I'm still mad that they patched out spiderball tech (grapple in crab form). It was the most fun meme tech, especially with infinite grapple.

OW2 seems to have a similar thing where you can fireball while in crab form
It happens from time to time now, I think it's when you get CCd (usually happens to me after a rein pin) while in ball form, it looks very funky

After 1000+ hours on Wrecking ball I honestly don't place complete blame on spin to win players for the 6 second grapple nerf, rather the collaborative biases against ball indubitably.. All nerfs in history tunnel visioned players be like, "So over powered, he's too fast, I can't kill him with stuns.". Blizzard has an obligation to meet ALL needs.. Which is idiotic. I agree, spin to win is one of the most outdated techs, especially going in only one meaningless direction which can easily be countered by targeting a predictable circular moving target.

I'm new to overwatch (started in OW2) and have found ball to be easily the most fun and I'm now maining him like crazy. You mentioned spin to win being useless and I was just wondering if thats in every situation or if there are some situations where its worth doing I.E. delaying the enemy in overtime so your team can come back? or is there something better you should do in that scenario.
I think it’s better to waljump and come on and of point in this situation otherwise some dimness gonna hack you

So, is spinning to win just a bad tech in general or is it just frowned upon? I do it on some things like payload just to knock people off. I've always thought it's good for delaying and such.
are rev up and disco ball the same thing? also what about quick fireball?
I think you can keep your momentum with tightrope but I do agree it's a tech with very niche uses
It's a decent defence move to get behind cover. But real hamsters don't need defence moves as they plan their engagements ahead and never get supprised ^^

The thing is with rebound you have to time it right before the grapple stops your momentum wich you dont have a problem with hacker

after how many laps is it considered spin2win? or is it the percentage of your gameplay consisting of spinning only?
I would say both matter...
😂 as long as you keep winning it's spin2win, if not it's spin2loose.
It really depends what elo you are. Spinning can still get you in platin, but it could also feed the enemy dps like crazy and fuck up your own supports trying to heal you.
Blender is more usefull than you might thing:
It can do a LOT OF DAMAGE to the enemy team if they are grouped in a spot were you can blender... But, its more an occasional tech than A REAL TECH...
Listen - make each tech its own separate video. Great for content and a playlist.

If spin2win "is what got your grapple nerfed" (which yeah probably true lol) but what the heck did you need a permanent grapple for then??? Lol serious question...
Rollouts, spots, longer rebound chains and blenders or when u fall of the map and grapple at the last moment but you need more than 6s to get up
