- Dustin Reed @dpatrickreed has a nearly 50/50 weight distribution on his 1972 700hp C10. Technically it's 52/48 currently but Dustin has plans to change that here shortly without bolting some led to the bed. Dustin is not active on social media so a lot of people may not know this truck even exists. Hell, I didn't even know until I saw it at an event last November. Here is just another example of once bagged show truck that was transformed into a competitive pro-touring truck. I hope you enjoy the video.

Loving the videos, keep them coming! This truck looks fast.
Level 7 Motorsports thanks guys. I’m trying
Dude is completely stoic and monotone for nearly twelve minutes. Only cracks a smile when he talks about speed and noise. Love it!
I’m not sure he was to thrilled to be on camera
Can just see the excitement on his face
Rear tires rubbing on the rear lower coil over mount bolt. Some one let the guy know. Beautiful build.
I’ll send him the video. Should be an easy fix. Thanks Marcus
I was watching the same thing!
Noticed that too, looks like it all flexes enough to touch the wheel too.
I was about to say the same thing!
That rear view of the Rear tire flexing around the corners to get the grip was pretty cool that thing is hooking .
That’s why I like adding cameras underneath. You get to see what’s really going on.
Looks like it is rubbing the shock bolt.
jesus this video really shows it all, the rear lower shock mount bolt rubbing the tire in the turns is crazy! never thought those tires would give like that
He’s aware of the issue and will have that fixed before any events this year.
Thank you for a great video ! Im working on my third flat out Engineering kit!!
It was kind of a spur of the moment video. He’s upgraded even more since this came out
Nice chassis cam shots. Neat to see the sparks off the rotors at 6:15
I try to add chassis footage to all my pro touring reviews
Wow, that truck is so flat in the turns! Great build and great video.
Thank You
Wish we were neighbors
So much respect. I'm $120K into a C10 show truck and now autocross hooked. Selling now and can't wait to build my pro-touring truck! Love the vid!
Thanks
When I was watching that footage of the driving, I thought it looked like Clayton road/marsh Creek road. When he said the shop was in pleasant hill, I knew I was right..
We actually got pulled over by the cops. Not because we were doing anything illegal but because it’s soooo loud.
Another killer c10, it looks like it costs big
$$ to be competitive now.
It was not cheap and he has more plans for the C10 this year. Thats why I’m behind the camera
Dream truck to me
Very Bad Ass Set Up Beautiful Truck bro Nice Job..
Wow ilike your c10 and the suspension work you got alot of perform in there. Tanks to you now iknow how make more performable mi suspencion I strat to make mi own drift malibu 78 tanks for the help man 👍🎯
Dope truck 👍🏼
Beautiful truck!! Trying to give my 85 that pro touring look.. sure in the heck doesn’t handle like one though 😂
Well having corvette suspension components underneath sure does help things a bunch too
Sweet truck
I got one almost just like it except mines baby blue and 1978 c10 and a nos tank in the bed
Nice build! Could you share curb weight? Thanks!
I’ll have to ask him as he’s since added IRS to it since this video was shot
Badass truck
Epic video - really enjoyed the chassis cam and detailed overview. Were you filming on Redwood Rd or Calaveras? Mostly a two wheeled moto guy but totally appreciate what you've created! If I see you in the rear view mirror don't worry, I'll pull over PDQ to let ya pass! Beautiful truck.
Honestly I’m not sure where I filmed it. I flew up to visit my friends near Pleasant Hill, CA and they basically told me to follow. I’m just bummed because I ran out of daylight to shoot.
Put that bad boy on autotopia
I’m sure it will at some point
Sheez!! this trucks awesome!!
BTW great video.
I appreciate it. Thanks
Boa tarde congrats Dustin Reed carros 700 Hp c-4 Corvette equippd 1972 pro- touring C-10 vai amén trabalho carros 2023 bom 💪🏾👍🏾
wonder what tire pressure lot more sidewall flex than i expected
Very Cool! Interesting he has owned it 21 years. I have owned my '66 F100 a week shy of 21 years. I would be interested in how much this C10 Weighs?
3400lbs
@@bellshorts7717 Thanks! Light for a “truck”
Awesome video and cool truck! You might want to check your mic audio for clipping during capture and shoot in 60+fps for those slowmos - it got a little jittery at the beginning. Content and story are on point though. I can't wait to see what you have in store for LSXbody!
Thanks, I just got a new camera as the A6400 I was shooting with for the C10 would no longer keep focus or focus at all. I picked up the new A7S iii which I shot the LSX body with but I’m still learning all the settings and some settings I thought I had saved I did not. It’s all a leaning process so they should continue to get better. I hope
@@315squared4 Awesome!!! I'm seriously eying the A7siii also. The AF system is awesome and who can argue with 4k/120fps??? Not to mention the low light. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
I’m all trial by error. Hopefully I learn from my mistakes and keep making cool content. Had to buy a new lens too since this was full frame so not a cheap investment that’s for sure. I’m trying that’s all I can say
@@315squared4 No kidding! I'm looking at the 24-70 f2.8 GM. $2k OMG
LOVE it!
Thank You
Nice truck ❤🎉😊
What is the Paint color code?? I want to use on my Monte but a little darker
I’ll have to ask him and see if he even knows
What makes the TurnOne power steering pump better ? , and do you tear up front wheel bearings ? I am having a hard time finding good bearings . Love the truck .
i bet this truck would make some very expensive exotics cry
Love the truck, but thats like having a speed boat on a pond. Bring it out to a 2-3 mile track, you will be able to use more than 10% of the truck.
I’d say he’d totally be down to stretching its legs once he gets it sorted out.
Winning🤟🏾😁😁😁🔥🔥🔥
Sweet ride! Just wondering if he ever got a Camaro...
I’m not sure actually
@@315squared4 it's fine. Great content BTW. Your videos just popped up in my recommendations.
@@Kevin.7. thanks, that’s good to know. Glad you’re enjoying the content
I have a 2wd 83' swb. N. California truck no rust. Primer. T10 performance 4spd that sits behind a POS weak and tired, and already weak.... 305 😠 ... California... A holes. Only way I can do a "LS swap" is make it what the diner vehicle is, (i.e 2004 GMC Yukon Denali) ... You have to put EVERYTHING FROM EMISSIONS all the way down to factory charcoal filter. You need to put a separate, AND "MARKED", check engine light.... THEN!! You take it to REF! If it doesn't look like a disguised Denali 100% to that person, (their discretion)... I want to do it so bad... But looking for house to buy...
LS swap the world
Register it in GA
There has to be a way around it. Find someone with a post '75 hot rod and talk to them.
Nice truck! Looks like the dr side motor mount is broke??
That could be. I’ll reach out to him and let him know. He’s not very active on social media
Just the 600+ lbs of torque twisting her up...solid mounts going in next week actually...as if she wasn't stiff enough already
Speachles
Is this a long bed c10 ?
Nope. It’s a short bed
I’m subed
What size tires are those?
I’m not sure what size tire he’s running now as he has since installed an IRS in the rear. I think they’re pretty meaty around 345’s in the rear

Uno quiere ver la camioneta,no un tipo hablando, por más que sea el dueño.
To much cannabis to start the vid? Cmon sleepy, have a another brownie and wake up.
