  • This video shows you how to remove the front panel on a front load washer when you need to access the drain pump.
You can access the washer's drain pump through the hole in the bottom of the washer, but really I think this is slightly less frustrating to work on it this way.
    Washer Not Spinning or Draining
Once you have the front panel off, now you can watch these two other videos on front load washer repair.

    • Front Load Washer Won'...
Video on How to Unclog the Drain Pump

Cleaned out pump as directed, lots of crud and change in the filter!
    Never would have imagined!
Toughest part was trying to get those clips back on so I just put the adjustable hose clamps back on and it worked Great!
The door bellow is a pain as well there is a channel on the back side that needs to be fit all around the door and then you put the ring back on, it took a lot of cuss words to finally figure it out.
    Thanks for all your help!
    It works like a charm.

Mr. Newberry: VERY CLEAR video on how to remove the front panel I just HATE the videos that only describe PARTIALLY what to do? They assume you already know how to do some of the steps. Well, if I knew THAT, I wouldn't have to watch their video in the first PLACE! Thanks for being so clear in your steps.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU !!!! After fighting with repairs guys for days I decided to give it a try. All the other videos online don't show what to do if you don't have the bottom panel. You explained it perfectly. Thanks again.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Between this and the clearing out the drain pump video (and a little elbow grease from my husband) I was able to fix my washer! The coin catcher was SOOOOO full of gunk and the water was nasty. No wonder our clothes weren't getting clean! Thank you!

Bill you rock!! I just followed the video and cleaned out the filter. YUCK! A broken credit card and $4.40 in change clogged the filter along with some unslighty muck! Working like a charm! Thank you! I easily saved over $100 or more in service fees!

We have this exact washing machine bought it brand new with matching dryer in 2010 and they still work....10 years!!! The pump was replaced once but my husband hasn't tried this, cleaning the pump and I believe this is our whole problem. Thank you A tip for the dryer is to make sure you clean the lent filter with tooth brush and soap a few times a year. I guess fabric sheets leave an invisible barrier.

Yours plus the two other videos I watched before I opened my unit made me feel like I had already been in the machine by time I pulled the pump input boot out. And it was full of all kinds of string, lent, and even some change. Thanks for the help. Probably save me a couple more hours of work figuring it out.

What a great design! To access the drain pump you need to remove the lower front panel, and to do that, you need to remove the top panel and the front panel, the door and pry off the rubber ring... I'll never get it back on right.

This is great. About to take on this task - I wish that you had videos showing how to put it back together -- like how to get the metal piece back in and door lock assembly back in, etc. May be over thinking it. Fingers crossed.

Your video was how I thought I would need to do on my Frigidaire washer. I don't seem to have any problems. My problem is the smell from the machine. I keep the door open at all times yet there is this smell. I have used distilled vinegar which helps but the smell returns. My coins left in my pockets find their way to lay inside the tub. Hopefully there are not others laying inside the rubber tubing where you pulled out the plastic cup. Thanks for the video and you did well.

I only found a quarter but at least it's money coming in instead of going out! I don't know how much it would've cost to pay someone to clean out the coin trap of all the dog hair that was in it but thanks for the lesson and saving me money. My washer wasn't draining OR spinning but, after seeing the size of the clog that was in there, I'm waiting for a load to finish and fully expect that it'll work like new!

Replacing the boot wire is tedious. I used 2 vice grip pliers. Hang the wire (with the spring down) to the top half of the boot. Clamp the wire to the boot halfway down each side. This makes it easier to manipulate the bottom half of wire. I hope this helps.

It is literally impossible to get that metal ring back on. Why you dont make a video dedicated just to this issue is beyond me. I watched another video and the guy put it on simply by putting the ring on around it and pulling slightly either way and boom its on, yeah not happening I had two other people help me, and we would go one way and the goes another way.
By the way I am not DIY illiterate!!
I have put everything in from toilets to whole bath and shower tubs to water heaters to building a room addition to my house to dishwashers to garbage disposables I know my way around a house .
    But not this!!
