So, is this also a way to move your game from one console to the other with moving the SD card? At least, if you own two (modded) consoles and would like the data to the other? Well, more specifically I'd like to just move the DLC content to the game I've already played far enough to benefit from that, while I do have it in another copy of the game where I'd need to begin from the start. It takes quite a while in this particular game to get to the point again to use the DLC content. Any help how you transfer that?
One small question Is there a way to port the save data too? I wanna hand over a game to my friend, and I’m currently making the cia of it to keep the digital version, but I wanna keep my save data too.
Does it keep your save data? I want to dump my games in my 3ds because the cartridge reader is starting to have some issues. Does it keep my save data?
@_kal_storm4785 With the DS games you can copy the .sav (save file) to gm9 out when you dump the cartridge then copy it to the roms/nds/saves folder. Atleast that's what I do
Do you know where the game is located once its been installed? I want to keep the save file I have and (from my knowledge) need to know where its stored to be able to use it
Hey i have a question why are you videos rated 13+? And also for “tech-savvy’s” only well don’t mean a hate comment I mean that your directing people aged 13+ and “ should be tech savvy’s” witch means someone aged 26-42 (1981-1997) please reply to me asap
Here again so the 13+ reason why is because of the minimum age witch makes some sense but the "tech savvy" part doesn't make sense so there's very little reason of adding that age rating all RUclips tech tutorial channels don't even need age ratings
You can use a larger micro SD card, but you have to format it as FAT32 on a computer first. Then, just transfer your original files onto the new card and you'll have more space. Hope that helps! (You can also look it up for more info)
Why are your videos so good!? Made a spot in my top 10 fav tech channels fr. Thanks for the awesome content!!

Is there anything wrong with building an image instead of a CIA?
what if i want my cartridge save on both the cartridge and 3ds
Oh NICE I'm gonna take all my 3ds pokemon games into one console so I can have THE console. Is it possible to do this with DS cartridges??
Yes but you will need twilightmenu++ to play them
@@EvanTetro That I can do! Thank you very much, your channel has been so useful 💜💜
keep up the modded ds content bro!
This was a really helpful video, thank bro
Does this transfer game saves as well, and if not how do you?
One small question

I forgot how it works but the homebrew app called Checkpoint can copy your save to the SD card.
Does it keep your save data? I want to dump my games in my 3ds because the cartridge reader is starting to have some issues. Does it keep my save data?
No, use checkpoint.
@@eXperianceHD does this include ds games?

Do a video on how to export a game i make to a cartidge! Maybe even my own custom cartridges
Thank you very helpful!
How do I get my save from the cart to downloaded to the installed image of the game so I don’t fully need my cart for my save
I'm not sure, but is that Chekpoint stuff? It does backup safe files at least... if that's what you're after.
Does this process carry over the save files on the cartridge?
No but there is an app that lets you do that. It’s on the eShop
@@EvanTetro thx for the response
@@EvanTetro lol not anymore but I grabbed it while I could
@@EvanTetro What's the app called? sorry ik i'm late
Checkpoint app allows you to make backups of your saves to the SD card.
Can I do this if said games have already been downloaded on my modded 3DS ?
Do you know where the game is located once its been installed? I want to keep the save file I have and (from my knowledge) need to know where its stored to be able to use it
It is stored on the game card, I believe you can transfer the save to the sd card with checkpoint

RUclips’s minimum age requirement is 13. The tech savvy part in my channel description is a joke since I make tech videos
Thanks..........

How do you have so much space. I use a 32 gb sd card and im already out of space on my modded 3ds
I don’t have a lot of stuff installed

Just a quick question why the trim cia?
It’s smaller in file size
Does Dumping ruin the game cartridge or is it essentially copying?
It’s essentially copying. You’re not affecting the cartridge in any way.
Awesome news thank you@@EvanTetro
Is it possible to backup the saves?
yes, there is a save data transfer tool or you can extract the .sav file from the card
@@EvanTetro ty very much
Does this also work for DS games or only 3DS?
This works for both. But you will need Twilightmenu++ to play DS games
@@EvanTetrowhat do I do if the DS game doesn't work for some reason?
thanks ^_^
So what's the use in actually doing this other than making them digital? I'm sure the cartridges also saves storage on sd card too
To make sure you always have the game, even if the physical cart fails?
If you're ever travelling, you wouldn't need to bring every physical game that you want to play with you, you can just being the 3ds.
@@Boxolotl That's actually great idea, didn't think of that! The physical cartridges take so much space if you have many.
Does it also work for Nintendo DS Games
will your save file still there??

How to do it with ds game
