirates again. Air India and Cathay Pacific are by far the best Airlines I have ever travelled with.

    It is odd that you couldn't find better breakfast in Delhi airport.Delhi airport was voted one of the best airports in the world,that would also include passenger amenities..The menu looks good,but on the tray not that good.In any case it is an Indian airline and one should expect Indian food and not the bland continental fare.The reason why the economy section had the lights on ,could be that the service was still not over.
