Hahaha. We lived in East LA between 1955&1961 & my pals & I would walk to that River & play a& catch tadpoles. One day I caught so many they filled up the bathroom sink, the kitchen sink & ?? I just remember one or 2 we're almost frogs & when my mother came home from work she wasn't as excited as I was. I still laugh when I think of that. I'd bring all kinds of living things home. Lizzards from school. I was 5 yrs old when we moved to ELA. No kayaks then, just green & black stuff in there. Thanks for the memory.
