There is a corpse flower I've seen and smelled at the botanical garden in Washington DC. Very strong unpleasant smell when they bloom. They make it an event.
Took my Kindle on a flight to South Carolina this past week. I have NEVER been able to read on a plane, but with the Kindle I have no problems. Must be the back lighting. That was a true pleasure.
Have you ever tried doggy ear muffs for P? Might help if you can get him to wear them.
If you do ever write a book let me know. My nephew's wife is a reader/rewriter for a publisher. They mostly help people self publish and guide them through it.

they had this one sectioned off so we weren't able to smell it, but i've heard it's terrible!!
i'm so happy to hear it! honestly i feel the same way, it's the only way i've been able to read on a plane :)
i do have something similar to ear muffs but it hasn't seemed to help, im thinking about getting him a thunder jacket!
that's so cool! if i get that far into it i would definitely love someone to take a look at it :)
