Live4 Boost You're exactly right. I remember coming across this channel when I had my 2.7 Sonata, and I got rid of that pile of shit back in 2014. I see that hardly any progress has been made on this car since then, at least that I can tell.
Having a those shoulder harnesses bolted to the floor, that's a great way to break your collar bone. They gotta be mounted up high, within a 10 degree angle of being level with your shoulders.
Excellent job guys, you got to love eBay parts but that sonata rips now and it took the intake pipe off from how much boost it had I guess you know what to do next you need some high quality silicone couplers
The lesson that can be learned here, should have just bought the v6 version of the same car. Spending money on ebay junk just to make the same power as the stock v6, what is even the point?
I say get some 1000cc injectors from a reputable company that doesn't involve eBay, get a REAL MBC like a Hallman, and crank it up. The 4G64 could at least take 12 psi with stock internals. Hell, if my Civic with a stock internal Integra engine was capable of making 412 wheel horsepower reliably, then I believe that 4G64 can make at least 300.
I say throw a 50 shot on it and call it done, it's nice to see another video, everybody is just bitchy because you only post like 3 times a year but you still have fans out here, I just hope you guys start posting more, at least once a week, keep up the good work can't wait to see another one!!!
From 370(?) to 220~ wat. That previous dyno mustve been lying AF, or did you step down the injectorsize? N was that at 15more psi? I cant remember, its been so long haha
Where did you get your turbo manifold ? I’ve been looking for some forums on this but I can’t find anything and I don’t wanna buy shit and have to send it back.
The g4js can handle a lot more it has forged internals there is another guy with a boosted sonata 4 cylinder same as yours but manual and has running 26 psi and evo front facing turbo and he opened the motor and found a few things like the fact it's all forged inside so it can handle more here's his ig tho check it out instagram.com/spinningall4?igshid=p4nv9zl7dqo0
whats even funnier is people buy ebay journal bearing turbos that come with a pin-needle sized oil restrictor for ball bearing turbos. And they wonder what causes shaft play. Drilled mine immediately .
