just had mine fixed, same boiler,,, I had slow blue light flashing, fast red light reset button flashing, and now green pilot light in the flame symbol,,,, I tried reset, topped my pressure back up to just above 1 bar because it was a bit low, reset again, same thing as before, lights started flashing after a few moments,,, got gas guy out, he said straight away it looks like gas valve, and it was, took him about 1 hour to fix, my housing association use there own firm, so it was free fix for me.
N Warburton hi, sorry for this. My boiler is causing the same problem, did you manage to find a solution? I’ve had the gas valve, electrodes and full clean out done but still the same issue. According to some research it could be a blocked burner but would like to know if you managed to resolve your problem and if so how? Thank you
@Col7777 I finally called out the engineer , the problem was the gas pressure , it came from a faulty gas regulator on the actual main gas meter , He rang the Gas board direct , they consider this problem an emergency and guarantee to be at you're home in 2 hours , They changed the regulator and the boiler was good as new . And because the problem was from the gas meter itself the repair was free , just had to pay £30 to the boiler engineer
@Col7777 try this , switch you gas off at the mains meter for half an hour and the boiler , turn it back on the gas first then the boiler if it fires up it's definitely a gas regulator problem , this is just a quick fix I used so I could quickly get a shower , and it only works for about an hour or two max
