Im just awestruck by the existence of this tribute dance...from the hilarious but graceful choreography to the deep honor it represents... the dance is almost as groundbreaking as an artistic statement as JLD's comedic work was... It's truly an offering of love...
This may be one of the best, most salient dance routines I've ever seen at an awards ceremony. I only wish they'd made a separate video of JLD's reaction to it. I imagine it really genuinely made her bust up.
@@abe443 oh crap! She hasn't! You're totally right, sorry internet! :( Ok so she really should make an appearance on Broad City especially since it'll be the last season...
@@gargantuaismgenerally, the word “literally” is used when adding emphasis to something that means a lot to someone. It is a colloquial term, you are correct in that sense. LOVED this! They totally smashed this dance! Nailed it! What an honor for Julia. Her epic dance will be remembered by all Seinfeld fans. She was one of my favorites, along with Kramer. 💜💕❤️
Elaine Kramer and George totally made that show. Watching reruns I notice that Jerry really wasn't that great. That show would have bombed without the extremely talented cast!
It’s times like this that make me realize how much important Abbi and Ilana are ! What pair do you know that would do soemthing this out of the box ? Truly icons
LOL the idea of teaching the Elaine dance to a professional dance group was hilarious. It might have been even funnier if the didn't introduce it as hideous but as unique or revolutionary.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful bit of comedy from the Broad City Women to honor Julia Louis Dreyfus. That's the way l like to see women praise eachother. Funny!😍😘😄😅😆😍😘🤗
The Julia dance will never be forgotten. It will stand the test of time. It is up there with the soup nazi, the puffy shirt, and the Kramer, George, whale and golf ball. ....and so many more. Another great episode not associated with Seinfeld, is WKRP's wondrous, "As God is my witness, I thought turkey's could fly" episode
Well, telling by the only shot of JLD earlier in this clip, I can imagine there were no reactions worth airing. Geez, I would have shown more of the audience, they clearly were getting it.
They actually had people dance freely and that is insane because people don't break who they are oftenly and these women/ people did that in such an honest way
Just delightful. Where would we be without the arts? Say it again… Where would we be without the arts? Please help fund arts programs for our children. It is very important for a well rounded society.
Let's film a show about a celebrity, then do something that was "funny" based on what that celebrity is known for.. and NOT show that celebrity react to it as its happening. Honestly, she didnt look too happy to be there in the first place. Anyway, this was great.
Julia, was given a script to do this "Kick-Jerk-head" type of dance on Seinfeld! In all honesty? I don't think they should've done this on Julia's big night! When Julia was giving her speech if she wanted to incorporate this dance has part of her great speech? I'd rather watch her do this dance & no one else. There's so much more about Julia, that could've been said or done onstage other than this dance for a tribute to her! Julia's a "Class-Act!" She's placed millions of smiles on many faces throughout her career on & off the screen! I respect her has a very "Talented, Charming, Witty, Beautiful & Funny Human Being! God Bless You Julia! You're So Deserving of this award! XO (Julia's Speech was Outstanding!)
I so badly wanted the camera to go to JLD!! I wanted to see her reaction!
Yeeeees!!
Right like who the hell filmed produced and edited this without her reaction it’s useless!
I WATCHED THE WHILE THING JUST FOR THE REACC
It probably was not good. Hence why they don't cut to her
@@yopk6865 Hhmmm......do you think she was offended? It was funny and cheeky, but JLD has always seemed uptight to me. Cheers.
One of my fondest memories is of my mother laughing hysterically at the Elaine dance. 5 minutes of non-stop joy.
The idea of that made me laugh. 😂

The audience getting into it helped bring that bit home. Was anyone aware how intensely well produced the Mark Twain Awards are now?
This may be one of the best, most salient dance routines I've ever seen at an awards ceremony. I only wish they'd made a separate video of JLD's reaction to it. I imagine it really genuinely made her bust up.
Seeing someone use the word salient in a comment brings me more joy than this dance routine.
Had to google salient.
I think they didn’t cut to her for a reason. Like, the one time she did she looked pissed.
I love how they cover not only the Elaine dance but other things she did like you stole my Jesus fish and the shove.
They seem so much fun to hang out with, I miss their show
That actually gave me goosebumps
Julia needs to be in Broad City!!!!!!!!!
I feel like she is, in a sense
She has! Made a cameo with Tina Fey, its really funny
modernlover0rosalyn Are you thinking of last fuckable day from Inside Amy Schumer?
@@abe443 oh crap! She hasn't! You're totally right, sorry internet! :( Ok so she really should make an appearance on Broad City especially since it'll be the last season...
Too late. Never gonna happen.
I literally cannot wait to see what these 2 talents do next after broad city.
You had to use the word "literally" in that sentence? What did that add?
@@gargantuaism your reply didn’t add anything either sherlock

I am so excited about that, as well!
This is exactly where that saying comes in. Practice makes perfect. And it did! 😊👍 👏👏👏👏👏
Those two are so amazing they make me want to cry
I actually did cry. Hilariousness + Dance?! Incredible!
Dani really? I don't see it.
Gosh this makes me really want the new/last season of Broad City even more.
Child0fMercury Yeah they’re done filming it but i think it’s the last one :,,,))
I thought season 5 was last. I likes that show. Really funny. Way better than sex in the city.
I cannot see the pepe... aayyy!! Lmbo!!!

