I love the yellow morph/mutation of this parakeet. So cute. Also congrats on covering all of NZ’s birds! Can’t wait for the Kiwi video to come out eventually!
Wow, it's hard to believe that we are now near the end of this lovely series. As someone who greatly cares for NZ's bird fauna, and being a keen wildlife photographer, I have really enjoyed this series!😊 Might you ever consider making videos about some of NZ's ancient fossil birds, such as the basal penguin Waimanu, or the ancestral kiwi Proapyeryx, etc? It would be amazing to see some videos about our paleo bird fauna!😃
I've been following this series since the very beginning and it's really going to feel weird without a New Zealand-Bird-Of-The-Week in my notifications anymore. 😢 It was fun while it lasted and I wish you great success in your new projects, whenever that will be. 😉
A unique things about kakarikis is they can do a kangaroo like hop rather than waddling like other parrots and they can get really fast along the ground without flying, I think (I may be wrong) that they are the only parrots that do this Thanks for the videos!
Wow. I knew someday you'd reach the end, I just didn't know it would come so soon. It's been a hell of a ride learning about all the birds of New Zealand.
Already subscribed, but good luck on reaching 100k! I'm sure the milestone will be reached sooner than you expect while also giving you enough time to prepare a great Kiwi video as the grand finale! I also look forward to learning more about the bird with one of the longest (previously credited as _the_ longest) annual migrations. Finally, great job on this video! I'm glad these parakeets are doing fairly well and hope the same can be said soon for some of the more endangered New Zealand birds.
Well, I'm a fourth-year, going on fifth-year zoology student, so certainly more than the average person. I'm not a researcher or anything like that though. :)
Bright & Breezy Bird :) Sooty has a 50/50 chance of being the next NZBOTW Hope 100,000 subscribers will be soon so we. finally see KIWI on your channel. Good Luck Henry :)
How about some other birds that may not be native to New Zealand, but like to use New Zealand as a winter stop off or nesting purposes. Or do a series about dinosaurs that people may not have heard of etc.
@@Crocy a Well, I've already voted for imposing just ONE Earthly time zone which, obviously, will simplify EVERYthing for me. Anyway, it's obvious why he'd betray me this way; he did it for those damned Americans of his! Oh, I see it! I see what he's been all about!
What!? Every bird in NZ? That's amazing! Well done!
After he is done, he will do every bird in colombia and then retire at the age of 99
XD
Cute little bids.
They sure are!

It's crazy to finally reach it. I'm sure 100K won't take too long, surely in 2024 if all goes well. :) Thanks for sticking with it over the years too!
I had one, my girl Kauri was a happy active bird. Unfortunately, she died from some illness

New zealand herp of the week next?
Time to move on and classify all species of birds in colombia, all 1869 different species.
Well, I'd probably just limit that to endemics in that case, lol.
Henry the paleoguy are you an expert in biology?

A pleasant bird.
Inconsequential next to the majesty and splendor of the pūteketeke.
They are also very glorious!
A deserved win for Bird of the Year given how underrated they are.
Nice birds and congrats on the final completion of the series. :)

Not every bird. Still missing the Kiwi. Oh so waiting to reach 100K subscribers. And you're at almost 90K.
Hopefully shouldn't be too long of a wait if things go well. :) Be sure to share it around to get a little closer if you haven't already. :)
I've done my best to do so.
What are you even doin', uploading and THIS hour?!
The world has different timezones, it's middle of the day for some people
