Looks a Solid bike 🚴 Guy can't wait for the Test review outside 👍
Excellent review! Thank you
Great content and well done Kevin ;)
Just bought the Waves edition of the bike, can’t wait to get out in it
Can confirm the habit is a very playful bike! I sized down to a medium at 5’10 as I wanted playful and the seat tube is a bit long for the sizes and I’ve got stubby legs. Only downside on the carbon frames is the pressfit bb creaks like an old barn door after a few rides! Kinda wish I went for ally!
Ally still creek as does the rear shock anchor points
Love the Rockshox 35 that came with my Trek Remedy 7. Just wish I could upgrade it to the new Debonair 2!
Thanks for the info! I’m in the market for a new bike- habit 5 is top of the list so far..
No worries. Just written up the review for www.bikeperfect.com so keep checking on there for it going live 👍🏻
Never knew fox made a 35 😂
The more you know
HI, when the Habit is stated as an “Aggro MTB” does that mean its only good for downhill? Would it suit climbing, and an older rider? Or is the geometry too aggressive?
you can change the geometry of the bicycle having 29er?
Hi Guy may I ask what kind of bike stand you use? Cheers
Hello. What is the best frame size for a height of 175 cm?
Literally made it a technical job just to change the rear wheel out, are they mad?
Is there any difference between that and the cannondale 4?
does the frame get a lifetime warranty?
Anyone know if you Can put a 150mm rear shock on a habit?
Ohh that's rather nice.
I am looking for the dimensions of the rear wheel axle please for Cannondale habit 5 2020
What size is the frame
where can you buy these
11.15 - nice product placement for On-One there 😉
Paul Mulryne LOL, least it wasn’t something you’re not supposed to have seen yet!
it's silhouette looks like Polygon's Siskiu D7 as well as the Calibre Bossnut because of its four bar, perhaps manufacturer has figured it out how to make affordable full sus at that price range
I'm a keen road biker but looking to get a mountain bike and there is one of these available in Large. I am literally slap bang in between the sizes for L and XL on the guide. Do I just go for it or continue the soul-destroying task of trying to find another mountain bike in that price range?
Hi Harry, how tall are you, or even better what saddle height do you run from centre of BB axle to top of saddle? Also what sort of riding do you want to do?
@@GuyKesTV Thanks for the reply. I'm 183.5 cm and BB to saddle is 76cm on my road bike. I live in Snowdonia - just want to have some fun on the local trails. Nothing too serious!
@@harrypemberton4627 You're about 3cm taller than me but only 1.5cm higher on the saddle so you'll be fine on a large and the Habit is a great all rounder for somewhere properly challenging like Snowdonia. Super easy to set up the suspension etc. as well which is a big help if you're new to all that.
@@GuyKesTV I’ll go for it then. Thanks for your help, very much appreciated!
Would love to see a review on a Cannondale scalpel
Lindon and Lisa OK I’ll ask them. Not ridden one for a couple of years.
@@GuyKesTV thanks for that I'm in the market for a new xc bike and it on my list I live in Wagga Wagga Australia and loved you review on the highball but don't think I can live with a hard tail I'm too old 45 and it rough here cheers
Lindon and Lisa do you watch Wil Barrett’s stuff on Flow? He’s a great bloke and does a bunch of XC stuff in Aus.
@@GuyKesTV yes I do but I like the way you do the reviews and I trust your opinion to be honest
@@lindonandlisa8114 haha thanks but you can trust Wil too, been on a few launches with him and he's definitely one of the good guys 👊🏻 Annoyingly quick on a climb though, he proper hurt me on the Blur trip!
At the start of the video I said to myself, "Cannondale, making new sh*tty standards since '71". So ummm, yeah, 4:30. 😂. And I wish Sram would stop forcing companies to spec SX. My NX 11spd derailleur blew up completely on my Triple B, although after 10 months of flawless use, and I now run a 10 speed XT mech with a Sram 1:1 9 speed shifter, less gears but takes some weight off the axle and has been super reliable. Shimano's rebuildable and adjustable clutch is awesome, and 9 speed parts are dirt cheap (why do we still pay a huge premium for 11 speed?). Anyway, I'd prefer Deore over any SX or NX, Deore is absolutely awesome, and SLX 11 speed has been ridiculously good in my experience. Anyway yeah, I wish bikes would come with Deore 10 speed, but then better suspension etc as they are so expensive to upgrade later and as drivetrain components are essentially consumables.

SRAM is overpriced underperforming trash. Gimme Shimano every day of the week!
Only new to mtb but I Noticed a lot comments about sram sx nx not that good but hard GX is a lot better one but find Shimano on expensive bikes over $5k aus me fuel ex 8 for spec
Typical US bike, low-value high-margin. Jizzz they even removed the tension pulley wheel on the rear derailleur in SX! When XX1 weighs 1545gr this SX weighs 2300gr! Thats almost 1kg heavier on drivetrain! Insane!
15.7kg is crazy. The AL frame must be MUCH heavier than the carbon frame.
Yes absolutely. It's a nice bike though but I'd like to know which is the frame weight... 4kg?! More than a downhill bike. There's something hidden i guess. I'd say the weight is not a customer evaluation parameter anymore, so bike companies said, ok we're going to build tank frame that will never brake and we save money.
Is habit 6 better the. Habit 5????? Plz answer
Alexandru Stroescu no Habit 6 is the cheapest bike. Fork and tyres aren’t as good and it doesn’t have a dropper post.
Guy Kesteven ok thanks 😊
Nice bike but that seat tube welding is horrific!
The lefty still disturbs me, just looked soooo wrong..
Beware: Read Cannondale’s fine print in their Warranty Policy. They may use it against you for their best interest. My $5000.000 carbon fiber frame Jekyll broke after six years of use. Cannondale never made a finding that it was due to use or abuse. A hairline crack formed at a weak point in the frame. The bike was sold to me with a lifetime warranty on the frame. The best offer Cannondale gave me, under their lifetime warranty, was 20% off of retail - yes, that's right 20% off of retail. I fought them on it over a two month period and lost. So, I am now stuck with a 34lb paperweight. Cannondale has what I feel is the worse warranty in the bike business. If you do purchase a Cannondale bike and something goes wrong, know that they probably will not work with you at any level in your best interest. In my opinion, they do do not value you as a customer, they only value your money. This has been my experience.
Haha I didn’t force you to get one
But I'm very glad you suggested I use the one I had!
Fox 35???
Oh I didn't did I? Seriously the amount of editing this took and it's still rubbish. I AM NEVER DOING ANY FILMING AFTER MIDNIGHT EVER AGAIN. 🤦🏼♂️
@@GuyKesTV it definitely isn't rubbish! You said it so convincingly that I had to replay 3 times to make I sure I had heard you correctly :-D
But I do agree with you that you shouldn't still be working at that hour of the day!
Keep up the good work :-)
I actually thought it was a new fork I wasn't familiar with ha
$4K here in Australia with SX vs $3100 for a Merida with NX and a Sektor... Cannondale are still poor value.
mudbutton2 Merida absolutely kill it with pricing in Aus. Do you get Norco out there?
@@GuyKesTV Yes mate. My local Merida dealer sells Norco too. I ended up with the Merida One Twenty Nine 600 and quite like it.
Do you get to keep these bikes 😂....?
No, I move right onto the next one soon as possible and the test bikes get sent back to go onto demo fleets.
Those brakes are rubish. For a bike like that it is just not enough. The bikes looks realy cheap. Canyon and YT just crush these categories.
