Man I gotta say I loved living on campus during the quarantine. Everything was so nice and I feel like I was one with the campus and nature, not just a tiny little part of it.
That library building is like straight out of a Sims catalog

Dw, I think theres a good chance you'll get accepted so check if a better university accepted you, if not then try waiting until the end of april. If they still dont take you off the waitlist then go to a university that accepted you.
The capped major system of ucsd is really annoying so it's better to go somewhere safe

The Biochemistry program is top-notch and there's also on-campus animal research if you're interested.

Yes! There are several different specializations available based on what you're interested in and UCSD professors do some pretty cool research here as well.

well, yes its tough and no need for physics unless you are doing robotics. However, some colleges require you to take intro physics courses.

I like UCSD but idk about the competitive nature of it I heard it's pretty harsh and a good looking school but I don't want to kill my life with studying and not have a social life at all. I may not be an extrovert but I still want to have some friends
while it is competitive, u can choose the life u wanna live at UCSD.

im a senior in high school and can i get in UCSD with a 2.56 average GPA? or what should i do😭

To qualify for UC schools you must have at least a 3.0 gpa and a 3.4 if you’re out of state. If you really want to attend tho you can just go to a community college for 2 years completing your general education, then transfer to UCSD and immediately start studying your intended major. You save money if you do this and I think it’s easier to get admitted. I’m a senior too with a 3.6 gpa rn and I’m nervous as fuck 💀 hoping to get it to a 3.7 by the time we turn in our application tho

Go to a community college bro. Youll save like 55k. Honestly, you dont need to be there freshman or sophomore year (unless youre trying to get internships or research right away)

I transferred into UCSD and it's been a decent disappointment. It was my dream school since I was a kid and it is nothing like I expected. It feels isolating and cold, and the campus demographic is a bit.... skewed.
Skewed? I’m debating between UCSB and UCSD for transferring so can I ask what your thoughts are on UCSD so far as a transfer?
