carmy was so scary this ep. changing a menu everyday is mad. if it were every week, that’d be more of a compromise tbh! richie + carmy banter was hilarious
Even changing a dish a day would give their chefs 8-9 days to perfect each one, rather than always struggling to just keep up with Carmy's.... current condition.
Agree this felt more like the classic bear episode compared to the first ep also I love how quick you guys are putting these out appreciate it as always
i think it’s so stupid to change the menu every single day when they barely got through their opening night last season. a weekly change would’ve made more sense
It does turn heads and get them attention in the restaurant world, if that’s his goal. He wants to hunt for stars and recognition, so a complete daily menu change in that type of a restaurant run by a noteworthy chef like Carmy will definitely garner attention quickly. But there’s a reason almost all restaurants don’t do a different daily menu, the logistics of that is hard to pull off.
Carmy is bulldozing the restaurant and his uncompromising efforts are belittling Syd’s partner role in the kitchen. It went from them collaborating on dishes to him just steamrolling HIS recipes and not appreciating Syd’s stake. This season is Carmy’s villain era. 😂
No villain era, it’s HIS RESTAURANT, it’s HIS FAMILY’S RESTAURANT, it’s HIS UNCLE’S MONEY, Camry is the one who will LOSE everything if this doesn’t work out, Sydney literally can go to any other restaurant (and the littler traitor/true villain is) This so called “partnership” is literally NOTHING, she did NOG contribute capital/money NOR connections that was ALL Camry setting up the staff with the right people who elevated them, she did NOT contribute one recipe since forever She’s NOTHING more than another employee
@@bvainkidd I just find it hilarious that's she's like Sydney contributed no recipes when literally in this episode she was annoyed that Carmy changed all her shit without any consultation. That Carmy was fucking around last season while she was literally doing fieldwork to build a menu. She floated the chaos menu which Camry threw out then towards the end of the season was like chaos menu but special. She consistently had to deal with major parts of running the restaurant last season cause Carmy was unfocused. Sydney has her problems as a person but she has been all in on the improvement of the restaurant since the day she got there with her scrap book of ideas ready. This person must have watching the show at 4x speed and there Tiktok fancam edits.
Carmy has the focus of a genius. Unfortunately most people like that have trouble communicating, so Sydney is his translator. Also Marcus can understand some of it too
Also carmy is so goddamn annoying this season with this nonnegotiable shit and being in control it’s so annoying. I know it makes the restaurant better but he’s so mean to Sydney and everyone else I can’t sympathize
@@jac1207 I really don’t care abt that tbh. You can understand the success and still be annoyed at him, almost every fan who watches is lol. He was being a dick and it shows. And tbh in the end the review they get means the restaurant ended up NOT being a success anyways
I have actually never seen a show root against their own main character as much as this show does. I feel like they disrespect Carmy way too much. Richie also needed to apologize. He acts as if he didn’t start that by calling Carmy Donna first knowing his mom is a trigger. Sydney is someone that just annoys me as a character because they write her as someone who we’re supposed to believe her word as gospel but why does she get a say in anything. She’s not an owner in any of this and especially as the season goes on that shows. When the going got tough on something she caused she ran and she was just let back in no consequences but Carmy has to be held accountable for everything. I just feel like they don’t give Carmy enough grace as a character that’s not perfect. They expect him to have his shit together as if any of these characters do.
I’m sorry yall but Claire is WONDERBREAD!!! She’s so boring ugh. It’s such a used storyline yk and I do ship sydcarmy but this season just didn’t feel all the way done. Claire needs to be thrown out she brings nothing to the show
@@yasminemixon9340 it’s so genuinely frustrating because they give us barely anything and then continue to push it and Ik a lot of ppl ship the two main people a lot but Sydcarmy is really cute and I wouldn’t be mad at it tbh I’m just tired of Claire 😭
If you ship sydcarmy then you are MISSING the WHOLE point of this show, you hate carmy and could NOT care less about him and you are NOT seeing all the RED FLAGS that Sydney has

Carmy is deep in that “if I keep my body moving and my mind occupied at all times I will avoid falling into a pit of despair” mindset right now lol
exactly. it's even MORE uncomfortable to watch when you can relate (2022-2023 me def can lmfaoooo)
7:24; Sydney is like....OKAY so I am mediating an argument between two grown man acting like teenagers.
That's Cool.

Yea every week makes more sense at first. Then if you want to scale back to every day you can do that once you master the weekly

I appreciated the calm episode 1 just dipping us back into chaotic waters of The Bear before we dove face first back into the deep end with episode 2
And then episode 3 comes in and you start feeling like youre drowning 😭

the chaos of The Faks is one of my favorite parts of this season.
not this show making me cry in episode 2. boy are we in for a ride

She is NOT his translator, she is NOT even close to it in any shape or form
I miss zuff soo much
Did you guys notice the cobra kai reference from Richie? "Fear does not exist in this dojo" made me giggle. Have you guys watched cobra kai 👀
I thought the glimpse into the Chicago restaurants was really neat. Tried to find online if those are the real staffs featured, I think they are
That was a little low lmfaooo I love Richie
I wonder what you guys will think of it at the end. I finished it yesterday but it took a bit… I feel like it wasn’t that great
Awesome reaction of my favorite The Bear episode!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊

Yasss that’s exactly what I said about this episode. We were back to basics with this one! Love your reactions ❤️