This just popped up from 5 years ago and it is all that I have been missing from my life!
LOL the idea of teaching the Elaine dance to a professional dance group was hilarious. It might have been even funnier if the didn't introduce it as hideous but as unique or revolutionary.
These two need to host the OSCARS! These are our hosts!
Loved it, those 4 bass notes on 3:27 were spot on.
I need a studio recorded version of this music in my playlist. Like, damn.
This is truly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
how could you not show JLD's reaction to this!!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful bit of comedy from the Broad City Women to honor Julia Louis Dreyfus. That's the way l like to see women praise eachother. Funny!😍😘😄😅😆😍😘🤗
I love you Broad City you girls brought your pitch perfect comedy style to a live... wait... dance routine... wha... damn... can't stop lolling...
3:26 Love that little Seinfeld-like bass riff. This was so great!!
It was very subtle
Slap bass= Seinfeld. Got it
Amazing gift to one of the best actresses
Perfect. I have watched shows just for Julia, she made shows worth watching and this was a tribute many could love.
Oddly touching 💜
wow this was epic! they made the dance look good almost lol. loved the audience getting involved too :)
WOW! That was amazing! What a beautiful way to honor her. ❤
This is what real fandom is supposed to look like. Where are JLD's reactions, though?
Murilo Melo they would have showed it if she was enjoying it I think
Yeah so weird, this was great but missing something with no reactions

Loved the audience members doing to Elaine dance!
I almost cried, this was so awesome. queens! Yaaass

this is actually brilliant... truly comedic genius.
The best content I am going to see today. I love them.
Thank you for loading this!!! I was going to look for it!!
I want to cry, laugh and dance ALL AT THE SAME TIIIMMMMEEEEE
"Ughh. Was it all spastic? With the thumbs and the jerking?"
- Jerry to George in that episode 🤣
"Elaine dance?! Did she do the little kicks with the thumbs?"
It’s like a full body dry heave set to music
So beautiful!
Glad to see the gals again...
This is the greatest tribute possible.
They actually had people dance freely and that is insane because people don't break who they are oftenly and these women/ people did that in such an honest way
I was waiting for them to pan the camera back to show that Julie had left to use the restroom
This is the best video I have ever seen.
Fucking brilliant, perfect tribute, I love you both!! Cant wait to see what the future holds for you two :D
I had a terrible day 😂 and it was all worth it thanks to this video
Ilana and Abbi killed it!
wow, i expected a funny sketch but they hit with a modern dance masterpiece! great
That was some BIG FUNNY. Wonderful! I’m happy!

Surprised myself by tearing up pretty hard with glee & sentiment!
These KWEEEEENS can do ANYTHING!
This was supremely stupid but it made me laugh. I think that's exactly what they were going for! Well executed! 😆
So many levels of Great 👍🏻
Something like this only works if you fully commit to it, just amazing
These ladies are the best!
I was waiting for the "here's your Christmas card" move hehe
Abbi and Illana are he present and future of comedy.
i love JLD and I love those gals, what a beautiful gift
Amazing, like a sunrise
That was art.
This is why Broad City is so fabulous 💋😍
3:20 is absolutely priceless 😂😂😂 Ilana all impressed by the pro dancers and forgets she's a part of the show.. amazing
This was fantastic!
Ilana Glazer is such a babe. This was well done
i love how comedy actors have no shame
Why did I shed a tear
Julia Louis-Dreyfus' dance is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Wow.... did this just happen to me right now lol?!??! Hilarious perfection.
This was amazing 👌🏾
I could tell some people were uncomfortable with this...which made it even better🤣
This was abso-freaking-lutely amazing!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Would’ve love to see Julia’s reactions

She didn't look happy to be there? Wow. Jeez. Maybe that's just her face eh? She almost cried during her acceptance - twice.
Watch the rest of the show she was loving it
That was hysterical
but why did this make me cry
Because the music score was well done?
Best thing on the internet!
SO. GOOD. THANK YOU, EVERYONE INVOLVED.
such a iconic dance
Truly ICONIC
I love these girls. I'm so heartbroken Broad City ended
Izaya Rasher me too !

This is glorious
i got all teary!!! this was magnificent!!!!
This made me cry for some reason
This is love.
Ilana is so funny and so beautiful.
At 3:36 when ol' girl that move with her hips. Shit was the most beautifully awkward move 😂 I love professional dancers. Nice job y'all
These 2 just appear onscreen & I start CTFU! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder if my son was subtly commenting on my own dance moves when he sent this link.
I love this so much
