Congratulations on the large cent. It came out of the ground in nice shape. That property looks worthy of a few return visits before the bulldozers arrive. The E-Trac did a nice job of giving you a good signal when it was next to iron. Not many machines can give that kind of target separation. Thanks for another entertaining video!
Seems like the sun is always really bright when you are out in the mornings! But when you kneel down to dig or show us you make a shadow on the hole. I guess you can still see what you are going for, but we can’t see a thing. At some point you will put the coin in the sun where we can see it, but it makes me want to move over where the sun is shining in the hole as well as the find when you bring it up. I actually tried to move my screen over while ago trying to get a better view. A little sun would sure help!
first time I have seen anyone with a metal detector, it's very exciting I can't say I know anything about the coins you found, however I was pleased the finds made your few hours worthwhile I shall look forward to see what else you discover in future videos, and good luck!!
Cool old spot, congrats on that large cent-yeah a little hard to come by here in the midwest!-I have only found 2-bout s@#*t when they came out of the hole! thanks for sharing!GL!!
I didn't even know what it was!!! LOL. Too bad my hat camera decided to shut down on it's own. That coin was mixed in with a lot of rusty wire. The etrac was telling me to dig that higher tone out. Glad I did.
Nice hunt. Congrats on finding your first large cent. You dug some cool buttons too. Too bad the anchor button isn't silver. Still a nice find though. I subbed.
Go back after the house is hauled off and search the spot where the house sat . You never know what is under those old houses ,either something the families lost who lived there or the house could have been built on top of something someone lost or hid in that spot before the house was built .
JIMinBama1 Within 30 minutes after the house was tore down over a foot of dirt was put over the spot. I only had a few minutes to walk around and didn't find anything of value.
I have a slightly smaller than dime size token with a similar anchor , it's made from aluminum , I received it as a dime . ? I think it was for the Toronto Transit ,,I'll dig it out
Nice I have found them too, and also King George coppers, and 1 and two reale. The Large Cents are nice, sometimes hard to see the date. Happy Hunting buddy.
30 years not likely: I found one in tree roots down deep, it was on the edge in the roots. I found another one by a church in the driveway...they are everywhere...and the King George coopers have been found in the fields....
Maybe you want to join me? Bring some good gloves!! This house may be older than I think? They said there were slaves quarters in the back that was made of stone. They said that years ago it was taken down stone my stone and moved to Missouri Town where it stands today. So this outhouse may have stuff in it from the mid 1800's!! If someone swallowed a gold coin then it's in there!! LOL I'm going to go to Missouri town and take pictures of the structure. Awesome.......
I would love to be able to unearth some history ,and perhaps find something head spinning, sad part of that would be i live in a area with very strick codes of conduct ,and so much red tape ,I would have to travel for miles before anyone would allow me on their land, some people are very sniffy about metal detectors, let's hope one day they can see it has its advantages.
Hey there Mower Dog, what is that hood or sun shade you have over the top of your E-Trac control box. It looks like Duct Tape. Do you have a video on how you made this or was it purchased from a Detector Supply? Thanks and GL & HH
At 6:29 your ring finger is pointing to something that looks like a buckle? or is it a pop tab? I don't think you saw it, because you trash out too...?
wtg on your first LC congrads :) not to brag but i live in ottawa canada and found a 1849 american LC last year :P and 100 feet away coincidentally got a 1849 colt .31 pocket pistol but with lots missing ,was interesting :) anyhow i watched lots of your vids keep it up i subbed . HH from the north

Numisaccent I had it in my pocket all the time. Then laid it on the hood of my truck right before I dumped my pouch. I know it looked like I had it in my pouch.. Thanks for watching my video!
Makes me feel a little more grateful about detecting my area. I get frustrated when I don’t find a large cent.
I wish I had that problem. Lol

+J. Mann I hunted it a few more times with no great success. I won't give up on the site though.

I dug quite a few goodies with nails and wire in the holes. The etrac is a beast. Thanks for watching!
Congrats on the largie, mowerdog; it looked in pretty good shape!

+ICdigger It may still be down there!

I'll try to be more mindful of the shadows for viewing. Thanks

I had a couple large cents when I was a kid. They have disappeared over the years, so a large cent is on my bucket list.

jjgbmw323 I'll find my second LC in about 30 years. I'll just be 84 years old...
30 years not likely: I found one in tree roots down deep, it was on the edge in the roots.
I found another one by a church in the driveway...they are everywhere...and the King George coopers have been found in the fields....
I haven't found a King George. But have found Budweiser caps and they are the "King of Beers"
Since the yard was to be leveled I hope you concentrated on the low areas first.
I hit what I thought the hot spots were. Good thing because after this one day the owner won't let me hunt it again. ....
Awesome.......Now you need the gold coin.....;o)
I got permission to do a "Privy Dig" Maybe I'll sift a gold coil out of all that crap?
mowerdog Lol Good play on words.

I would trade you one of our war or Buffalo nickels. Neither ones I have are in perfect shape.
I'm surprised that you had the large cent in the pouch with trash.

in Jacomo? if so we re neighbors. subed
Yes I am. I'm not too far from Lone Jack.
What's the anchor button
I think it's just a coat button?
I would have said it's a US Navy button, but I couldn't find an exact match.
I need it to be worth a million bucks! I'm tired of working!
like your videos subed ty
***** Thanks a lot!
The audio is very rough largely because of the wind.
I'm sorry...
nice video but the sound needs work!
+Bob Ordewald I should have used my wave editor to fix the audio. But I forgot....
mowerdog Either way I subscribed. Thanks for your effort!
Thank you very much! Take care!
Right channel is out. I've got poor hearing on my left. O darn
Yeah - In the early years I had crap recording equipment. I'm only slightly better now. LOL Thanks for at least watching even if you couldn't hear me.
That wind is making it hard to hear you sorry.
Sorry.....
