Hands-On with the New Monk DLC Character in DNF Duel
I recently had the chance to take the new Monk DLC character for a spin in an arcade playthrough of DNF Duel. As the fourth DLC fighter to join the roster, Monk is shaping up to be a formidable addition to the fast-paced 2D fighting game.
Described as a "holy warrior that fights primarily with his fists," Monk's moveset is centered around up-close, rush-down style attacks. From the gameplay footage, Monk appears to excel at quickly closing the distance on opponents and unleashing brutal combos and juggling potential.
His rush attacks help him get in the face of foes, as fighting at range seems to be a weakness for this character. Monk can also leverage his various combo strings and pressure-heavy moves to keep opponents on the defensive.
During my arcade session, I found Monk to be a refreshing change of pace from some of the more zoning or grapple-focused characters in the DNF Duel roster. His fast-paced, in-your-face playstyle demanded that I be aggressive and constantly look for openings to unleash his punishing close-range attacks.
Mastering Monk's ability to seamlessly transition between his rush-down options and more technical combo routes will likely be key to unlocking his full potential. The character seems designed to reward players who maintain that relentless offensive momentum.
Overall, the addition of Monk excites me to dive back into DNF Duel and see how he fares against the rest of the cast. His unique fighting style and combo potential make him a compelling new DLC character for fans of the game's intense 2D combat.
In addition to diving into the new Monk DLC character, this latest arcade session with DNF Duel marked the first time I've had the chance to use my trusty PXN fight stick. Let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of exhilarating.

DNFDuel foi desenvolvido para falhar. Devido ao atraso nos patches e dlc. O jogo não foi bem recebido pela comunidade de jogos de luta. Online ainda está disponível, mas você vai ter dificuldade em encontrar partidas.
