    I shoot all of my CZ’s off hand so I’m really ok with the 5 round mags. I seek out the older steel mags from the 452’s and I leave that plastic junk in the drawer. Great review and very informative and I’m sure really helpful for new shooter and that is what we need. Get the next generation going. Thanks again great job.

    Articulate and informative! A+. Subscribed. Just bought one of these. Can’t shoot it until next week, though. ☹️

    Just ordered the 457 Jaguar from Buds. Waiting for it to get to my ffl. If it shoots half as well as my 455 I will be ecstatic. Great video!

    I remember when you first asked me what I thought of these guns and that you had said rid a lot of good things on them but they were kind of ugly to you
    I told you they were great guns as I have a few of them an ugly shoots real well!
    Every CZ rifle I've ever shot has out performed your standard rifles I love mine and the more you shoot yours you'll come to love it also.
    And the fact that they have switch Barrel capabilities is awesome.

    For what it’s worth. I did find some replacement mags at Cabelas. Yes they were expensive but mine are metal and well made. Having said that I have a 10 round that won’t feed

    Nice taste. I ended up obtaining a CZ 455 Training Rifle a few years ago and absolutely love it. It’s one of the few bolt actions where being left handed doesn’t make it a pain to cycle, and I take it along with the 10/22 on almost every range outing because .22 is just that affordable and easy to shoot.
    If your having trouble finding magazines, take a look at cz-parts.com. Also if your in the Phoenix area take a look at Ted’s Shooting Range in Queen Creek, I’m pretty sure they still keep a healthy stock of CZ firearms and magazines on the shelf.

      I tried CZ parts but they are based in Europe so the shipping and wait times wouldve added up to what I could source in the US so the point was moot really
      I am based in Tucson though, so next time I go up to Phoenix I'll be sure to stop by there and see what they got, always happy to patron local and small business

    I just picked up one. The trigger is set up perfect out of the box, very light. Looking forward to trying it at the range. If I shoot it well at 100 yards, I'll be taking it out to 220. I love the rear sight, one of the many features that I absolutely love about it.

    • @shazarad4127
      @shazarad4127  3 года назад +2

      I found the rear sight is closely calibrated for high velocity ammo. When I use subsonic or standard velocity ammo, I have to make adjustments to the rear sight, typically a lot higher than what is marked on the sight itself. I made a range card for myself and what rear sight level to use with different ammo types at different ranges. You will probably find the same, but it doesnt take very long at all to find out where the gun will hit at certain distances, at certain rear sight settings, with certain ammo types

    Loved the review and video. No editing, no stupid intro clip.
    Crazy that you got it for $450 out the door.
    Shop Im thinking about getting mine from is $450 pre-tax and fees, and doesn't come with the extra barrel.

      im glad you noticed, I simply got tired of the usual gun channel intro this, intro that, edit there with rock music etc...
      like, just talk about the dang gun already you know?

    Great review of a great rifle, am looking at one but hear in Canada they want 799.99 for one. Like the Jaguar with the longer barrel but that is 859.99 so not not to much more. Will have to see if I can get mags. for it, not much use of having the rifle if can not get mags. At 75 on cold days like to load my mags inside. I do like the 5 round mags. as I shoot 5 round groups, But with a bold action 10 will work, but a pain in the but with a semi Thanks for the review, should of shown some of your targets. In my bolt rifles I shoot CCI Standard Velocity but in the semi go with CCI Mini Mag. One very nice rifle if you like long barrels is the Savage 110 Varmint .223 Rem. Has a 26" heavy barrel and is very accurate.

    Thank you for comparing against the RAR because that one was previously number one on my wanted list but now I think it’s the CZ. Did you see accuracy problems with the RAR?

    • @shazarad4127
      @shazarad4127  3 года назад +1

      None at all, with a simple 1.5x-4x scope on the RAR I was getting around 1.2-1.5 inches at 100 yards with federal bulk ammo
      at 50 yards it was also hole in hole accuracy if you take your time but the CZ makes it way easier and is much more consistent with its accuracy over the RAR
      the RAR irons are not as nice as the CZ either, sure they have fiber optics but the front sight post is also very large and the rear sight is the traditional semi-buckhorn style you see on a lot of 10/22 rifles, which is to say, not very great but useable
      I would go with the CZ over the RAR most everytime, except for magazine availability since the RAR uses 10/22 mags which come in all sizes and are available everywhere

      I have a Ruger American AND the CZ457 trainer. I love the wood stock, action and interchagable barrel system it is a SMOOTH action. I haven't tried it out yet. I DID use the Ruger for indoor league bullseye shooting this year. There are two classes optic and iron sight. I entered in iron sight, the green fiber optic front sight and the white diamond rear was perfect against a black bullseye. I ended up 30 points behind the FIRST place optic shooter who shoots competition pistol nationally. So with that being said the Ruger DOES SHOOT GREAT ! It is completely stock, trigger and action,, they are NOT bad at all for being about $200.00 cheaper than the CZ. It is very accurate and easy to hit the X over and over. My friend beat me by 5 points in the class with an older Winchester. I will probably get the fiber optic (w I do they had green) front sight for the CZ457 and try it next year. Just putting a fact out there for the Ruger.

    I just picked up the same rifle last weekend. Looking forward to trying it out. And I noted the same issue about magazine availability - or non-availability. CZ USA couldn't tell me when magazines would be available again. However, I did manage to find a supplier that had the 25 round magazines, so I ordered a couple. Check out Diproductsinc.com for CZ aftermarket accessories.

    Don't fuck up the cleaning. Stay with nylon. .17 or .20. A .22 cleaning rod or jag won't fit. Cz bores are .211. Much smaller than any other. No need to thank me.

    great video, I bought a jaguar off gunbroker and the guy emailed me a week later saying it was out of stock, back to gun broker to find one. Still deciding if I'm going to stick with the jaguar or go the with the 24" barrel.
